Chapter 2 - The Daily Life of the God

"Li'er, your father and I are giving you a silk bracelet. We hope you like this gift."

A silk bracelet? What kind of bracelet did they just give me?

Honestly, I have to admit—I had no idea why my parents suddenly put a bracelet made of silk on my wrist.

Unfortunately, just as I was about to bite the silk bracelet on my wrist…

My vision changed. It showed me that I had been transported to another world.

Luckily, just as I was wondering if my parents had really abandoned me…

My vision shifted again, showing me the smiling faces of my father and mother.

'What is this? How can I sense what's happening so vividly?'

Unexpectedly, I began playing with the bracelet on my wrist again.

From the image in my mind, I could tell I had truly returned to my original world.

Still, I knew what the silk bracelet had shown me was nothing but a hallucination.

Maybe because of that, I didn't actually panic at the strange visions that appeared.

Instead, I looked like I was seriously considering asking what kind of item my parents had given me.

Without a second thought, I turned toward their faces.

By the way, my parents' names are Han Jiang and Han Xi.

At first, I thought they lived completely ordinary lives.

But it turned out—they were among the most influential people in the world of technology.

Maybe that's why they were able to give me something like a projection-based toy.

It wouldn't be surprising if they were the creators of the silk bracelet they gave me.

"My sweet child, this is a two-dimensional bracelet. You can imagine anything you want with it. Your father and I made this because we didn't want you to feel alone. We hope you enjoy your life."

My mother... was she truly this kind?

If I remember correctly, this was the first time I ever received affection from my parents.

Even a part of me felt really happy to be given a second life.

Otherwise, I'm not sure I could've reincarnated without being connected to my original body.

From the beginning, my goal was to completely sever that connection.

That way, it wouldn't be impossible for me to reincarnate as a normal person.

And now—what I wished for has truly come true.

Even though I didn't completely lose my powers, I didn't mind at all.

Instead, I was grateful. I had truly been reborn without anyone else interfering.

As time went on, I saw myself gradually growing up.

If I had to say, I'm now ten years old.

However, I no longer show a happy expression on my face.

Just look—my face now always holds a cold expression.

Even when I walk around the city, I don't look interested in anything.

Suddenly, I heard a monster's roar outside the islands of Shanghai.

Within seconds, I saw a man's body slam into a traffic light post.

"..."

But what? Am I supposed to care about some man stuck on a traffic light?

"Kid, c-could you ask someone for help? Uncle really needs them…"

"..."

"Kid? Wait! Don't go! I have some candy!"

Unfortunately, just as I had already walked away from the man stuck on the traffic light…

I stopped—realizing what the man was trying to offer me.

"Really? Do you really have some potato chips?"

"Hehe. You think your uncle would break a promise? You can count on me!"

"In that case, relax and watch me take care of this monster."

For a moment, I raised one of my hands toward the monster near the giant bridge.

At first, I knew that the man stuck on the traffic light had hoped I'd call for help from the locals.

But I didn't care. I was determined to eliminate the threat in front of me.

"Silence, and become a meatball. Kacham!"

In a split second, the monster's body on the bridge began forming into a giant, round lump.

Squish!

Even the man stuck on the traffic light looked like he couldn't believe what had just happened.

'How is this possible…?! That thing was a disaster-class monster! It's equivalent to a Soul Formation stage cultivator! How could it be destroyed by a ten-year-old kid?!'

If I had to say, I already knew what was going on in his mind.

But I didn't care—I just wanted my potato chips.

From the start, my only reason for walking down the road was to buy a bag of chips.

But who would've thought the shop owned by the snack lady would close so early?

Maybe that's why I wasn't exactly in the best mood.

"Kid… what did you just do?"

Unfortunately, just as the man tried to hear my reply…

I reached out and pulled him down from the top of the traffic light pole—without even moving from where I stood.

"So, Uncle, what about the thing you promised me? I've handled your problem."

"Ah… Right! Take all of these snacks! You can have them all!"

"Uncle, I only asked for one. Why are you giving me more than two?" I asked, without any intention of breaking my promise.

But judging by the man's reaction, I could tell he was genuinely terrified.

Just as I expected…

'I knew this would happen. I have to fix this myself.'

Without saying a word, I placed a hand on his forehead.

Then, I gave him a light flick to the head.

The moment my finger struck his forehead, he looked dazed.

Thud!

And within a few seconds, the man collapsed to the ground.

"Well, I should head home. I think my parents are probably worried about me. Also… thank you for the bag of chips."

By the way, I remembered who that man stuck on the traffic light pole was.

If I recall correctly, he's a fairly well-known figure on the internet.

Five years passed, and now I'm finally required to start my formal education.

Just look—I can see students walking through the main gates of Jinshi High School.

Some of them were crazy enough to flirt with every pretty girl they saw.

'First day… What should I do? Of course—I'm just here to live my normal life,' I thought. I had no intention of dealing with any of the weirdos.

For now, I needed to attend Jinshi High School's opening ceremony.

If I didn't show up, I was afraid my parents might scold me.

Step!

Suddenly, someone bumped into me—a man with no sense of responsibility.

Truth be told, I already knew this man was full of pride.

"Hmph! Jinshi High School? You think you can contain the talent of this young master?! How laughable!"

"Hey, bastard! Get down from the statue of Master Liu Wei! You're being completely disrespectful!"

"Master Liu Wei? Him? Tell him not to be so arrogant! Just because he sent my family an invitation, he thinks he can act however he wants?"

Absolutely ridiculous…

I was completely confused as to why these two people near the entrance of Jinshi High School were arguing so loudly—without a shred of shame.
