Rain.
It was raining again in the manmade city, DisCity, the last location for all of mankind, away from the mania.
In the center of the city, a large riverbed that was once full of life, was now filled with garbage and monsters.
It is known as the rust, infamous for the smell of rusted metals, and the smell of blood. If you get close to the boarders, you can hear the howlers of corruptors and the sound of object being moved around.
This area has the highest concentration of mania, only few can enter the area, for they are resistant.
But the numbers of people who enter are few, they are scavengers who are either desperate, or foolish to enter the rust.
If they are lucky, they can either find something of value, that'd be an object, or an item on a corps. Those that are unlucky, are forever part of the pile of the garbage and corpses.
To the west of the city, is the Syndicate. The unlucky many who are born or are currently living there are either in a gang or barely scraping by with very little life left.
The district is constantly in battle, multiple gangs fight with one another, many deaths occur at a daily basis, and the weak are crushed before the strong.
Many families are abandoned, children left to fend for themselves, and even the crippled are forgotten.
The only way to escape the hellish battlefield, is across the rust, one needed connections to find a job, and a home to stay in.
To the east, is the famous district Eastside. Where people would thrive with ease, no worries from the dangers of the syndicate, no worries about mania, and definitely no worries about…
Sinners.
However, on this night, the sound of an explosion could be heard in the city, where the explosion came from, was in Eastside.
Causing the people to panic at the sight, what was bad, soon became worsen, as the sound of an alarm blared through the streets.
"Warning, Warning, M-value is increasing, all citizens, please remain calm, please remain calm. Calmly enter your homes, or head to the nearest shelter and stay inside."
As the automaton voice rang through the streets, the people began to run. While othered were unlucky, a red miasma began to flow through the streets, covering them only for a second.
Soon, the sound of pained screams and snapping of bones were heard, their bodies began to break from the increase in strength. While others began to mutate into something else.
Some bodies began to twist and turn, while others grew spikes, some began to sprout new limbs.
And the truly unlucky few began to laugh, some clawed at their face, denying what they are becoming, others began to release their hidden anger, their sadness, even their joy.
Those that were touched by the mania began to rush towards the innocents, stabbing and slaughtering.
The old, the young, the sick, and the healthy weren't spared. For these creatures, all relished the power they have gained.
"Hahahaha, are you happy mom?! I'm finally achieving my dream!" Shouted a woman, who was repeatedly stabbing a corps.
"Fuck you, you cheating whore, I should have left you to die in the syndicate, where those other whores live!" Shouted a man, who was grinning.
Choking a woman who tried to remove his hands, only for a snap to be heard. Her arms dropping to her sides with no life.
Soon, multiple militarized vehicles soon arrived, all with automated cannons that fired towards the corrupted.
Multiple solders poured out of the vehicles, taking aim and firing at each corrupted, while at the same time, they began to subdue those who began to lose their sanity.
"This group Alpha, a swarm of corruptors are heading towards east, send a squad to intercept them!" Shouted a captain.
"Sir, we have sinners rushing towards us, three hundred meters and closing!" Shouted a solder.
Nearby, a group of solders with shields all stood side to side, blocking the path of the corrupters.
"We need reinforcements, their tearing through us like paper!" The wall of solders was slowly being pushed back, while the arms began to force themselves passed the shields.
"Where's the chief?! We can't hold on for much longer!" A few corruptors soon pushed passed the walls, scrambling to one of the riflemen.
"Go, push them back, nightmare." An empty voice spoke, knocking the few corruptors back over the shield line.
What came behind the wall was a girl, wearing a lab coat with grey blue hair, and a black ribbon wrapped around her arm, neck, and half of her face.
She wore thigh high boots for travel, and in her hand was a sketchbook. Finally, besides the black ribbon, a dream catcher was wrapped around her neck.
"Damnit Hecate, I told you to leave some of the corrupted bastards for me to smash their skulls in!" Another girl shouted, she held the collar of the lab coat, shaking Hecate.
The girl had grey, pink hair, with a white dress that dropped to her knees. On her head, she wore a beanie with the same color as her hair.
Her shoes were black dress shoes, and on top of her dress was a grey jacket that covered her dress. In her hands was a metal water pipe.
"But they were close to chief, I couldn't let them close." Hecate replied, causing the girl to growl and hold her hair in anger.
"Just let them get close, I want to smash some heads in! I'm already bored while staying at the MBCC, is it a crime for me to have some fun!?" She then calmed down when a hand was placed on top of her.
"You'll have some fun when the next wave of corruptors passes through the defense line, Hella." Spoke a calm voice, only to have their hands smacked away.
"I don't want to wait, I want to bash their skulls in!" Whined the now named Hella, who raised her arms and shook them in annoyance, while also pouting.
As if tempted by fate, a few more corruptors passed through the defensive line, all rushing towards the three figures.
"Well, your wish was granted." Sighed the person, Hella then cheered in excitement and rushed towards the first one.
The corruptor had their hands raised and tried to strike her with their claws, only for Hella to narrowly miss getting struck, the claw cutting her cheek in the process.
"Oh, you fucking cocksucker, I'll kill you!" Hella screamed and bashed the corruptors head in with the metal water pipe.
Three more corruptors then rushed towards her, all with their claws raised, snarling. Hella then turned to face them and ran towards them with her own battle cry and ran towards them with no hesitation.
As soon as she arrived at the first corruptor, she smacked the claw away from her and took the chance to use the other end of the pipe to strike them in the chest.
As the corruptor staggered back, Hella rushed up and began to use it like a stepping stool and jumped up. As she fell down, she had the pipe raised and slammed it onto the head like the last one.
"Fuck yeah, come on, who's next?!" The remaining two corruptors then ran towards her, causing Hella to widen her eyes in panic.
"whu-oh, didn't expect to deal with two of you, what will little ol' me do?" She pretended to act vulnerable with tears forming in her face.
As soon as the corruptor arrived in front of her, Hella smiled and ducked down, her pipe already reeled back and swung it towards the leg.
A crack was heard, the leg of the corruptor was now facing in the wrong direction, causing the corruptor to scream in pain, another crack was soon followed, as Hella struck once more on one of its arms.
"Yeah, take that you ugly bitches!" She shouted with a smile, laughing as she bashed it on the chest.
The third corruptor that passed the defense line was about to attack Hella from behind, only for a black like substance to strike it from the side.
Causing it to clutch its head in pain, while its blood, no longer red, began to drip from its eyes and ears.
More of the black like substance struck its body, pushing it back and its screams began to grow louder.
It soon stopped screaming when a pipe struck it from behind, its head detaching from its body.
Flying through the air, passed the defense line. Helen cheered at the hit she did and jumped up and down.
"Fuck yeah, that's a home run!" Only to stop when she saw the chief and Hecate look at her.
"Uh, I mean, take that you ugly flesh bags!" She tried to act nonchalant and crossed her arms.
"At least you had some fun." The chief spoke with a smile, making their way to the defense line.
"Chief, please stay back, just deal with the corruptors that pass through." One of the solder grunted, tilting their head back to avoid a claw that tried to scratch their face.
"It's fine, please part to the side to let us through." Said the chief, the guards that stood in front of them only hesitated, but then relented, moving to the side to allow more corruptors through.
Hecate then raised her hand, lightly thrusting it forward. Her shadow then flickered for only a second, and a large creature floated above her.
Its upper body was like a human, only that it s body was thin, exposing every bone in its body, every joint, to the very tip of its ribs.
Its eyes were covered by its flesh, and its jaw was open to an impossible degree, only to show one large purple eye.
"Send them away, nightmare." It's eye began to glow, and a ball made of black and purple began to form in front of it, followed by a high pitch scream.
As soon as its pupil shrunk, the ball turned into a beam, flying towards the opening that the solder made.
The corruptors that were about to pass through were all caught in the beam, their figures slowly turning to dust as they began tried to push through.
"Damn, no matter how many times I see this, that's still creepy." Hecate shivered, holding her arms.
Soon, the three of them began to pass through the defensive line, while the sound of creams and laughter were heard.
"Chief, what are your orders?" Hecate asked, while Hella walked next to her, tapping her metal pipe on her shoulders.
The chief themselves stood behind the two, their body covered in a light grey trench coat with grey pants, and with a long sleeved black dress shirt, with black dress shoes.
Their hair was a mix of grey and blue, the front parted like curtains, while the back reached their neck.
"Wipe them out." Was all the chief said, and red streaks of chains ran along their hands, and two red chains appeared on both of their necks.
"Roger." Both spoke in unison, Hela was the first to run, gripping the pipe tightly and snaking any corruptors that crossed her path.
Hecate on the other hand, wove her hand. Sending the miasma over and over again at each corruptor, causing them to slam their heads on the ground, killing themselves.
While others were knocked away by nightmare, preventing any of them getting close to the chief.
As the three made their way deeper into the hell that was made by the mania, the ground began to shake.
Causing the three of of them to stumble, and stare at the ground. Cracks began to form along the ground, all leading towards what is in front of them.
Only to widen their eyes at who was standing before them.
"It's good to see you again, chief." Spoke a soothing voice, in front of them, was a woman.
Her hair was pale white, her skin just as pale. She wore a black trench coat that covered her upper body, with a white dress shirt, underneath.
She wore dress pants and what looked like a corset around her waist. On her hands where fingerless gloves that traveled up to her elbow.
"Suspect R, why are you here?" The chief asked, their eyes narrowed and taking a step back.
"No need to panic, well, not yet at least." She answered vaguely.
"That's still not answering my question." The chief took a step forward, the two sinners stepped in front of them in a protective manner.
"Well, let's just say I was offered a deal that is… interesting to say the least." Her lips shifted slightly upwards, and a soon, the ground behind her broke.
What should have been mania and corruptors, was something else, black like rocks began to appear behind her.
All spreading to the buildings, and monsters with black skin with a sphere for a head began to rush towards us.
"What the fuck?! I've never seen anything like this!" Hella shouted first, swinging her pipe at the nearest creature.
Only for the creature to block her attack and push her back. Seeing this, the solders began to rush forward, blocking the new creatures from getting closer.
"Chief, we need to ret-!" Before the solder could say anything more, the sound of gunfire was heard.
The spheres that the creatures have broke, and they all began to disintegrate. Seeing this, everyone turned to face the person.
It was a woman with short platinum blond hair, with a grey trench coat similar to chiefs, only the inside to be purple.
She wore thigh high heels and a pencil skirt, with the left side open, her hands were covered with shoulder length leather gloves, and a grey fidora on top of her head.
In her right hand, was a pistol that had an extended barrel, while in her left hand, was a cane, using it to walk.
"All gunners, aim for the spheres." Spoke the woman with authority, causing all the riflemen to do so.
"Langley, it seems you decided to appear." The chief spoke out of respect, since she is his superior.
"Rookie, seems you've encountered this lady before, can you handle it?" She asked, her pale blue eyes staring at chiefs grey eyes.
"Sorry to interrupt, but I'll be taking him with me." Suspect R spoke up, standing in front of them.
Before anyone could react, she grabbed Chiefs hand and jumped towards the black rocks, causing everyone to panic.
"Chief!" Both Hella and Hecate tried to reach out, even nightmare tried to grab them.
"Rookie!" Langley raised her pistol and fired a few shots, only for them to hit her on the arms.
However, suspect R didn't flinch, she continued to drag the chief closer to the rocks, only for a black portal to appear.
"Try to catch me, if you can, Eros." Was the only thing that the woman said, before pushing the now named Eros inside.
As Eros was about to enter, the surrounding mania began to surround him, encasing him in one large mania crystal.
'No worries my dear chief, I'll be by your side in your new adventure!' Shouted a female voice.
'Wait, isn't that…' Before he could finish his thought, he soon passed out from the mania crystal. His figure disappearing into the portal.
[Hehe, the story starts now! Sorry, but I'll be taking over the notes, since the boring author here will just ask for stupid rocks, boo! So, wondering how this story will go? Well to bad, you'll just have to wait and see, bye-bye!]
