Planet Nexus
Xiao's Villa
Xiao sat in the spacious living room of his villa, a glass of wine in his hand, staring out into the vast expanse of the Nexus sky. The stars shone brightly, twinkling like diamonds scattered across a sea of darkness. Despite the serenity, a slight frown tugged at his lips. His mind, though calm, was filled with an unsettling thought.
'My background is ridiculous,' Xiao mused, his thoughts drifting back to his family, the Cardinal Royal Family.
Xiao wasn't just any ordinary young man. His bloodline was the pinnacle of human civilization, the very foundation of the entire Cosmic Human Civilization. His grandfather, the Cardinal Emperor, was a living legend. It was said that he alone united humanity, bringing peace and prosperity to all of the known galaxies. The Emperor wasn't just a ruler, he was a symbol of absolute power, the first awakened being, and the one who single-handedly dominated the Cosmic Starry Sky.
The Cardinal Emperor's power was beyond measure. He had achieved a level of cultivation and strength that far surpassed any other living being. In a universe filled with cultivation sects, powerful entities, and countless civilizations, the Cardinal Emperor was an anomaly. He was the first awakened, a title that held significent meaning for he was both feared and revered by all.
Xiao's mind flickered back to the vast wealth and the intricate power dynamics within his family. Despite his grandfather's overwhelming power, it was the Cardinal Royal Family's control over the empire that maintained the order and peace of the entire human civilization. The royal family consisted of only five members, and each one was a force to be reckoned with.
The Cardinal Emperor, Xiao's grandfather, was the patriarch of the family, a man whose existence shaped the very foundation of their civilization. Then, there were the three Cardinal Princesses—each one possessing unparalleled beauty and talent, their powers not to be underestimated. And then, there was Xiao himself, the Cardinal Prince, who was still growing into his own power, though his potential was already apparent.
"I'm the youngest, yet the one with the greatest potential," Xiao murmured to himself, staring at the empty glass in his hand. "But I have to be extremely careful not get schemed."
The Cardinal Royal Family's influence stretched across every corner of cosmic starry sky. The Imperial Navy, which stood as the military backbone of the Cosmic Human Civilization, answered directly to them. There was no one who dared challenge the family's authority. Their rule was absolute. But Xiao knew better than anyone that power came with responsibilities and dangers.
His thoughts turned to his sisters. Each of them was fiercely protective of him, yet each of them had a darkness lurking beneath their beautiful, innocent exteriors. They were devoted to their family, to their bloodline, but their loyalty to him, their Cardinal Prince, bordered on obsession. Xiao didn't mind, he had grown accustomed to it. In fact, he found their obsessive nature to be... appealing. There was something about the intensity of their affection that intrigued him, and as much as they were dangerous, he couldn't help but enjoy being the center of their world. His own attraction to their yandere-like personalities was something he had yet to fully understand, but it didn't bother him in the least. In a world where everything seemed so distant and impersonal, their obsession felt oddly comforting.
But the most daunting thought that always lingered in Xiao's mind was not his sisters' obsession with him, nor his grandfather's overwhelming power. It was the Void Record.
The artifact that had brought him to this world, the Void Record, was a mysterious artifact. its powers sealed until Xiao reached the right level of cultivation. He had no idea what the artifact's true potential was, but he knew that once he unlocked it, it would change everything.
But if what he think is true than this artifact might be a biggest time bomb.
As who knows this might be a revival plan for some old bastards. Who will gradually revive as he break some seal and someday wanted to take over his body.
So he have to rise his gard against this artifact.
But that would come later. For now, Xiao had only one focus—the Awakening Ceremony. Tomorrow, his destiny would change forever. Would he awaken a talent that would shape his future, or would he remain a powerless pawn in this world? His thoughts were interrupted by a soft knock on the door.
"Come in," Xiao called, his voice calm as always, though the thoughts swirling in his mind had momentarily distracted him.
The door opened, and one of his sisters stepped inside. Elizabeth, with her golden eyes and black hair, walked into the room. Her presence was regal, a reflection of her position as one of the most powerful figures within the royal family. Though she carried herself with grace and elegance, Xiao knew all too well that behind her calm demeanor, there was an unyielding force that could tear down anyone who threatened her family.
"You're still awake?" Elizabeth's voice was smooth, laced with an underlying concern.
"I couldn't sleep," Xiao replied, setting his empty glass down on the table. "Too much on my mind, I guess."
"Tomorrow is important," Elizabeth said, walking closer to him, her golden eyes locking onto his. "The ceremony will change everything."
Xiao nodded, though he couldn't shake the sense of unease. His life was about to take a significant turn, one that he wasn't entirely sure he was prepared for. Still, he had the Void Record. Though it's a double edged sword.
Whether it will help him in future or some sinister old bastards revival method he will see it in future.
"Thank you for checking on me," Xiao said, offering her a small, sincere smile.
Elizabeth tilted her head slightly, her expression softening for a brief moment. "Anytime, little brother. We'll protect you, no matter what."
Xiao watched as she turned to leave, her figure disappearing behind the door. He sighed, leaning back in his chair, his eyes once again drifting to the stars.
Tomorrow.
Everything would change tomorrow. But for now, all he could do was wait and prepare for the unknown. The future was uncertain, but with his bloodline, his family, and the Void Record by his side, Xiao knew one thing for sure he was not someone to be underestimated.
