"Stop."
The voice was ice cold and left no room for discussion.
It was not loud yet, it echoed in everyone's mind in an instant. It carried a certain prestige and experience through the air, so much that right as Lucius was about to slap Alex, he stopped midway, his head slowly turning around, wondering who the owner of that voice was.
And when he did, Lucius's eyes widened ever so slightly.
The one at the top had come down because of his actions.
'Did I take this too far?' Lucius thought as he simply stood there under the gaze of the Smith CEO.
He did not look mad. Instead, he looked disappointed.
"Son..."
His gaze wasn't in Lucius's direction. It was toward his son. The man was disappointed in his son.
"Did you really have to anger someone else all over again?" he asked, his voice calm yet deadly.
