As the night air was as thick with tension as Superior Cadet, Supa K, and Eclipsion moved stealthily through the city's industrial districts site. In their destination, the weapons warehouse that was rumored to be a front for the Green Oni syndicates. Every darkened corner seemed to pulsing anxiety, but as every distant sound of a indication of conflict.
As the trio reached to the outskirts of the warehouse, an sinister silence replaced the hum of machinery and distant traffic. The building had loomed before them, it had broken windows and rusted doors that shows neglect and corruption. Kameron's eyes, ever watchful, scanned the area with X-ray vision on his left and UV on his right eye. While Supa K takes the left with infrared vision and Eclipsion takes the right with Night vision
"Stay sharp guy's," he whispered. "There's more here than just smuggling operations, somethingis giving me a bad feeling."
Before they could breach into building, a gust of wind swept through the alley, carrying with it an almost electric surge. The air molecules vibrated with a power that was unmistakably alien. In that moment, a figure emerged from the swirling darkness it was a figure whose presence seemed to warp its very own atmospheric around him.
He was cloaked in dark, almost glowing purple armor that shimmered with shades of midnight blue and silver. His own eyes burned with a fierce intensity, he used Heat vision for a split second that was fire red, and as he stepped forward, the heroes were instinctively tensed.
The stranger's voice cut through the silence, deep and resonant "So this is what has become of my race? One of the heroes of Earth or should I say, the remnants of the Kaethorion people legacy?"
Supa K's stance shifted from defensive to hostile as he took a step forward. "Wait, Who are you?" he demanded, blue energy crackling around his fists. "We don't have time for any games."
The stranger's stare would've swept over the trio, lingering on each of their faces as if it were weighing their souls. "I am Tempest, I'm sure you remember me," he declared. "Once, like you, I fought for a cause among the stars. Now, I've returned to witness what has become of our people. And I must say Supremus would be very disappointed, especially with good soldiers on the other side."
The single word hung in the air like a dark curse. Kameron's mind raced with memories of whispered names from his homeworld the name Supremus, a dark figure whose ideals had once divided the Kaethorions and how he fled from homeworld.
Eclipsion's eyes narrowed. "What do you mean by that? Tempest, are you saying Supremus coming here?"
Tempest's expression grew somber, the storm around him intensifying. "No, Supremus is in another part of the Multiverse he was once and still is our guiding force, a warrior of unparalleled might, vision, and power, he's one of the top strongest people in our race. He believed in unity among our kind, but his methods grew ruthless, and his heart, cold. I see now that our legacy has splintered. You, my very own race, are trying to protect a world that may be our old habits, but i ensure you our new ways are flawless. And that… that is the reason we can take over a galaxy within a week."
Kameron's voice was steady despite the rising rage within him. "We protect Earth because it's our new home, something you guys took from us. Our duty isn't just to the old ways, but to those who need us. Something you wouldn't understand."
Tempest would then let out a bitter laugh that summoned the distant thunder. "Your home? Your duty? You cling to these words as if they can mend the scars of your exile. Yet, every choice has its cost. If Supremus were here, he'd see your hesitation as weakness. You don't even belong here neither should you save it, look at humanity just a fucking mistake."
The words stung badly, for a moment, doubt began to flicker across Supa K's confident facade. Tempest's stare shifted to him. "And you, Supa K, with all your cocky attitude … Do you truly believe that your fake expressions can mask the Depression within? Your people once soared among the stars, yet you play in the applause of mortals."
Before any of them could respond, a sharp noise metal scraping against concrete rang out from inside the warehouse. Tempest's eyes flickered; his voice hardened. "Our business is not with these petty human criminals here. But mark my own words, once the communication is active, Supremus will arrive, I have weapons to deliver. I am here not to join your fight, but to deliver a warning."
He stepped closer, the air around him charged with raw, uncontrolled energy. "Return to your mission. But remember every act of heroism on this forsaken planet brings you closer to the fate your side once tried to escape. If you continue down this path, Lord Supremus's and his minions will be your undoing."
With that, Tempest's flew through the atmosphere at the speed of light. For a long, agonizing moment, the heroes stood silent, the weight of his words sanked in. Their enemy wasn't the ones in front of them sometimes it was the legacy of their own past, haunting them with every step they take.
Supa K clenched his fists. "We have a mission to do, let's atleast try to make it," he said, though his voice was wavered with uncertainty. "Let's get back on track. We'll finish what we came here to do and maybe one day, we'll stop Tempest."
Cautiously, the trio had moved towards the warehouse. But the encounter with Tempest had left a bitter seed of doubt. Their legacy, their past, and the enigmatic figure of Supremus would now loomed large a storm that threatened to consume them if they didn't confront it, Eclipsion would round up the villains and take care of the mess.
