Black Squad – Episode 62: "The First Flame"
---
[Opening Scene – Rainy Night, Mumbai – Abandoned Police Outpost]
Lightning cracks as a fire erupts inside an old, defunct police outpost. A security guard runs out, screaming. Inside, a mannequin dressed in police uniform burns — badge number 0115.
The same number once belonged to Sub-Inspector Shamsher Singh, who died protecting a hostage from a sniper.
Murshad (voiceover, looking at the CCTV footage):
"It's a message. A mockery. He's reliving our deepest wounds."
---
[Scene 2 – Squad Meeting, Crime Branch]
The team gathers again, tense. The Architect has now made it clear — every new crime will be modeled on their past.
Imran opens an old case file of Episode 15 — the hostage rescue gone wrong.
Imran:
"Sniper, rooftop, deadline, a politician's daughter... and a cop who gave his life."
Zoya (angrily):
"Why dig up this? Shamsher was a brother to us!"
Murshad (coldly):
"Because this Architect believes trauma weakens you. Let's prove him wrong."
---
[Scene 3 – Flashback: Episode 15]
Short cinematic flashback — Shamsher Singh shouting to Qazi on comms, then pushing a hostage away as the bullet hits him.
We see young Arjun screaming, helpless.
Murshad (watching old footage):
"This is how fanatics are born. Not killers. Obsessives."
---
[Scene 4 – Present Day: A New Hostage Situation]
An identical situation is unfolding — a city commissioner's son is kidnapped. Same rooftop setup. Same sniper threat.
The Architect has re-staged Episode 15.
He left a note:
"Let's see who dies this time."
The team rushes to the site — an unfinished skyscraper.
---
[Scene 5 – Rooftop Tension]
Imran scans with a thermal scope.
Imran:
"Two bodies. One is the kid. One is moving... it's him."
Arjun (commanding):
"We do this by the book — no hero deaths today."
Zoya climbs up stealthily from the opposite side. Murshad coordinates air surveillance.
Suddenly — a sniper shot. But this time — it hits a mirror. The Architect faked the setup.
Zoya (on comms):
"He's not even here. It's a decoy."
---
[Scene 6 – Real Trap Unveiled]
At the exact same moment — a car bomb explodes near the commissioner's house — targeting his wife and daughter.
The team realizes: the real hostage was never the boy.
Murshad gets the call — they're safe, thanks to a patrolling unit he placed earlier.
Murshad (into comms):
"Check. Mate."
But— they find a phone at the fake crime scene. It rings.
---
[Scene 7 – The Call from the Architect]
Distorted voice.
The Architect:
"Impressive, Murshad. I expected grief to blind you. But I'll get under your skin too… soon."
Arjun (gritting his teeth):
"Who are you?! Why Shamsher?!"
The Architect:
"You forgot me. But I remember everything. Episode 15 wasn't just the death of a cop. It was the birth… of a shadow."
Call cuts.
---
[Scene 8 – The Revelation]
Imran scans faces from Episode 15's suspect list. One name stands out — Aaryan Kale, a radical who escaped before trial, blamed Qazi and the system for losing his brother in the crossfire.
Zoya:
"So it's personal. For him, we're all murderers."
Murshad (serious):
"Then we stop him before he rewrites our entire past."
---
[Final Scene – Murshad Alone at Night]
Murshad looks at Qazi's badge under glass.
He whispers:
Murshad:
"You were the shield. I'll be the sword."
As he turns off the light, the screen fades to black.
End of Episode 62
