Chapter 155 - Chapter 152: Warning! Warning!

Jiraiya was surrounded on all sides, outnumbered and outmatched.

But he had already accomplished his mission—confirming that the Akatsuki had taken over the Hidden Rain Village, verifying Nagato's survival, and determining whether he was truly the one foretold by prophecy.

Now, there was no need to fight to the death.

He bit his finger and quickly formed hand seals, summoning a small messenger toad.

Seeing this, Kisame and the others immediately realized his intent to escape. Their casual demeanor vanished as they rushed toward him.

"You're not getting away!"

Even Nagato, who had assumed Jiraiya was trapped, now recognized that he had a way out.

Jiraiya's hand moved swiftly, pressing against the toad's back.

"Go!"

The messenger toad was launched into the air, its body twisting mid-flight as it croaked, "Jiraiya! Hurry!"

Jiraiya wasted no time. The moment the toad established a link, it connected to another messenger toad—one stationed near Sakiya.

Sakiya, who had been watching everything unfold, canceled her holographic projection. She adjusted her stance, eyes narrowing as she prepared for what came next.

But in that instant—

Nagato moved.

With a flick of his wrist, he used his power to pull Jiraiya's summoned toad toward him. At the same time, he hurled two black rods straight at Jiraiya's back.

Jiraiya, facing Kisame and the others, didn't see them coming.

"Jiraiya! Behind you!" the toad croaked in desperation.

Jiraiya turned, eyes widening—

Too late.

One rod struck his raised hand, but the second pierced straight through his chest. Blood splattered onto the wet rooftop.

He staggered, coughing up blood—

And then he smiled.

Bang!

His body vanished in a puff of smoke.

A shadow flickered in the distance.

The large battle toad he had summoned also disappeared, returning to Mount Myoboku.

Nagato didn't hesitate. He lifted his head slightly, sensing the location of the black rod embedded in Jiraiya moments before.

They didn't get far.

Nagato's body floated effortlessly into the sky, his eyes locked on the distant shoreline.

"They're at the border!"

Konan took flight immediately, her paper wings unfurling as she followed.

The others exchanged glances—then, without hesitation, they pursued.

----

A few seconds earlier…

Jiraiya was transported by the summoning toad, appearing instantly beside Sakiya.

A black rod was embedded in his hand and chest, blood dripping onto the wet ground.

Sakiya quickly moved her small umbrella over him.

"Are you okay?"

Jiraiya coughed twice, wincing.

"Ahem—still alive, somehow."

Gritting his teeth, he yanked the black rod out, letting out a sharp breath before channeling chakra to slow the bleeding.

He glanced back toward the Hidden Rain Village and sighed. Then, looking at Sakiya's calm expression, he gave a tired smile.

"I managed to gather most of the information I needed. Unfortunately, I couldn't find where Akatsuki is keeping the tailed beasts."

"Is that so?"

Sakiya wasn't looking at him—her eyes remained fixed on the horizon, toward the village.

"Someone's flying this way."

Jiraiya's eyes widened. "Flying?" He turned to look but saw nothing.

Sakiya's gaze didn't waver. "Yes. He's coming fast. And he has special eyes… though just a lesser version. The Rinnegan."

Jiraiya tensed, his expression growing serious. "You can sense that?"

Sakiya nodded casually. "Of course. Want me to take care of them?"

She lifted her hand, forming a playful scissor gesture beside her blindfold. "I could just open my eyes and end it. One moment, and they'll be staring death in the face."

Jiraiya sighed. He didn't have the energy to argue with her theatrics, so he focused on the real problem—how to deal with the approaching enemies.

Then, an idea struck him.

"What about that technique of yours? The one that can be used instantly?" He looked at her, eyes sharp. "If you can sense their position, you should be able to strike before they get too close."

Sakiya paused, considering.

Jiraiya added, "Just be careful. Try not to hit civilians. Aim for a spot as far from the village as possible."

Sakiya smirked slightly.

"Hmm… from this distance?"

She tilted her head, then shrugged.

"Sounds fun."

Sakiya nodded firmly.

"Got it."

She reached for her blindfold, pulling it off.

The moment she did, her left eye glowed a deep red, while her right eye shone an icy blue.

A massive energy circle formed beneath her feet, another one appearing in the air behind her. The two colors swirled around her, radiating a brilliance that bathed the ocean in red and blue light. The sea below churned violently, the water pressing outward as if repelled by an invisible force.

Sakiya hovered just above the surface, the sheer energy warping the space around her. A crater formed in the ocean beneath her feet.

Jiraiya could only stare, stunned.

The sheer force of her power sent shivers down his spine—it felt wilder than even the tailed beast chakra he had sensed before. Stronger than when Naruto had unleashed the Nine-Tails' power in battle.

Then, Sakiya raised her hand. Energy swirled at her fingertips, gathering rapidly as she spoke in an eerie, detached tone:

"Shake, world!

Collapse under the weight of a wish touching the origin!

A cataclysmic blaze to burn all to ash! This is the ultimate attack!"

A sphere of blinding light formed in her palm—like a miniature sun, radiating an unbearable heat. The glow was so intense that Jiraiya had to shield his eyes, yet he could feel the overwhelming energy pulsating from it.

The sphere grew larger. Then larger still. It swelled to many times Sakiya's size, crackling with unstable energy.

---

Nagato, still soaring through the air in pursuit of Jiraiya, suddenly halted mid-flight.

He stared ahead, eyes wide.

"What… is that?"

Konan caught up to him, followed by the rest of Akatsuki. They all stopped in their tracks, sensing the immense chakra.

Everyone instinctively tensed.

Sakiya, now finished with her incantation, pointed her small hand toward the approaching Akatsuki members.

"Take this—World-Ending Fireball!"

Magic circles stacked in front of her in rapid succession.

Then—

BOOM.

A shockwave erupted as the sphere shot forward, accelerating like an arrow loosed from a bow. The sheer force split the ocean surface, carving a trench in its wake.

Nagato and the others had no time to react. The moment they felt the oncoming blast, a single, chilling thought crossed their mind.

[Warning. Warning. Incoming catastrophic impact detected.]
