Aria
I pull myself along the dusty pathway to my house. I hold a small bag containing some fruits. Father requested for them, so I had to get them.
As I walk along, the bushes behind me rustle and I tilt my head to the side to see what it is. I pause in my tracks to observe them for a while, it stops rustling so I just continue my walk.
With each step I take, the bushes continue their rustling, getting louder with each second.
I grind my teeth in annoyance, "What is that?" I hiss, picking up a stone, then throwing it in the direction the noise is coming from. All these annoying little pests.
"Ugh."
I turn on my heels to continue my walk when I feel cold hands wrap around my neck from behind. My heart skips several beats, and I freeze on the spot too shaken to turn around.
"Well, who do we have here?" A familiar high-pitched voice sounds in my ear.
Wait.. Ronan?!
I swallow hard before managing to free myself from his grip. I turn on my heels to look at him, "What do you want?" I snarl at him.
His lips turn downwards, "So you think you can just reject me, then just leave me like that without any consequences?"
I grimace at his words, "I can see you are still stupid though, why would I want to keep you as a mate? Besides, I have nothing to lose, there is nothing you can do to me!"
He shakes his head, his eyes glinting with amusement.
Hello? Do I sound funny? Heat crawls up my neck, before finally resting on my burning cheeks.
"Go do something with your life you miserable cheating rogue!" I spit at him, before turning around.
He pulls me back with a rough force, "Do you think I would shiver all because of some mere words? Oh you have done a terrible thing Aria," I can hear his teeth grind against each other.
He is growing crazier by the day!
"I literally did not ask you to cheat on me! You felt like doing it, and now you are blaming me! For being stupid!" I almost yell.
A woman walks past with a pup in her arms. She throws a disgusted glance at us, before continuing her walk.
"Madam! Wait!" I call after her, trying so hard to release my grip from his.
She does not stop, neither does she even slow down a bit, she rather increases her pace like she is suddenly walking on hot coals.
"No one will save you, you are stuck with me now," his mouth slowly flashes the most disgusting grin I have ever seen. He flashes his teeth at me, but his eyes are burning with a kind of ferocity that is somehow.. intimidating.
I shiver a little, "Let me go Ronan," my hairs on my skin all stand up, my hands are trembling like as if it is a leaf, what is going on?
Am I scared?
What? No! That can not be!
I better do something!
Quick!
I look around for some kind of weapon I can attack him with, but then before I know what is happening, Ronan grabs my hand, twisting it to the side.
I let out a loud groan, my hand burning from the force of his manhandling.
"Let go of me! What are you doing?" I scream, hitting his chest hard, but that does not deter him! The rogue seems to be enjoying this;
"You are mine Aria," his eyes gleam with a wildness I can not decipher. He clenches his jaw, gripping my hand tighter, then draws me closer, pulling my hair.
"Ahh! Stop this!" I try as much as I can to get away, but each attempt of mine is futile as I am getting weaker each second he grips me hard.
"Ronan stop this! I never asked you to--"
"Shut up! You are basically the reason I had to cheat! Why are you such a boring person? Never let me touch you, you do not even try to ignite sparks--" he grabs my face, tightening his hold each second. He pulls me closer till I feel his hot breath fanning my face.
Good goddess! Why can he not at least wash his mouth clean?
I grimace. His mouth reeks of raw meat, and alcohol. It is getting too much, that my insides churn, and I feel like puking my insides out.
"I will make sure you suffer what I did at my rejection," his hands wrap around my neck again.
"Excuse me? Should I have kept you? What if reverse was the case?!"
"I already told you!" He yanks my hair with so much force I think some stands come out with his hand.
I whimper, I am in so much pain. I have not yet recovered from that, before I feel his cold hands around mine again, he clasps at my neck, crushing my windpipe. He grips harder till my throat feels as though it is not part of my body anymore.
My tongue sticks out as I try to catch my breath, but he grabs it all the more. My tongue sticks out, while he strangles my neck until my face is turning blue.
My stomach growls with heat, my lungs scream with pain as no air is passing through them anymore. I am finding it difficult to breathe, move, even at this point I do not know if I am finding it difficult to die.
"I will end you Aria!" His voice falters, his eyes gleaming with unshed tears, "It did not have to come to this, but you made me do it!"
What exactly did I do?
My thoughts are beginning to fade, darkness coming to replace them. My eyes begin to blur, while my throat burns as if needles are pricking my windpipe. My cheeks flood with so much heat I think I am going to explode.
I can not think of anything, anyone.
I blink my already blinded vision.
"If only you had just given in to me," I hear a sob.
Is he crying?
"You just had to give in to me--" I hear a sickening bone crack.
Pow!
Punches.
Kicks.
More stomach churning cracks. Are those my bones breaking?
Ronan's grip on me begin to falter, slowly he lets go of me.
My neck feels as though it has been smashed together. I do not feel any rush of air as soon as he lets go.
"Aria?" A hoarse voice calls my name, strong arms wrap around me.
Who is it?
I black out.
