Chapter 44
Ashan looks at him, and a smile forms on his face:
"Because in ten minutes, when the energy from the cube is depleted, Melody will die. That means if you don't kill me in ten minutes, then she will die. But again, if you use your powers, then Earth will die. So what will it be? Who will be the lucky one? Who will see tomorrow again? Choices and choices; I really wouldn't want to be in your place right now. But you are in luck because I will give you a third choice: you die, and the rest live."
And when he finishes talking, the red energy covers his entire body completely. Now he can use his full power without feeling the rejection. He raises his hand in front of him and looks at it for a second, then he makes a fist and raises his head towards Ark and says:
"I spent the last 100,000 years searching and planning how to have my revenge on you. I even stole the cube from our Vault. Now I am hunted by my own people because of you. But it was all worth it, so many years of planning just for this moment. And the best thing was that the Dimension Core decided just when you came back from your journey to merge with the Earth's Core, just like it knew that you would come back at this moment in time. It's like it waited for you. But I don't care what happened because it gave me the perfect solution to all of my plans, so that everything works even better in my favor."
Ark looks at him, then at Melody. He is also trying to come up with a plan so that all of them live. But the odds are completely against him. Ashan's plan is too good and perfect, with not even one stone left unturned that he can use to turn the tables.
He says:
"Are you waiting and stalling so that you can give yourself courage? Are you afraid of me? Ha ha ha! After I finish with you, I will go back to the 1000th Dimension, and then I will show them what true despair is. Even if it takes a million years to reach there, all will receive a much-needed kick in the balls from me. And just because you think you can kill me, that doesn't mean that is the destiny that will follow. Because fate and destiny can be 'CHANGED'."
Ashan starts laughing out loud and says:
"YOU WILL DIE. No fate and destiny will be changed today, and even if you survive, you won't be able to go back because the Sage Celestials made sure of that. They blocked the Dimensions Walls so that no one can get past them like they used to. Now, if you try to break it by force, a chain reaction will start that will collapse the others, and all who are caught up in the collapse will be dead, including you. Even you can't survive that."
Ark smiles and says:
"Well, maybe my younger self wouldn't survive, but who said that I remained at that level? Of course, you would have false information about me because they only saw me when I was younger and only starting to discover my powers. But let me tell you something: even then, I wasn't fighting at full power. That means that I didn't come back because I was afraid; I came back because I knew that if I stayed there, then I would do something that I would regret, like unleashing my full power and destroying the dimension. That would let the darkness and the unknown from the other side of the wall come to our dimension. And I didn't want that."
Then Ark tells Terra:
"Little Marshmallow, can you move a little bit to the side? I am mad and I need to squash a little bug. Then I will come and give you your present, okay?"
Then the little mouse nods and goes to the side.
Ashan looks at Ark and doesn't see fear on his face, only guilt.
Then he sees Ark coming towards him with slow steps. He also raises his aura and prepares himself; he knows he can't underestimate him. He is the one who killed thousands of Sages, including the one who didn't lose any match in her entire life: his sister.
He also starts walking towards Ark, with Melody remaining trapped by the cube in that spot.
Then suddenly, a sonic boom is heard. Ark and Ashan are running towards each other, a trail of destruction left behind them. When they meet in the middle, they both strike with a fist, hitting each other exactly, and that creates an explosion like a bomb that sends everything flying. The stalemate lasts for a second, then Ark starts to be pushed back, and he is sent flying the next moment. When he stops, his right arm hangs next to him like a rope, the bones broken in more places, causing the arm to bend and turn like a rope.
Ark looks at his arm and thinks, 'When was the last time someone broke my bones? I can't even remember.'
Then he lifts his head and sees Ashan looking at him with a smug face and a mocking smile, then he hears him:
"So, the mighty Ark, hurt by a simple punch! Ha ha ha! How long I waited for this day. Don't worry, I won't kill you so fast. First, you will suffer."
Then he flies towards him, aiming to hit him from above with a roundhouse kick. If this kick connects, then Ark's head could go flying. But Ark blocks the kick with his right arm. His healing working wonders, his arm is already completely healed.
But when he blocks, he is sent flying again, and now his arm is even worse than before. He planned to resist this hit and then hit Ashan with his left, but the kick was too strong, he wasn't able to block it even for a second.
Then Ashan speaks again:
"What happened? Where are your powers? Oohh, wait! You can't use them, you can only take a beating like a b****! Ha ha ha! Well, you don't have to worry; I won't use mine either. I will fight with you in close quarters because that way, I can feel how your bones are broken by my punches. I waited too long for this revenge to not savor it for as long as I can."
Then he sees Ark again getting up, with his arm already healed. Again he says:
"You have really strong healing. I wonder how much you can take until your healing can't keep up anymore."
But before he can finish, he sees Ark in front of him. He doesn't have time to respond, so he takes a punch directly to his face, and he is sent flying, losing a few teeth in the process.
When he stops, he spits a mouthful of blood, and the pain almost makes him scream. But he gets up and looks with angry eyes toward Ark. He knows now, Ark can teleport. He needs to be careful.
And the next moment, he also appears next to Ark, his speed doubled, looking as if he also teleported. His punch is coming for Ark's chin, but Ark backs half a step, and the punch misses. Then he sends a counter, a left hook towards Ashan's face. But Ashan just bends his body to the left a little bit, and the punch also misses. Then they back off, but in the next second, they fly again at each other's necks.
Ark comes now with a kick towards Ashan's stomach, but Ashan just jumps up, and again he tries to kick Ark's head with a whip-like strike. Ark can only block it with his arms, but now he uses both and lowers his center of gravity to take the full brunt of the hit. One of his arms is again broken, but he doesn't care about this insignificant injury.
Ashan's kick is stopped. Then Ark just looks at him for a moment, then he smiles. Ashan has a bad feeling, and with good grounds, because the next moment he sees Ark's eyes as they start to glow red.
Then, the next moment, Ark fires his laser eyes and hits Ashan's body with full power. He is sent towards the sky, the laser eyes still shooting, and a line of red is seen from miles away.
Then Ark stops the laser and waits. The next moment, he sees Ashan coming back with half of his chest and his left arm missing. But until he lands, his chest is already closing, and then his arm starts regrowing, the cube's energy healing him even faster than Ark's healing.
Then Ark says:
"You still rely on weapons to fight, which has made you weaker than you were at the beginning."
But Ashan answers:
"Well, you might be strong, but remember, a weapon will take your life, so of course I will rely on them."
