"Why are you eating anyway? We don't really need to eat, you know?"
Genta stared at him rather sharply, while Zaki was still chewing his food silently. Their eyes met each other, Genta's expression flattened when he saw Zaki's useless reaction, well... He didn't care.
"You know, we don't really need food, but rather than calling it a need I prefer to say it's a pleasure."
He spun the spoon in his hand with his usual nonchalant gesture.
"You're the same, right? Even though you don't need food to truly live, you still eat it to enjoy it."
Genta turned his gaze, his left hand supporting his chin, to look to the left, gazing out the window.
"Well... I don't deny it."
Genta was silent, and those moments were replaced by silence and the regular clinking of spoons, his eyes gazing out the window, but the glass blocked him, and and in a flashback to when he knew nothing, when he was powerless to save the girl he liked.
Zaki licked his spoon, the spoon stuck in his mouth. His eyes looked straight at Genta who was motionless, just frozen.
"Well... Whatever the problem, it's definitely better not to think about things that block the way out."
Zaki spoke, his tone sarcastic, but implied a deep message and a sense of concern from a friend in general. Genta turned his head, he knew exactly what his friend meant, his smile started to grow.
"Thank you... I will remember that."
Zaki was silent, his eyes still clearly reflecting Genta's figure in front of him, then he closed them and got up from his seat.
"This is what you want, right? Let's look for them again."
His steps started to walk out of the entrance of the small restaurant, his hand went down to reach into his pocket, took out a cigarette there, He lit the cigarette and then started smoking it.
Genta walked hurriedly, trying to follow Zaki from behind. His speed increased to match Zaki's speed, he turned his head.
"But... Where will we find Noah?"
Zaki glanced, then took a drag from his cigarette with a puff of smoke exhaling from his mouth.
"Well... You said he was a kid, right?"
Genta nodded quickly, without giving even a brief pause at that moment.
"Well... We just have to find a place where there's a higher chance of finding small children."
Genta lowered his head slightly when he heard that, then his head lifted to look at Zaki beside him.
"I'm not sure... Noah is not an ordinary child, how could he go to a place where children often visit?"
***
There he was, he striking black robes, his tiny body and in stark contrast to his appearance, his smile that was more gripping than his age should have suggested.
Genta froze, and in an instant, he knew that the figure in front of him was the little boy who had belittled him earlier, his hands clenched with strong emotions there.
Genta felt a soft pat on his shoulder, he was a little surprised, then he turned to see Zaki with a contrasting expression as usual, looking at the sky.
"Take a look at the sky, Genta."
Genta blinked, then his eyes widened instantly as he clearly saw the clouds stop moving, the birds stay where they were, even creatures as small as ants froze by the law of time.
"Is it what I think it is?"
Zaki chuckled softly, then his pair of eyes returned to watching Noah who was still busy playing on the swing in the park.
"I think I believe you about him being no ordinary kid."
Genta's eyes swept around, frozen, nothing moved at all, while there, the innocent little child was playing on the swing without any sin at all.
"It seems he has some kind of mechanism to stop time, I noticed, when at a certain distance, the time around us has stopped."
Genta was stunned, he looked more seriously at Zaki who was still smiling thinly with his uniqueness.
"You mean... When we get to a certain distance, it just activates?"
Zaki chuckled, then shook his head slowly with a gesture that still looked relaxed.
"I don't know... Assumptions are still assumptions, there is no real evidence if we don't test it directly."
Silence filled the air, Genta's breath suddenly became heavy when he saw Zaki's smile spread thinly on his lips. He started to look back.
"Am I right? Little boy."
Genta flinched, and in an instant he turned his head, what a terrifying sight, Noah was standing on a roof of a housing complex, his hands bent behind him holding a large sickle made of glass.
"I feel something is different about you... Are you the leader?"
Noah's question flew out of his mouth. Hearing that, Zaki chuckled softly, he shook his head.
"My leader is the one behind the mirror because you sent him."
Noah's laughter just came out, his body shaking feeling the stinging laughter. In an instant he stopped laughing, a thin smile spread across his lips, his face dark with emphasis.
He raised a finger, and in an instant a large mirror appeared behind Zaki trying to swallow him. Naoh was stunned when he saw the impossible, Zaki's body went through the mirror that should have sent him to another place, even Genta was completely destroyed.
"W-What is this?"
Noah muttered softly, while Zaki's face was still filled with calm and his flat expression was maintained perfectly.
Noah did various attacks, again, and again and again, he kept trying to move him behind the mirror like the others, but all he got was frustration.
"Wait... I seem to understand what the system is like. Unlike Genta whose soul is unreachable to me, this person doesn't have a conventional soul. Like... a dead thing."
Noah started flying against the gust of wind, his expression hardened, he didn't expect another member of the money to be that dangerous.
Feeling safe enough, Noah stretched his hand forward, a mirror appeared, and as usual, he would disappear without a trace once again.
Two hands pierced through the mirror, Noah's eyes widened at the sight, and it tore through it as easily as it tore paper, the space lost its control, and as the glass fragments thinned, Noah growled, saw Zaki as the person who did this.
The bodies of his friends began to fall from the sky, some conscious and some unconscious.
"Damn my ass hurts so bad!!!"
Ray shouted loudly, while Kama and the others started to stare at the sky, seeing two contrasting figures staring at each other intensely.
"Why are you doing this... I just want you to come back.
