Valcair stared in shock as Zain stood behind him.
His bloodied hand still pressed against his chest, struggling to keep himself upright.
"How...?" Valcair rasped, his voice barely a whisper.
"How can you be behind me?"
Zain's smirk deepened, his eyes gleaming with a chilling amusement.
"It's pretty easy," he said, his voice low and mocking.
"I have some abilities that let me walk silently."
He circled around Valcair, the sound of his footsteps barely audible.
"And with you focused so much on her…"
He gestured toward Velra, who stood a few feet away, watching the scene unfold with a calculating gaze.
"You didn't really inspect your surroundings."
Valcair's eyes darkened.
He knew this was bad.
He could feel the weight of Zain's words.
His life was slipping away.
"If you kill me," Valcair growled, his voice edged with desperation.
"All my slaves will be enraged."
"Some of them even have the power of AA-ranked heroes."
"Do you really want to kill me?"
