Gorin jumped into the air and slashed down with his sword, but the golem easily took the attack, leaving only a few centimeters deep cut on it. The golem grabbed Gorin and hurled him at a tree. He broke through the tree and rolled for a few meters.
The beating was finally getting to Gorin. He found it difficult to get to his feet, but the golem was already set to defeat him. There was no mercy or wasting of time—the golem charged in again.
Gorin struggled to his feet. He dragged his sword, about to continue the fight, but then he saw the bird in the sky—the same bird that had led them. The bird let out a cry.
Gorin had a reluctant look on his face, but regardless, he stomped his foot on the ground, causing a massive wall of earth to rise between him and the golem. He then turned and ran deeper into the forest.
