After Chihiro finished her demonstration, she turned to Sakiya with a smug look.
"Well, Sakiya? What do you think?"
Sakiya gave her a thumbs up, tilting her chin up slightly.
"Not bad! I knew I could trust you with my technique, but I didn't expect you to master it so quickly!"
Chihiro casually rewound the steel wire and slid her blade back into its sheath. "It works well, but there's a drawback. The special steel wire wears out fast and can't handle too many slashes."
Sakiya nodded, her expression turning serious. "You've got a point. In that case, let me show you the advanced version—Invisible Blade Cut!"
She stretched out both hands, fingers spread wide like claws.
Then, she crouched slightly, mimicking the posture of a small predator preparing to pounce.
"Behold! One of my supreme secret techniques—Divine Thread of the Shattered Mind!"
As she spoke, each of her fingers began to glow, a different chakra nature sparking to life—fire, water, wind, earth, and lightning.
Sakiya's eyes sharpened.
"Dance of the Five-Element Silk!"
She swiped her hands through the air.
At first, it looked like she was just waving her fingers like a playful cat.
But then—
From her fingertips, five-colored chakra threads shot forward, weaving through the air like razor-sharp strands of silk. The threads danced, crisscrossing into an intricate web of pure cutting energy.
Chihiro and Sakuragi stood frozen, watching as the shimmering chakra lines carved the air itself.
And then, with a swift downward slash, Sakiya brought her hands down.
The web of threads followed instantly, slicing into the ground.
The moment they touched, each chakra type reacted differently—some burned, some crackled with electricity, others tore through the dirt like invisible blades.
But one thing remained the same.
All of them cut deep.
The ground beneath them was instantly shredded into countless small stone tiles, which burst upward from the sheer force of the attack.
Chihiro and the others stood slack-jawed, completely stunned.
"Amazing…" Chihiro muttered.
Sakiya proudly retracted the chakra threads, puffing out her chest with a smug grin.
"Hmph~ You've got a long way to go before you catch up to me. Not that you ever will."
Seeing her smug expression, Chihiro couldn't help but laugh and rush over—ruffling Sakiya's hair despite her protests.
As soon as Sakiya's head was touched, her smug expression disappeared in an instant.
"Hey! Don't touch my head, you idiot!" she snapped, glaring at Chihiro.
Chihiro quickly pulled her hand back, looking a little annoyed. But a second later, she held out a lollipop as a peace offering.
Sakiya snatched it up without hesitation—then suddenly paused, realizing something. She narrowed her eyes at Chihiro.
"Wait a minute… weren't there supposed to be three?"
Chihiro put on her best pitiful expression.
"But… I only touched it once…"
Sakiya glanced down at the single lollipop in her hand. For a brief moment, regret flashed across her face. But there was no way she'd let Chihiro touch her head again!
Absolutely not.
…Well, maybe next time. But only if Chihiro was really nice about it.
Still, she huffed and shot Chihiro a fierce look.
"Hmph! You can't just touch my head whenever you want!"
Chihiro kept up her innocent act, nodding in mock defeat.
Ignoring her, Sakiya turned toward Tsuchiya with a sharp look.
"Alright, you're up next, Great Dimensional Traveler!"
Tsuchiya immediately snapped to attention.
"Yes!" he responded with enthusiasm.
His eyes lit up as he positioned his hands together near his waist, then slowly pulled them apart.
"Humanity's ultimate attack magic… Final Burst of Destruction!"
As he spoke, a faint glow began to form between his palms.
Sakiya watched as Tsuchiya struck a dramatic stance, almost identical to a certain spiky-haired anime protagonist she'd seen before. The resemblance was uncanny—down to the posture, the glowing energy, and even his slightly messy hair.
She squinted at him, her expression turning skeptical.
Finally, Tsuchiya let out a powerful shout:
"EX Deep Break!!"
In an instant, almost all of his chakra condensed into the growing sphere of light in his hands.
Then—BOOM.
A blinding explosion erupted as a fireball, like a miniature sun, shot forward at incredible speed.
The attack slammed into its target with devastating force.
A massive explosion followed, sending flames surging into the sky, a shockwave ripping through the air.
A small mushroom cloud rose in its wake.
The impact was so intense that Chihiro had to throw up an earth-style barrier just to protect them from the blast.
Even so, the barrier barely held before shattering under the force.
Fortunately, it did its job. The three of them stood safely behind the crumbling remains of the wall, their hair slightly ruffled by the residual wind and dust.
They slowly turned their gaze toward the battlefield.
In front of them was a newly formed, massive crater.
Chihiro stared at it, speechless. "That… was ridiculously strong."
Sakiya, still grinning, nodded in approval. "Didn't expect that from you, Great Dimensional Traveler! That was pretty Unexpected!"
Tsuchiya, now collapsed on the ground, let out a satisfied sigh—until he heard Sakiya's last words.
His eye twitched.
"Unexpected?!"
Sakiya tilted her head, blinking at the sight of Tsuchiya lying collapsed on the ground.
"Well~ the Great Dimensional Traveler did pretty well," she mused. "But I should probably show you the advanced version."
Hearing that, Chihiro and the others immediately froze.
They all had the same thought—"That" technique?!
If she demonstrated it here… Wouldn't Konoha just vanish in the explosion?
Panic set in.
"NO! Don't show it!"
"Please, Yaxin! Don't!"
Chihiro even went as far as pulling Sakiya into a tight hug, shaking her slightly.
"Yaxin~ you little menace~ that technique isn't something you just show off whenever you feel like it!"
Sakiya struggled against her grip, finally managing to push Chihiro away with her small hands.
"Hah… fine, fine!" She sighed dramatically. "If you don't want to see it, then that's your loss! You're missing out on my advanced lesson!"
Tsuchiya swallowed hard.
"I feel like that loss might include Konoha itself…" he muttered under his breath.
Sakiya ignored him and turned to Sakuragi instead.
"Alright, then it's your turn!"
Sakuragi scratched his head, looking a little embarrassed.
"Uh, well… I've only managed to grasp the basics so far."
He picked up a coil of steel wire, flicking it skillfully with his fingers.
"I've been working on this technique."
With a few quick movements, he began weaving a simple wire trap around himself. Within seconds, the setup was complete.
"This is what I've mastered so far," he explained. "Just the basics of chakra thread manipulation."
After finishing, Sakuragi rubbed the back of his head awkwardly.
Sakiya stared at him for a moment, then sighed. "So, basically, your results… aren't really combat-ready yet."
Sakuragi let out a nervous chuckle, but deep down, her words stung.
I really don't have any talent, huh…
But before that thought could settle in, Sakiya shook her head and spoke firmly.
"No. Your efforts haven't been wasted at all."
Sakuragi blinked, startled by her serious tone.
"You've actually improved a lot," she continued. "In fact, in some ways, I think you're doing better than the others."
His eyes widened slightly. "Wait… really?"
Sakiya nodded.
"Controlling chakra threads to manipulate steel wire isn't easy—it takes incredible precision. The fact that you've already started refining this technique proves your skill."
"For you, this technique is an entirely new challenge. It's not something you can just copy from someone else. But even so, you've managed to get this far in just a few days."
She placed her small hands on his shoulders, her gaze steady.
"You had the hardest starting point out of all of us. And yet, you're already learning to snap and manipulate chakra threads. That proves you do have talent. Hard work always pays off."
Sakuragi felt a warmth spread in his chest.
"...Maybe I'm not as hopeless as I thought."
Tsuchiya suddenly walked up and gave him a hard slap on the shoulder.
"Don't sell yourself short," he said with a grin. "You've always been strong. You work harder than anyone, and that's what matters."
Sakuragi smirked, shoving him back lightly.
"Man, hearing you say something like that feels kinda weird."
Tsuchiya laughed. "Well, get used to it. I'll be cheering you on more from now on!"
And just like that, another day of training came to an end.
But tomorrow, Sakiya would be heading off with Tsunade to the Five Kage Summit.
With Jiraiya's intelligence in hand, Tsunade had a real shot at claiming command of the entire Allied Shinobi Forces.
A major battle was on the horizon.
