After spending half a day absorbing the hundred-thousand-year Golden Crocodile Dragon left leg bone, Dugu Yan successfully reached the bottleneck at level eighty.
"Alright, Yanzi. Now we just need to wait for Grandpa and my two masters to arrive. Then we can head to the Great Star Dou Forest to hunt for soul rings."
At this point, Li Luochen skillfully changed the subject, as he noticed that Dugu Yan's eyes still held a dangerous glint even after finishing her absorption.
"Hmph! Don't think this is over… What are you doing? Why are you taking off your clothes?"
"Let's go!"
Li Luochen picked up Dugu Yan and carried her into the room. Soon after, only the passionate moans of a woman could be heard.
Li Luochen decided to stick with his tried-and-true method—filling Dugu Yan completely. This time, his cultivation had surpassed hers, and with the divine-level Golden Dragon torso bone enhancing him, he wouldn't tire at all.
Any thoughts Dugu Yan had of overpowering Li Luochen were just wishful thinking.
A day later, Li Luochen emerged refreshed, while Dugu Yan… had passed out.
"Yanzi really knows how to play. Xue'er's body isn't strong enough—I was afraid I'd break her bones. But Yanzi can definitely take it."
Li Luochen wished he could light up a cigarette afterward, feeling like a god. Unfortunately, there were no cigarettes on the Douluo Continent. Smoking was harmful to health—but then again, he was a spirit master, so his physical condition was different.
Li Luochen also realized that Dugu Yan, having absorbed another hundred-thousand-year spirit bone, had become quite fierce. However, he was no longer the same Li Luochen as before. His body had been tempered by the Golden Dragon torso bone, and he now considered himself akin to a humanoid dragon.
He didn't feel tired at all. Understanding the nature of dragons, Li Luochen couldn't help but admire them. No wonder there were legends of the nine dragon sons—they were incredibly powerful. Truly formidable!
Li Luochen left the room after tucking Dugu Yan in with a blanket. The day had been intense, and Dugu Yan had fainted from exhaustion. It was inevitable, given how her sharp tongue had kept provoking him earlier, causing Li Luochen to unleash his full strength.
Dugu Yan had even activated her dragon transformation, intending to fight Li Luochen to the death. However, she discovered that Li Luochen's ability to channel the power of his torso bone completely suppressed her dragon form, leaving her perpetually on the defensive.
Thus, Dugu Yan remained unconscious, utterly exhausted.
Li Luochen got dressed and stepped outside. His strength had now reached the bottleneck at level eighty, and he had accumulated a significant reserve of spirit power. He believed that after obtaining his eighth soul ring, he could advance a few more levels.
Li Luochen released his soul rings: four black, one red, one black-red, and one red—a total of seven soul rings. He felt quite satisfied with their configuration. After acquiring his eighth soul ring, his sixth soul ring would evolve to the hundred-thousand-year tier.
Currently, the age of his sixth soul ring had already exceeded ninety thousand. Once he broke through the bottleneck, it would advance to a hundred-thousand-year soul ring.
Moreover, the power of Li Luochen's soul skills had significantly increased. For example, his first spirit skill, Godspeed, originally increased speed by 100%, with an additional 1% increase per level. Now, it boosted speed by 300%, and with his current level, the skill increased speed by 380%. Additionally, his strength was enhanced by 150%.
The potency of his second and third spirit skills had also greatly improved. Furthermore, Li Luochen had developed a new attack method inspired by a Soul Douluo named Liu Nitian.
Li Luochen had also mastered the "Ring Fusion" technique, though his version differed from others. He could only fuse two soul rings, and they had to be below the hundred-thousand-year level—it was difficult to fuse hundred-thousand-year soul rings. Even so, the enhancement from fusing two rings was substantial.
His second and third soul rings had both advanced to fifty-thousand-year levels, with only a few thousand years' difference between them—an insignificant gap that allowed for perfect fusion.
When Li Luochen fused water and fire, it didn't produce steam. Instead, it created a state where fire existed within water and water within fire, allowing both elements to coexist.
The resulting explosive strike was equivalent to at least an eighth-tier Soul Douluo skill. Li Luochen had long believed that the higher a spirit master's cultivation, the fewer soul skills they actually used.
For high-level spirit masters, the first four spirit skills were mostly useless except for overwhelming weaker opponents, unless they were amplification or special-type skills. In battles between Title Douluos, only ten-thousand-year spirit skills were typically employed.
Li Luochen was grateful for what seemed to be the Golden Dragon's gift, which had elevated all his soul rings to the ten-thousand-year tier. Since breaking through to Spirit King, he rarely used his second spirit skill, but now it was more than sufficient.
Li Luochen only lacked a right arm bone to complete his set of spirit bones: a hundred-thousand-year spirit-concentrating demon-breaking skull bone, a hundred-thousand-year Blue Silver Emperor right leg bone, a hundred-thousand-year Golden Light left leg bone, a divine-level Golden Dragon torso bone, and a ninety-thousand-year Dark Demon Evil God Tiger left arm bone (growth-type).
His final spirit bone would come from the Titan Giant Ape's right arm bone. According to the characteristics of hundred-thousand-year soul beasts, the spirit bone dropped upon their death would correspond to the part the soul master lacked, with no duplicates—a testament to the rarity of hundred-thousand-year soul beasts.
Li Luochen no longer needed to cultivate, and with his classmates on vacation, there wasn't much else to do. He decided to visit a few of his senior alumni, who were now teaching at Shrek Academy.
Excluding himself as an exception, Qin Ming had the highest cultivation among them, currently at level sixty-nine at thirty-four years old. Mo Yu was at level sixty-six at thirty-three.
Li Luochen thought their progress was commendable. Within five years, both would likely reach Soul Douluo level, and within fifteen years, they could become Title Douluos.
Take Qin Ming, for instance. His variant martial soul, the Blazing Flame Gray Wolf, was a top-tier beast-type martial soul due to its powerful flames. While it couldn't compare to the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon, it was still formidable enough.
After graduating, Qin Ming embarked on a journey and eventually met up with Mo Yu. Together, they traveled for several years, both advancing to Spirit King level. Thanks to Li Luochen's influence, their fifth soul rings were both ten-thousand-year level.
Later, they sought positions at a high-level spirit master academy. Flender recommended them to Liu Erlong's Blue Overlord Academy. Upon joining, they immediately became senior instructors due to their youth, strength, and the fact that the principal was their teacher's wife.
Even as teachers, they enjoyed abundant cultivation resources within the academy. Especially after Flender and Liu Erlong confirmed their relationship, Flender invested all his earnings into the academy.
The academy's simulated cultivation environment was exceptional, providing significant benefits even for high-level spirit masters.
This was one reason why Qin Ming and Mo Yu advanced so quickly. When they later reached bottlenecks, Flender, who was both the academy's principal and a Soul Douluo-level powerhouse, helped them hunt for soul rings.
Qin Ming's sixth soul ring was thirty-thousand-years old, while Mo Yu's was twenty-eight thousand. As senior alumni and now teachers, they had both consumed Whale Jelly, each at the fifty-thousand-year level.
The process of cleansing and strengthening their meridians through Whale Jelly significantly enhanced their spirit power circulation. Additionally, Dugu Bo, the honorary principal, recognized their talent as former Shrek Academy students.
He personally gathered rare herbs from the Ice Fire Yin Yang Well, refining them into pills for Qin Ming and Mo Yu to consume. This was another reason for their rapid cultivation progress.
Recently, Qin Ming had taken leave to undergo seclusion. Li Luochen suspected he was close to breaking through to level seventy. Alas, Mo Yu had once again been left behind by Qin Ming.
Mo Yu: "I'm used to it. Damn!"
