Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: Mental realm Part two

Lila's smile deepened as she leaned slightly forward, her piercing gaze fixed on Ryker. "Before I answer, I believe I already told you that the Ethereal Mind Scripture is very special within our clan," she began, her voice calm but carrying an undertone of reverence. "It is, quite literally, the best mental cultivation technique we possess—known only to the direct descendants of our progenitor herself."

She paused, as if contemplating the weight of her next words. "It is said, within our ancient clan scrolls, that the technique did not originate from this world. It was gifted to the progenitor by a great being from another realm. Whether this is true or simply a myth, I cannot say for certain, but you cannot expect it to have the same mediocre effect as normal mind realm techniques."

The ethereal mind technique grants those who cultivate it a mental world from its beginning stages its size and details depending on the talent of the one cultivating. Usually, the mental world would span 250m in both length and width and would continue to expand as you cultivate. A weapon of will is normally created depending again on the person's disposition as well as other factors. One could have an axe, spear or mace.

But regardless all weapons of wills at the solidified consciousness stage never grow beyond 15 meters. It has been an iron clad rule since the time of the progenitor till now. For those who cultivate the ethereal mind scripture we gain more than ten times the mental defenses of normal mind cultivators as well as the ability to attack the mind of an opponent though to a very limited extent. Our perception leagues beyond average and the mental reinforcement it provides is off the charts compared to the average joe. Even with all this the most important benefit is the early introduction to will. You would understand its significance in the future.

Ryker's eyes flickered with intrigue as he absorbed her explanation, his thoughts churned with her words, a mixture of awe and unease stirring in his chest. "But… does this mean something went wrong during my cultivation?" he asked hesitantly

.Lila shook her head, your situation is a testament to your extraordinary potential. You're not broken, Ryker—you're exceptional. Unfathomable, even.

Her golden gaze locked onto Ryker, her expression turning intense. "To put it simply, your situation defies every known precedent. Your mental world spans an astonishing one kilometer—four times the standard for those who cultivate the Ethereal Mind Scripture. And your weapon of will… a colossal sword a hundred meters in size?" She let out a small, breathy laugh. "Unimaginable. To say you are extraordinary would be an understatement."

Ryker nodded slowly, her words sinking into his mind. Despite the unease he initially felt, her unwavering confidence gave him clarity.

Lila softened her tone, as if sensing his hesitation. "Let me explain further," she said. "Those who cultivate the Ethereal Mind Scripture enjoy significant advantages even in its earliest stages. Our mental defenses are more than ten times stronger than those of ordinary mental cultivators. Our perception and awareness are leagues beyond average, and the reinforcement it provides to mental fortitude is unparalleled.

She leaned forward again, her tone growing serious. "Your potential sets you apart, yes, but it also places immense pressure on you. Greater talent comes with greater expectations—and greater dangers. You are walking a path that no one before you has tread. That's why it's crucial that you master your abilities completely. Stability and control are paramount."

Ryker remained silent, his mind racing with questions and realizations. Lila, noticing his introspection, allowed him the moment to process everything.

Finally, he spoke, his voice quieter than usual. "Mother… is it normal for someone at the Solidified Consciousness Stage to have constructs within their mental world? Mountains, lakes, structures like I do?"

Lila tilted her head, her warm smile widening as she addressed Ryker. "No, it is not normal," she repeated, her tone calm yet firm. "But, as I mentioned earlier, the Ethereal Mind Scripture grants a cultivator as much as their talent can carry. Awakened throughout the clan's history, even those who are considered prodigies, who gained the opportunity to cultivate this technique, only manage to cultivate mental worlds at the Solidified Consciousness Stage that are sparse—empty expanses with only a few, often unremarkable constructs. A handful of mountains, maybe a small river or two—nothing extraordinary."

Her gaze softened, and her voice took on a note of pride. "The intricacy, scope, and life within your consciousness space are unparalleled. Every detailed construct, every thread of energy flowing within it, is a testament to your overwhelming talent in this field. Such uniqueness is a blessing, Ryker. You should embrace it, not doubt it. Be proud of the potential you carry."

Lila's golden eyes gleamed as they locked onto his. "You're far more than ordinary, my boy. Your mental world and the towering sword at its center are physical representations of a mind that refuses limits. Such things have not been seen before, not even among the greatest awakened of our clan."

Her smile lingered, equal parts maternal and filled with the weight of expectation. "Take pride in what you've accomplished, but do not become complacent. This is only the beginning of your journey. To wield such potential effectively, you'll need to nurture it, refine it, and ensure that it remains under your control."

Ryker took her words to heart, the weight of her pride and the enormity of his own potential settling over him. He straightened his posture, determination burning in his eyes.

"Thank you, Mother," he said firmly, his earlier doubts fading. "I will work harder. I will not waste this gift."
