Chapter 16 - ZILAYEFA CHAPTER SIXTEEN

Zilayefa's eyes fluttered open, her mind foggy and disoriented. She was lying on a pile of moldy straw in a dark, damp cellar. She tried to sit up, but a wave of dizziness washed over her, forcing her to lie back down.

As she struggled to regain her composure, Zilayefa heard footsteps echoing outside the cellar door. The door creaked open, and the servant who had attacked her stepped inside.

His eyes gleamed with malice as he approached her. Zilayefa's heart racing, she tried to scramble away from him, but he was too strong. He pinned her down, his hands roaming over her body.

Zilayefa struggled and kicked, but he was too powerful. She was trapped. Just as all hope seemed lost, Zilayefa remembered the servant's true intentions. He had tried to force himself on her before, but she had refused him. Now, he was seeking revenge.

With newfound determination, Zilayefa fought back with all her might. She scratched and clawed, trying to break free from his grasp. Her cries for help echoed through the cellar, but the servant just laughed, his eyes gleaming with sadistic pleasure.

Just when it seemed like all was lost, Zilayefa's cries were heard by another servant, who was passing by the cellar. The servant rushed to alert Mrs. Nickel, the head cook, who quickly came to Zilayefa's aid.

Together, they managed to overpower the servant and save Zilayefa from his clutches. Mrs. Nickel quickly escorted Zilayefa to the safety of the kitchen, where she was given water to drink.

But the ordeal was far from over. Mrs. Nickel quickly sent word to Duke Larry, who was furious when he heard what had happened. He summoned Zilayefa to his chambers, where he demanded to know what had happened.

Zilayefa explained how the servant had attacked her, and how she had fought back. Duke Larry's face darkened with anger, and he called for the servant to be brought before him.

The servant was dragged before Duke Larry, who was seated on his throne. The Duke's eyes blazed with fury as he condemned the servant for his crimes.

"You have brought shame to this castle," Duke Larry thundered. "You will pay for your crimes with your life."

With a wave of his hand, Duke Larry signaled for the servant to be beheaded. The servant screamed and begged for mercy, but it was too late. He was dragged away, kicking and screaming, and beheaded in the courtyard.

The entire castle was forced to watch the execution, a grim reminder of the consequences of disobedience. Zilayefa watched, her heart heavy with emotion, as the servant's lifeless body was carried away.

But Duke Larry's anger was not yet sated. He turned to Zilayefa, his eyes blazing with fury.

"You were foolish to leave the servants' quarters," he thundered. "You could have been killed."

Zilayefa trembled with fear, knowing that she had disobeyed the rules. Duke Larry's punishment was swift and merciless.

"You will starve for the day," he decreed. "Perhaps that will teach you to obey the rules."

And with that, Zilayefa was led away, her heart heavy with sorrow and her stomach growling with . She knew that she had to be more careful in the future, or risk facing the wrath of Duke Larry.

As Zilayefa was led away, her stomach growling with hunger, she couldn't help but feel a sense of despair wash over her. She had been in the castle for weeks now, and every day seemed to bring new challenges and hardships.

She was taken to a small, cramped room deep in the servants' quarters. The room was dimly lit, with only a small window to let in the light. Zilayefa's eyes adjusted slowly to the darkness, and she saw that the room was bare except for a small pallet in the corner.

She was told to stay there until the next day, when she would be allowed to return to her duties. Zilayefa lay down on the pallet, her mind racing with thoughts of her family and her situation.

She knew that she had to be careful, that one misstep could mean severe punishment or even death. But she also knew that she couldn't give up, that she had to keep fighting for her freedom and her family. She just want to save her mother and leave with her family.
