Dan and Axel exchanged excited looks. Nothing too much but enough to show that they were sort of surprised and as well excited with what was in front of them.
Royal cloak inhaled and exhaling he stood very closely beside the space ship.
"One last thing to note before embarking on your journey," he said, his voice more soft than usual.
The superheroes all looked at him, too intent even he had to look away a bit.
"It's about the monsters," he began. "They've got ranks and as their ranks differ so do their combat levels."
Axel was more focused now, ready to grasp into his brain, whatever he was about to say.
Royal cloak turned back and clapping his hands the place became dimly lit. A screen appeared in the middle of the room, carrying a sort of aura to it.
Royal cloak just watched at and very quickly, words appeared on the screen.
Axel squinted his eyes as he read them, together with everyone. Royal cloak was just very focused. Looking at the screen more precisely.
Monseryan monster profile:
1. Monseryan Whelps (Lowest Rank)
The most common and weakest of monsters, often smaller and lacking intelligence. They are easy to dispatch individually but can overwhelm in large numbers.
2. Catchylm (Second Rank)
Elite, formidable monsters with unique powers and strength. These creatures are often leaders within their species, feared by lesser monsters. They are tough and often highly intelligent, making them dangerous adversaries.
3. Voidborn (Third Rank)
Born from the Void, these are terrifying entities imbued with dark, otherworldly powers. They are incredibly strong, can manipulate shadows or dark matter, and possess near-immortal resilience. Voidborn monsters can reshape environments and bring chaos to entire regions.
4. Abyssalyt (Highest Rank)
The ultimate monstrous beings, born from the Abyss. Titans are cataclysmic forces capable of world-shattering destruction. They are ancient, near-immortal, and have vast control over the fabric of reality itself. Abyssalyt are often worshiped or feared as gods by lesser creatures.]
Axel shook his head forward now. Like he had understood about their ranks. He looked at others, they were immersed with what was on the screen.
Royal cloak clapped his hands and everything became normal. The lighting was as it was before and screen was no longer there.
Royal cloak turned to face them.
"That was what we could bring of their profiles. Just what they are, their classification."
He paused and seeming like he was tired of talking, continued nonetheless:
"This was made by our artificial intelligence who studied the resources we brought to them and gave us this. But it is accurate by the way."
Spinal edge raised up his hands.
Royal cloak waved at her to speak.
"Go on."
She said, "But how do we identity them."
Royal cloak and Axel exchanged glances and Axel tried to suppress his laughter which was quite insurmountable at this point. But he held it in though, doing so by looking the ceiling and avoiding eye contact with Royal cloak who faced Spinal edge now.
"That's where I was about to go to."
Silence…
Royal cloak exhaled and brought out six tiny devices from his pocket. They were round and circular, looking like a soccer ball, only that it was twenty times more smaller but at least visible to the normal human eyes.
It was more of the size of a beetle.
Royal cloak threw each of them, one at a time, to the people facing him.
They caught it and looked at him with expressions that said:
'What do we do with it now?'
Royal cloak had them covered.
"Place to them by the side if your stomach," he said.
They complied and did as he said, placing them by the side of their stomachs.
It quickly stuck there, like some magnet. Mirrormeld even tried to remove hers but she couldn't.
Royal cloak said, "They'll be taken off once you're done with the mission." He stroked his beardless chin, the place suddenly becoming sombre- only to him.
"You're embarking on a quite dangerous journey. You 'ALL' are going on a mission that will save the words. Now, I'll give you some tips, survival tips actually."
They all listened attentively, Axel sense that this would be the last piece of advise he would be giving them.
"Be keen on your survival instincts. Try as much as you can to survive. Be strategic in battle, y'all should have a plan when fighting. And as well, work together, no one should try and be heroic here, we're not awarding you guys individually, we're rewarding you collectively, as team!"
"Yes sir!" They all affirmed in unison.
"And lastly," Royal cloak said, his voice dropping to something more cold, like this was going to be his final words. "Your aim is not to defeat them, it's not to win against them. So, I'm begging you all, don't start a fight. Don't even let them see you, blend in. They reside more in a central place. But well, their are many places in Monsyeran. It's a large realm. Think of it as an entire country, perhaps the sixteenth largest country on earth. So you have places to explore. Be strategic, don't go at once. Let your brains work here. You have Dan, he's experienced, let him be the leader on this mission.
"Note, once there, I can't communicate with you again. And this jet stuff. We could have sent you there though a portal but you'll have nothing to eat or water to drink or how to survive. So in there is a vast majority of food, snacks and enough water to last you all two weeks. But I'm sure you'll be done by then."
Royal cloak steeped aside and watched them enter into the realm plunger. Royal cloak winked at Axel when he was seated in his seat now, Axel smiling and winking back from the window.
"GOOD LUCK!" Were the last words they heard from Royal cloak.
The engines of the realm plunger blasted very loudly, it noise reaching the ceiling. Them it hummed with a seamless sound.
Axel saw a bright light and…
Then…
The realm plunger moved just a bit.
That was enough, enough to plunge them into darkness, into oblivion.
