Chapter 41
Both of them look at Ark like he's a stranger, wondering if they heard correctly. He went all the way to the end of the known Dimensions, where the strongest are, killed maybe the most important person to ever be born there, and then just simply said, "I won't play with you anymore. I will go back."
Kyle asks again:
"When were you in the last Dimension, and what do you mean by a new plan?"
Ark answers:
"Well, I was only in my twenties when I got my powers, and the year I started going up to the other Dimensions, I think it was the year 2025. The rising took almost a hundred years. Then I came back and I started planning. That was when I met Melody for the first time and made her my disciple. It was 2125. Then I spent the next ten years making Melody powerful, and the people were already playing with the Dark Energy. I knew that it wouldn't end well, so I told Melody to guard my body while I went with my soul to the other Dimensions. I went with my soul because I could hide from the cores and the searching eyes of the Sage Celestials if I was careful."
"My plan was to make some powerful disciples so that they could help me with the search for the Dimension Cores, because that would be my only chance to break the wall of the 1000th Dimension without killing everyone else. If I broke it by force, then all the Dimensions would collapse. I would be the only survivor, left all alone, and I don't want that. Of course, if I must kill a few like a small number, let's say a few... 'Billions' then I could live with that. But all to die? That is not good."
Aurora is again shocked by the level of speaking. The time Ark says it was over 100,000 years ago, and he's even older than the big ones who took part in the Dark Age after the explosion. And the levels of power that he fought against... What is the young man in front of her? Can she even call him young? A spark of interest is growing inside her for the frail-looking young man. Did he always look so good?
Ark continues.
"The new plan is to break the walls of all Dimensions and make doors for everyone to use, so that they can go and come anytime they want to any Dimension they want. Of course, only if they are strong enough to resist the higher Dimensions. When I have all the cores, I will be able to do that, and I will be able to put guardians in every Dimension so that the rules are upheld. And at the end of it all, I want to have a nice place to come back to. That means my home here on Earth."
"Of course, I will only take it easy after I stand at the highest peak, all under me. That means even the 'Old Monsters' that are hiding behind Fate and Destiny and are 'Leading' things from behind the curtain."
Kyle and Aurora feel like he could really do it. It's a strange feeling, they don't know him for long, Aurora only now knowing Ark, but in a strange way, they both feel like Ark only spoke facts. Like what he says is what the reality around them says. A really strange feeling indeed.
Then Aurora asks:
"Then where are they now? What are they planning?"
Ark turns his head and looks past the clouds in the sky and says:
"They are in a pocket Dimension and are heading towards Earth. In about half an hour, they will be here."
Kyle looks towards Ark and says:
"I will try to talk to the other guys and see how they are doing. If they managed to save the Empires, then they need to come back fast."
Ark nods and then goes to Aurora for small talk, not a care in the world.
Kyle looks at them and just shakes his head, really not understanding how Ark's brain works.
Then he takes his device, like a phone out and calls all the big players at once. The phone vibrates a few times, then the faces of all the big players start to show in different holograms, like screens above the phone.
Then Kyle says:
"Hey, guys, how are you? Did all of you manage to save the Empire you were sent to?"
Then Niobe gives the OK—the Second Empire is saved.
Melody also answers that the Third Empire is no problem, everything is OK.
Kyle also tells them that the Fourth and Fifth are also saved.
But in the feed from the First Empire, only Leah appears, and she says:
"Guys, my father is still fighting the Devil Royalty in the First Empire. He managed to kill one, but the second one is putting up quite a fight, and I am fighting to control the minions, so I can't help him. If someone can come and help us, it would be appreciated."
Kyle then says to Leah:
"OK, I will talk to Ark. He can come there the fastest."
Then Kyle briefs them about the Royals' Planet and about Ark's Plan.
It takes about 2 minutes to tell them all, and after, they all have shocked faces, their brains slow to process everything they heard. Kyle knows they need some time to process everything, so he hangs up and goes to talk to Ark.
When he finds Ark, he sees him laughing and having a great time with Aurora. He goes to him and tells him:
"Ark, we still have friends who need help, and we are still at war, so once again, act like it."
Then Ark turns to him and says:
"You jealous much? What, do you want Aurora for yourself?"
Kyle just blocks all of a sudden. Aurora just blushes like a teenager, but only for a moment because then she takes control of her emotions.
But she looks between Ark and Kyle, then says:
"Guys, what are you joking about? This is not the right time and place."
Aurora again saves Kyle. Ark just starts laughing and asks:
"Who needs help?"
Kyle then wakes up and thinks, 'When was I ever put in a place so awkward by anybody? I will get you back, just you wait,' and after answers:
"Zmaug and Leah in the First Empire. He managed to defeat a Devil Royalty, but he has trouble with the second one."
Ark just nods and then turns to Aurora and says:
"Well, it seems I have to go, but I will be back soon. I'll see you at dinner."
Then Ark just disappears, he teleported to the First Empire. Kyle looks at the place he just was, thinking, 'He already has a date with her. It's not even a full hour since they just met. What is happening here?'
Ark appears above the city where Zmaug and Leah were fighting. He looks down and sees Leah, how she runs from place to place, killing as many as possible.
Zmaug was fighting a Devil Royal that was ten meters tall, with gray skin and a round head with teeth like saw blades that took up more than half of his face. His eyes were white—completely white, no pupil visible inside, no tattoos on his skin. His hands were long, just beneath the knees. The problem with him was his power.
He flies down to Leah first and says:
"Hi, stranger, do you want some help with the cleaning?"
Leah looks behind her, not feeling that someone was behind her until Ark spoke. So she turns in a hurry but then calms down when she sees who it is. Then a smile appears on her lips, and she says:
"Master Ark, you are here. I would love a helping hand."
Then Ark nods and raises his hand toward the Devils and the Dark Beings' minions, and a white wave expands from his hand.
Everywhere this wave passes, the monsters just stop on the spot and then fall. Their eyes are hollow, but on their bodies, there is not a wound made. They fall like flies. In a moment, most of the monsters are dead, their souls destroyed.
He says:
"You can take care of the rest. I will go to your father."
Then he takes flight again, and in a moment is next to Zmaug.
When Zmaug sees him, he says:
"Ark, when did you get here? What happened with the others?"
Ark looks at him with a smile on his face:
"I just got here. The other Empires are already saved. You were taking too long, old man. Too slow. So I came to speed things up a little bit."
Zmaug starts to release heat from his body, and the things around him melt away. Then he says with an angry voice:
"What old man? You are an old man, you are older than me, old man. And I would've saved this Empire ages ago if this Devil hadn't been here. But this cockroach doesn't want to die."
Then Ark turns towards the Devil and asks:
"What is your name? And do you have a last wish?"
