Zain sat on the edge of his bed, staring through the open door.
Outside in the living room, Zelia sat quietly with Savra.
Zain narrowed his eyes, watching his big sister for a moment.
She looked calm, but something still gnawed at him.
He sighed.
"She's strong," he muttered.
"She survived the simulation… she can fight now."
He leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees.
"But still… no awakened ability."
"Not even a low-tier. Just her hands and what I gave her in that war."
His eyes darkened slightly.
"That's not enough. Not if more slave soldiers show up."
"Not if another monster like Valcair appears."
He pulled up his system screen and stared at his point balance.
"Good thing I've got points."
He didn't hesitate.
"Let's give her something basic. She already fights well."
"These'll help her stay alive."
