I woke up early in the morning before breakfast was cooked. I realised the days I don't exhaust my mana to the limit, I sleep for less amount of time. I started the day by doing some laps around the house. But I got stopped by mom calling me. "Rudi! What are you doing? Get inside now. And let's have breakfast together." (Where is dad and Lilla?)
When I got in I found dad drinking and Lilla serving him water and preparing the table but as usual she followed the strange steps of serving the table. First is dad, then mom, then me, then she started to put food herself after the day she yielded to mom loosen a bit to and sat on the table with us. My place at the table next to mom. Dad is one end of the table. Next to mom from the other side. Lilla is sitting on the opposite side of the table and she sits in the chair in front of me.
(Still don't answer the free 4 chairs left on the table). One between dad and Lilla two in front of each other next to me and Lilla. The last is the other end of the table opposite to dad's chair.
As usual the food is missing spices and rarely when it has salt in it. But mom's good cooking covers this. Lilla cooking also isn't bad, almost on the same level as mom. (I decided I will ask them to teach me cooking in the next proper chance to open a conversation about it).
After finishing, dad told me that we will go to watchtower today and visit reeves standpoints to understand his job. He also relieved mom by telling her that he killed all possible monsters for the month 4 days ago. And reviewed his job hunting them 2 days ago. And solved all the possible problems yesterday. To have an easy-going day and enjoy going out with me.
(Did he just speculate every question mom is going to ask and finish everything that belongs to his work in less than a week just to get a chance to get me to the watchtower and reeve's stand points without mom finding a reason to say "no!"?).
When mom realised dad prepared everything she just smiled and agreed but warned him if I somehow got hurt it won't just be simple scolding with a menacing smile. Dad solved the problem by groping and kissed her and promised her that he will make sure I won't hurt myself badly. But he will let me run and play freely inside the village because he doesn't want a dainty princess as a son.
Somehow the wooden spoon flew from my hand and reached his head from the back. Mom laughed at this when she looked at me pouting and taking a fighting pose. Dad on the other hand was a little mad about some cream on his hair but laughed it off when he saw me in a fighting stance. (they laughed at me because I'm too young).
"Okay Rudi I got it. You aren't a dainty little princess, I won't call you that again. You are my son." He said with a proud smile. (As long as you stop saying this word you are safe I'm not a fan of being called princess).
"Hmph." I huffed, which created an "oh~cute" look on their faces.
Then dad carried me around the house playing with me first. Then, we did some sword training for the day. But, on a lower scale than the usual for about an hour before dad called it a day. (The training was very easy today and no tiring movements too. He really wanted me to go with him today).
After that he started to head towards the watchtower that he promised mom will be the only one we will go to from the 4 watchtowers. Apparently this one is the most dangerous in normal circumstances but dad cleaned all the monsters from this side this week.
When we reached dad stood below me and told me to climb a very straight ladder and he stood below me to help my tiny feet. (In normal circumstances I would have refused but the ladder steps aren't that big). After 20 seconds of climbing the ladder the last part I found myself carried by slim yet strong arms.
"What a little kid is doing over here? Wait! Aren't you a little too similar to Paul? But, like a kid." Said a blonde long eared elf with a feminine beautiful face that has 2 honeyed red eyes. (That man beat dad's handsome face at least twice).
"Pretty!" (The whole language got forgotten by just seeing his face). When I said it the man chuckled a very light chuckle then smiled.
"You are lucky one Laws. You are The only one who gets one of his complements, who isn't Zenith." Dad climbed the ladder and found the whole situation not one of his liking. Because I haven't yet called him a handsome man. Even with his tries with me after I called mom pretty. I still hadn't. (I was just punishing him for the millis faith lessons mom gives to me because of his idiotic advices)
"Dad handsome, Mr Laws pretty." I tried to play with kid cuteness to solve the problem. Until, I realised I had just treated Mr Laws like a woman with the complement in the grammar structure. (I face-palmed internally, that's the second time in the row to mess things up when meeting new people. It's almost the same as my past life).
The situation made dad smile and got a grimace from the elf but shrugged it off because I was a kid.
"I'm Laws, the hunter who is responsible for this watchtower and this is my child. Luffy." Laws said with a smile then pointed at a Green-haired elf boy the same age as me.
"Syl.ph..ie.tt.e!" Said the little kid with barely audible sound which I didn't hear in the later parts of the name.
"Like father, like son. Your son is very handsome like you Mr Laws and he has very beautiful green-hair." I said trying to fix the last mess-up but for some reason dad face-palmed and shook his head.
"Rudi you didn't introduce yourself and even messed up twice the first time with Laws and now with little Sylphiette." (Wait! What is she girl?)
"Okay daddy, I'm sorry Mr Laws, Sylphiette. I'm Rudeus Greyrat, son of Paul Greyrat." I said making the noble greeting that Ms Lilla had taught me.
"Don't think about it. You are at least more mannered than your father." Said the elf with a playful tone while patting on my father's shoulder. Sylphiette also muttered something but her voice wasn't audible.
"Hey, Laws! Could you please save the jokes we have with each other away from our children."
"Well the mood needed some jokes especially with how timid Luffy is and how your son can't complete a sentence without messing something up." Said the elf making his daughter even more timid and made me pout.
"Well, he tried to compliment you and your daughter's beautiful faces but he proved yet again he is still a toddler." Said dad trying to defend me.
While they were talking I used this chance to see my surroundings and the view and it was amazing and very beautiful from the almost harvestable wheat to the beautiful scenery of the meadows and the nearby hills and flowers in them and the near big tree over a hill near the house but closer to the forest.
"Udi.. Rudi. Are you with us over here." Dad was calling me for sometime to make me snap from spacing out admiring the scenery.
"Yes, dad!"
"Uff. I was saying go play with little Sylphiette while me and Laws talk."
"Okay!" (I agreed with them then I had realised we have no way of going down this ladder alone).
"Dad, Mr. Laws, little help please." I said pointing to the ladder. So both of them carried me and Sylphiette downstairs then told us to play near them and don't go near the forest.
"So, Sylphiette, what will we play together?" I asked to know what games she was willing to play.
"I.. I don't know, I never played with anyone before." Said the green-haired elf-girl. (What this Paul did he just left 2 toddlers to try and figure what to do)
After some thinking trying to figure out the best game to play I found no solution except making some stone bullets then making them like tiny balls and we can play with like marbles.
"Sylphiette, let's play with these stones. Like this." I showed her but still her timid character didn't change. She was still in semi-ball form, rarely looking at my side and when I called she almost gasped but nodded.
After an hour of playing with marbles. (Stone-built). Dad descended the stairs and he smiled when he saw Sylphiette timid character wasn't the same but still a little bit of shyness from her side.
"Now Rudi it's about time for little Sylphiette to go home." Dad said with a smile and the elf-hunter next to him. (He is really handsome and hr has a bow on his back? Why didn't I see it sooner?).
"Okay daddy, but will Mr Laws escort Sylphiette home." (I want to play with her again, she is a shy pure girl who doesn't laugh every time she sees my face). Dad smiled at the comment then said.
"No, Rudi, we will send her home. Then, continue on our way."
"Okay daddy let's go Sylphiette." I said as I took her arm to help her in standing up.
Then we moved to a small house (almost like a hut) where her mother waited for her then we continued our way. After that dad made me visit the Reeves standpoints starting from Mr Smith standpoint where I met Ms Ena and Anna again. Who smiled when they greeted me and Mrs Ena chuckled light chuckle when I did the right greeting. (They aren't going to forget what happened this easily).
After that Ms Ena told me to play with Anna then after we finished to send her home while she told something to her husband then left us and went home where Anna proved she has friends and played with them unlike me and Sylphiette because in a second she suggested hundreds of games and we played together.
After playing for sometime Mr Smith told us that he will take Anna home himself and he treated me with a smile and kind demeanor making me feel really safe around him. And he treats Paul like he is his father. This man has a knack to talk to people kindly and make everyone happy when they are talking to him.
The day continues with meeting the reeves and their families except for Pete who is a young teenager who is still 13 and he is alone kid without a family. And he asked dad for the daily spar where dad agreed and after dad won he told him he soon will be intermediate in water god style.
After dad finished with him Pete played with me and said soon I will join their spars and training together to become strong like dad. (Pete sees dad as older brother and strangely both him and dad, sees Mr Smith like a good father figure).
Before sunset dad carried me home and asked me if I enjoyed the day and if I made friends today too. (He is implying something either about Sylphiette or Anna or maybe both. When he and mom will realise even if I have consciousness it's still too early for this kind of talk?).
In home
We arrived right at lunchtime where mom and Lilla cooked an extravagant lunch. (Mostly Lilla of course). The food consists of a meat soup & Asuran bread & terminator boar meat (this one made in the furnace) & some kind of vegetable like potatoes and finally a fig and walnut cake mom made to surprise dad.
While we were eating, dad smirked at me then said."You know, Zenith, today Rudi just made a girlfriend and he mistook her for a boy first." Mom stopped eating to listen to dad. And when dad said girlfriend her eyebrow twitched. (Idiot he is going to get us killed one day).
"Uff you know it's not funny and it's not my fault she wears shorts and hoodie with short green-hair. Anyone could make this honest mistake especially if your father nicknamed you with a boy's name." Mom on the other hand wasn't focused on my talk or what dad said except one word.
"Girlfriend who she is? And how cute is she? I will make her call me mama too." (This family is a lost cause). I looked for Lilla to help. She just sighed and shook her head. (Why did she suddenly stopped to help me?)
"Mom, dad please I'm 2 years-old and I was saying with a friend my age. And if anyone crossdresses at an early age it is hard to be figured out." When I finished mom had a wide smile. (Scary one too!). That's when I realised what she wanted.
"Mom I will never ever under any circumstances wear any girl clothes." When I finished Paul spat the juice he was drinking from the jug and started laughing. Then said,
"I would like to see you in a Rudi Like a true dainty little princess." He said while laughing. (I'm holding back from drenching him with water magic, I will take my revenge on you Paul just you wait).
"See Rudi, it will be cute and even Paul wants to see it." She certainly doesn't understand anything about sarcasm.
"NO! I refuse." I jumped out of my chair and tried to run away from her.
After 10 minutes I found myself in the middle of the living room and mom is looking at me with a starry eyes. While dad was laughing and slapping his legs can't stop laughing and hitting me with sarcastic words. And Lilla was smiling from the side. Laughing silently. (I will never forgive you for what you did to me).
The reason for all of that is that mom took a prepared dress she had. If I was a girl and she made me wear it. And when she found me cute continued to put make-up on, literally making me look more feminine than Anna and Sylphiette combined. (Anna had shoulder length hair but her face was just normal beauty a leagues behind my family. On the other hand Sylphiette has a very slim girl body with a face destroying our family beauty).
Mom started by washing my hair then combing it then she put simple make-up on, adding redness to my cheeks and increasing my white skin slightly. The dress was a yellow one, making a good combination with my hair.
That's harsh harassment. And if it wasn't bad enough Paul said he knows exactly what gift he will give me for my first birthday he said with a mocking smile. (Anything more and I will cry, please, someone save me from their hands. Wait! No, I don't want anyone to see me right now).
After mom hugged me and said I'm the best daughter she wanted and dad made fun for about an hour Lilla finally empathised with my state and came with my clothes. Then she brought a tie and tied my hair to make it more feminine and told mom more advices about how to make me look more like a girl. (Traitor I won't forgive you)
They stopped when they realised my eyes started to form tears and it's no longer just a pout with very puffed cheeks. So, mom washed my face and dad told me. "Don't cry, leave crying to for the real princesses." And Lilla gave mom the clothes and changed me to my clothes finally.
The dinner that day was silent and my pout was the reason I didn't stop pouting and scowling the whole day. Also I started to call Lilla by her name again and stopped adding Ms before her name, as for father and mother this became the way of calling them all. (Lilla just shrugged the punishment, Paul was barely affected, only mom cried and pulled me into a hug and promised not make me wear dresses again).
When I went to bed I almost cried again from the bullying they did to me and told myself not to say any idiotic ideas ever again. As usual I didn't sleep without wasting mana but the most efficient way now I use is with one hand removing gravity from the area around me and putting a heavier one with the other hand. (I hardly stay 3 minutes before my mana depletes and it's not even my full power).
