They all looked at Chrysa, who remained indifferent but was almost shocked by the way they stared at her, like she had just announced the end of the world.
"Where do you think will be more safe?" Axel asked.
Chrysa shrugged.
"I don't know," she said. "That's why you guys come in—we decide together."
They all exchanged puzzled looks, not knowing exactly where to pick.
Chrysa sighed and said:
"They've set a particular date. And don't ask me how I know. But from what I've researched, it seems that they are waiting for something that'll activate the portal."
Axel stared at her more intently now, cogitating on many possibilities. If this was true, then his assumption of them activating the portal in the sky would be true.
But what were they waiting for?
Chrysa seemed to be reading his thoughts.
