Warm rays of the morning sun filtered into the room, illuminating the previously dark interior. It was the break of dawn, a period when the birds were singing and alarms were blaring.
Lying in the room was a boy with pitch black hair and a slender figure that now had some well defined muscles.
The boy lay unmoving for a few minutes and then his fingers twitched, right before his eyes opened, revealing his sharp golden pupils.
Ark stared up at the ceiling for some time, his mind foggy and then everything came to him at once.
He could no longer feel the headache and that crippling thirst was finally gone.
"What happened?"
He sat up straight and placed his hand on his face. He could remember that he left his room and went into the kitchen but after that, everything else became a haze.
He was about to leave the bed when he noticed movement in the corner of his eye. He was not alone…
