The rays of sunlight announced the beginning of a new day. Fredrick woke up as soon as the light seeped through his windows. He rushed into the small washroom provided and washed his face in a rush.
He came back into the room and wore his armor. He picked up his sword and hung it on his waist before leaving the room and heading outside.
He stepped outside, looking at the forest in the distance. After a few minutes, Robert also rushed out. He bowed to the Baron as soon as he saw him.
"Baron Fredrick, you are up already?" Robert asked.
"I said we move at dawn. Where are the men?" Fredrick asked.
"Out back, getting ready with the horses. I'll go and get yours as well," Robert said and rushed off. He ran into the stable and brought the Baron's horse with the saddle already set.
Fredrick got on the horse and waited close to the gate. Soon, fifty men on horses came riding. They all stopped behind him.
Fredrick glanced back and noticed Andrew riding in front.
