Chapter 15 - What's wrong with Lunaria?

My name is Lunaria, since yesterday there has always been something bothering my mind, I turned to the left, saw a male figure sitting beside me, His voice seemed to be drifting away, I kept staring at his face, taking in every detail.

"What's wrong Lunaria? Didn't you hear me?"

I was shocked, as soon as I realized he had turned to me, his eyes narrowed, looking at me with confusion and curiosity hidden there.

"Ah... I'm sorry Kama, I'm just a little... Dizzy."

He reached out his hand without hesitation, touching my forehead with the back of his hand, I looked up at his face.

"Are you dizzy because of my explanation?"

"No... Your explanation is good enough, mathematics is indeed confusing."

He nodded, giving a soft chuckle that was so typical of him.

"Well... Mathematics is indeed a headache."

I chuckled softly in response, but then for a moment I fell back into thought, staring at my textbook.

"Is there something wrong, Luna?

"No... It's just... Yesterday's thing."

"I already said it yesterday, just pretend it never happened, okay?"

I banged the table lightly, then I let my sharp gaze focus on his eyes, his sweat was dripping nervously, but there was a faint red painting on his cheeks.

"But still, right? Yesterday was so abnormal, and besides, I don't understand why you could just turn everything around like that."

"W-Well... It was indeed unnatural for you guys at that time."

My eyes sparkled, then I held both of his hands tightly, his face was colored a little bit of a faint red again, turning his face away from me.

"Please explain to me, at that time I only got a brief explanation that you guys have super powers, right?"

"You could say that... But I don't think it's entirely true, Maybe I'll explain it to you someday, but not now."

I pursed my lips in annoyance, while laughter came from him, he rubbed my head, ruffling my hair affectionately, The waiter gave me my order, I just took it and ate it with an annoyed expression, he put on his mischievous smile.

"Why are you making such a face huh?"

He took a strand of my hair, then kissed it and gave me a mischievous smile that made me feel uncomfortable.

"Stop that, you're giving me the creeps!!"

He laughed out loud, as if enjoying every expression I made earlier, I kept my face annoyed, trying to act indifferent, he took something out of his pocket, diverted my attention to him.

It was a ticket, for two people, he handed it to me, I examined every detail of the ticket, then my gaze met his.

"This... For what?"

He gave a faint smile, but it also contained a little mischief still hidden within it.

"Movie tickets for two people, Luna, are you free tomorrow?"

I gasped in surprise, then my cheeks heated up, my eyes glanced back at him who was starting to smile widely, I nodded slightly, accepted his offer happily.

"I... I would... But is this really just for me?"

He reached into his pocket again, then took out a lot of tickets, about five or so, his face changed to that of an innocent man, his voice lowered.

"I've offered it to my friends, Queen and the others, but they all refused, and the only one who's free is you."

"I-Is that so."

My face heated up, I let my attention return to the food, and went back to eating.

"I almost misunderstood, why did I expect too much?"

I glanced at him, and I found him moving his face closer to mine, giving a more mischievous smile than before, his hand supporting his chin, looking at me deeply.

"Don't tell me you really want to consider this a date, huh?"

"W-What? I didn't say that!!!"

His hand moved to wipe my lips, cleaning some of the remaining food there, making my face heat up again, and my chest beat faster.

"Why not just be honest? I can read people's hearts too, you know."

"Huh, whatever."

And so, our date will begin tomorrow.

*

I don't know if I was too excited or what, I was standing near one of the trees in the park, wearing feminine clothes that I wasn't used to wearing, my cheeks turned red, then I let my eyes look at the cellphone, seeing the last time we talked in chat, talking about tomorrow's promise.

"Today I will not let my cheerful girlish nature control me, I must be a graceful girl."

Or at least that's what I thought, now that I saw his figure in the distance, wearing a black shirt as usual, with plain grey pants, his smile widened as soon as he saw me, and he walked towards me.

"You look very beautiful today."

I smiled faintly, looking up at him trying to maintain a graceful demeanor.

"Thank you for your compliment, you look handsome today too."

I spoke while making formal gestures, a bead of sweat rolled down his temple, feeling the confusion of my actions.

"H-Huh? What's wrong with you Luna?"

"There's nothing wrong with me."

His hand reached for mine without any hesitation, giving me a warm smile, causing a faint blush to appear on my cheeks.

"You cheat."

"I don't understand what you mean, let's start walking."

Our footsteps began to dominate, walking straight to reach the cinema building, during the journey I kept glancing at him several times, our gazes sometimes met each other.

"He won't even hold my hand."

I grumbled in my heart in annoyance, my eyes once again glanced at him sharply, he realized it was getting awkward, confused about what he should do next.

"A-Ahh... It's a bit crowded out front, how about we hold hands so... we don't get separated."

I turned my head in surprise, I saw a blush on his cheeks, I smiled, then I let his hold my hand.

Our feet started to walk again, at that time it was very crowded with people, but for some reason it felt like a silence filled between us, he walked beside me, averting his gaze.

"Hey, can we really relax like this?"

He turned his head, then gave a faint smile that felt warm.

"Don't worry, my friends are taking care of some of the problems."

"Is it okay to just leave it to them?"

He nodded slowly, his hand gripping mine tighter.

"Don't worry, none of my friends blame me for that."

I nodded slowly hearing that, my eyes swept the surrounding area as I got closer to the cinema building, there were a lot of people, but they were all dominated by couples of girls and boys, once again I looked at him who was still focused on walking.

"What's wrong Luna?"

I was shocked, realizing that I had just been lost in thought for a moment, I shook my head slowly.

"It's okay, let's continue."

*

The cold air inside the cinema welcomed us, we decided to watch a romantic movie, but it wasn't what I expected. Every romantic scene, he would just react flatly, it made me feel a little disappointed in him.

Each scene passes so quickly, that it doesn't feel like it all just ends, so flat, without us continuing to communicate while watching it together.

"What do you think Luna?"

I was lost in thought, even though my feet continued to walk straight ahead, my eyes swept across every empty space in the air.

"That was a bit of fun."

Without me realizing, his face came closer, looking at my face so closely, I gasped as soon as I turned to him.

"I messed everything up, didn't I? I'm sorry."

"What do you mean? Of course not, today was really fun you know."

He was silent, pensively staring at his footsteps which continued to move.

"I don't really like romance genre movies, There are only a few that I like, besides the story was so shitty, the main character left the girl he liked for a long time, and turned to a new one, that's one thing I hate the most."

"I think you're right, the girl who was with him back then was indeed a girl in the village, she was there from the beginning, it was cloudy for the main character to do anything, but once the main character became successful, He even confessed to another girl, that's annoying, right?"

Kama chuckled softly, His hand then reached for mine, giving me a deep look that he didn't usually show.

"We still have time until evening, do you want to come with me somewhere?"

I remained motionless, but for some reason my head nodded, agreeing with him just like that, we started walking, walking away from the hustle and bustle of the crowd.

Far from the crowd, we sat in a place full of clean green grass, above us a large tree stood, rustling as the wind blew past it.

"This place is so relaxing, isn't it?"

"It really feels very peaceful here."

The western horizon began to be colored by a beautiful orange glow, like gold covering the clouds at that time, I turned to him, waiting for something he might want to tell me.

"Kama... You don't want to say... Something."

"Me? I didn't say anything, I have nothing to say, if you have something to say you can go first."

I looked up at the sky, then I let my innocent face stare at him with a cute expression.

"Tell me why your name sounds weird."

Kama put on a straight face, his lips seemed to transform into a perfect horizontal line, his eyes narrowed in hidden annoyance.

"Well... Maybe my name sounds strange to people, because I'm of mixed blood."

"Is that true?????"

I was too excited, getting too close to him, causing him to push my head away a little with his hand.

"Yes, my mother is from Asia, more precisely from Indonesia, so maybe that's what makes my name a little strange."

"I didn't... I didn't think that far, no wonder your skin looks unique."

Laughter filled the two of us, then replaced by a moment of silence, to give us a break from staring at the darkening sun.

"I've said what I wanted to ask, now it's your turn!!!"

"Do I really have to ask you? It's a hassle."

"Oh come on, any question is fine."

He took a deep breath, then his hand grabbed my wrist, my body was trapped between the tree and his body, making my face turn red and shocked by his actions.

"W-What are you doing Kama?"

"Luna."

I let my full attention focus on him, looking at him looking down, then a much softer voice came from him again.

"Have we... Really never met before?"
