Faye was huddled underneath her bed, her breathing subdued and her heart racing in her chest as she stared at the door in front of her.
The shooting had settled down a few minutes ago, after which the screams of those indoors could be heard, worsening their state of mind.
Finally, everything had settled, there were no screams, no loud noises and no gunshots. But Faye knew they were far from safe after all, the goblins were in the house.
They waited, prayed and hoped that a savior would somehow appear, and after some time it seemed that their prayers had finally been answered.
Because the door handle twitched slightly.

Ark peeked through the stairs at the third floor and returned looking slightly confused. He took another peek and returned still looking confused.
Kiera's cocked her head slightly.
"What is the problem?"
Ark stared at her, bringing his hand to his chin as he considered the situation.
"It's empty."
