Third person's POV
Camila clutched Aria's hand tightly as they stepped into the underground healer's chamber. The scent of herbs and the flicker of strange blue flames on the walls sent chills down her spine. Aria had grown quiet, more withdrawn, and Camila knew, deep down, that something was terribly wrong.
Nathaniel had stepped outside to talk to the guards, but Camila didn't miss the way his eyes kept returning to her, like she was his anchor. They had just gotten her back. They couldn't afford to lose anyone else.
"Aria, what is it?" Camila whispered when they were alone.
The little girl's eyes brimmed with tears. "I didn't mean to… I didn't know it would happen like this."
Camila's pulse quickened. "What happened, sweetheart?"
Aria looked up, and her irises flickered gold for a moment—just like Nathaniel's when his wolf took over. But this wasn't a full transformation. It was unstable. Dangerous.
