When the potion effects died down, Brown's speed decreased, throwing off his balance as he stumbled forward. White bone dust wrapped around his body, mixing with his hair, clothes, and everywhere.
Max also stopped running and simply walked towards him, slowly one step at a time. His eyes were cold and filled with ruthlessness, looking directly at Brown.
He tried to stand up, but once again stumbled. Brown looked back at Max, especially into his eyes. How could he not recognise those murderous eyes?
Fear gripped his heart as he tried to move forward towards the entrance. If only he reached there in time, he could finally escape from here.
