The headmaster sighed.
There was not much he could say. Everything Oliver said made sense.
Without the corruption inside the military, they couldn't have smuggled children into second earth.
Without military support, the research outpost would have never been built. And they couldn't have hidden themselves this long.
So, what else is there to say?
When he read the document, the dirty secrets of the military came into full display.
"I heard the headmaster hates demons. I, too, never liked them. But don't be blinded by hate. Tunnel vision is the last thing you want when dealing with demons.
"Unlike us, demons don't feel emotions. They do not sympathise with the weak nor care about the methods they chose to reach their goal.
"So, expect them to play dirty.
"The corruption in the military is just a tool for them.
"Thus, if you want to kill all demons, you need to be prepared to eliminate a few of our own."
Oliver muttered while the others seriously contemplated.
His words served two purposes. One was to make them align with his goal, while the other was to improve his image.
Like demons, he too would use any means necessary to reach his goal.
"The time has come to take action. With the method I recommend, you would have already analysed the blood of everyone in the camp. You know who the demons are and who was collaborating with them. Instead of waiting to find out more about them, you need to take swift action to eliminate them."
"Once the demons catch onto what you are doing, they might take radical actions," Oliver added.
His words kept on nudging them to take action.
"I agree." Finally, Dr Lark opened his mouth and nodded. "We can't let this go on. The lives of everyone in the city depends on it."
Oliver smiled. This was exactly what he was hoping for.
"Hm." Although it took some time, even the headmaster nodded in the end.
Oliver was thrilled to see it.
'There might be hope for humanity.' He said in his mind.
In the past, Oliver rarely tried to convince others to be part of his cause. And it was one of his greatest weaknesses.
In this life, he hoped to change that.
By using the people around him and pointing them at his enemies, he wishes to make his life a lot easier.
While Oliver was cooking up one plot after another in his mind, the headmaster walked up to him and said, "Oliver, the public shouldn't see this information."
In an instant, Oliver knew what he meant.
"I will never speak about it. I promise." Without any need for him to speak further, Oliver answered.
However, what he said was not entirely true. He had other plans for the information, and he would visit some of the organizations that trafficked humans to do what he thought was necessary.
"That's for the best. You don't want to gain their attention." Dr Lark continued to speak, "Insta Heal is merging with the biotech division of Trinity Tech. They will try everything to prevent the information from leaking. So, we have to hide your identity."
"Okay."
Oliver agreed.
If his identity was leaked, he might get attacked by both humans and demons. So, it was a necessary precaution.
And when he spoke of Trinity Tech, the pieces began to fit together. The creator of the healing solution was a company called Trinity Tech.
It was this exact tech they used to imprison him in the past.
'So, will my actions affect them?' Oliver wished to wait and see.
Trinity Tech was a large, multinational corporation with its arms spreading out far and wide into all fields of technology. However, their focus was on energy, telecommunication and biotechnology.
To maintain their interest, they were known to heavily lobby politicians. Just like all corporations that grew too large for their own good, their hands were not as clean as they showed them to be.
It was a bad idea to stand in their way right now.
Once they talked about everything else, the headmaster thanked him for saving his people. As a reward, he was given a business card and a promise.
The card held the personal contact information of the headmaster, an S-ranker.
And the promise was to do any one thing he requests.
Oliver was thrilled to receive it.
Although the promise came with terms and conditions attached, it was still better than anything he had.
The value of the favour and the card was beyond what he could estimate.
"He he he." He giggled, looking at the card and went back to his room to get a good night of sleep.

"What do you think about Oliver?" Dr Lark asked the headmaster.
"He is a little green to be scheming against me. Ha ha." The headmaster laughed.
He knew exactly how Oliver slowly nudged him to kill all the demons, if necessary even the people that helped them.
"Even I could see that. He probably noticed that we noticed. So, maybe his schemes were not as simple as it seems."
"Maybe it is not. Maybe it is. However, I am sure that he will be a great ally." The headmaster's interest was piqued. "He is competent, calm and calculating. The fact that he saved exactly 15 of the people we sent means that he had his priorities straight. The kid means no harm, and as long as it remains like that, I can play along."
"Hm." Dr Lark nodded.
Oliver, who could detect demons, was a great asset. And a person who could face mortal danger and laugh was even better.
Often, what limits human growth is the willpower they have.
Oliver fulfilled a majority of their prerequisites.
"Will we formally recruit him to our team?" Dr Lark asked.
"Someday, in the future." The headmaster replied.

Oliver went back, took a bath and laid on his bed. He was exhausted beyond reason; his mind was slowly shutting down. Everything that happened that day had drained his mental energy.
'Still, it went better than expected.' Oliver said in his mind.
'But at the same time, I need to upgrade my ability. At least ten thousand litres. It's the bare minimum I need for what is about to come.'
Oliver thought back to the time he lost his brother.
In a few days, he will leave the second earth and return to his home. By that time, he had to grow strong enough to protect his family.
'Maybe I can use the beast horde to drain a lot of blood and upgrade my ability.'
'It will not be easy, but I should do it.'
'The task of cleaning the beast carcasses would fall to the butchering team. I need to be there.'
Oliver's mind was listless. It made him think of everything all at once, always overloading his mind. But it was also his superpower. He was always ready for anything the world would throw at him.
