Julio dipped himself in the bathtub for the longest time ever. Since they got home, neither of them had said any word to the other. It was almost as if everyone was trying to figure things out for themselves. Julio had been for a bath and he went straight to the bathroom and stripped down, dipping himself as he was thinking.
Occasionally, he would check on Demona to see if his punishment was ready, all he got was a negative response. He started wondering what it would be like if he should lose his memory over all of this and start all over. That was something he could not deal with, so he got out of the bathtub, totally ignoring the need to grab a towel as he went to the living room.
Martha sat down there, teary eyed and quivering as she kept rocking back and forth. She was sobbing and sniffing when he entered and as soon as she noticed he was in there, she forced a smile on her face as she glanced up at him.
