The morning sunlight filtered through the curtains, casting a soft glow over the room. The scent of rain still lingered in the air, mixing with the warmth of their shared body heat.
Nevaeh stirred first, blinking sleepily as she felt the steady rise and fall of Mordred's chest beneath her. His arm was wrapped around her protectively, his fingers lazily tracing circles on her bare back even in his half-asleep state.
She smiled. So even in sleep, he doesn't want to let me go?
Carefully, she propped herself up on one elbow, watching him. He looked peaceful, his usually sharp features relaxed. For once, he wasn't the untouchable celebrity, the man with walls built so high that no one could climb them.
He was just Mordred.
Nevaeh leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to his cheek, then trailed her lips to his jawline, teasingly.
"You're staring," Mordred murmured, his voice thick with sleep.
Nevaeh grinned. "I can't help it. You're even hotter in the morning."
He groaned, running a hand through his messy hair. "I should've kicked you out last night."
"Oh? After the way you begged for more? Please, Mordred, don't act tough now," she teased, poking his chest.
Mordred smiled and suddenly flipped her onto her back, pinning her beneath him. His eyes, still heavy with sleep, held an amused but dark glint.
"You really love pushing my buttons, don't you?"
"And you love it," she shot back, biting her lip.
Mordred didn't argue. Instead, he leaned down, capturing her lips in a slow, intoxicating kiss that made her toes curl.
Just as things were heating up again, Nevaeh's phone buzzed loudly on the nightstand. She groaned and reached for it, only for Mordred to snatch it first.
"No distractions," he said, tossing it across the bed.
"It could be important," she protested.
"I don't care," he muttered, kissing down her neck.
Nevaeh laughed, pushing him away playfully. "Okay, okay, let me check before my friends barge in here thinking I got kidnapped."
Mordred sighed dramatically, flopping back on the pillows as she grabbed her phone. The moment she unlocked it, a flood of messages from Teresa, Lily, and Donna popped up.
Teresa: "OMG NEVAEH WHERE ARE YOU? DON'T TELL ME YOU STAYED AT MORDRED'S PLACE??"
Lily: "Girl, the internet is going CRAZY. That video of you two kissing yesterday? It's trending EVERYWHERE."
Donna: "Nevaeh… just admit you're in love with him and be done with it."
Nevaeh raised an eyebrow and scrolled through social media. Sure enough, videos from the shoot had gone viral overnight. Fans were shipping them, speculating, and the media was eating it up.
She turned to Mordred, holding up her phone. "So... we're officially the internet's hottest rumor now."
Mordred peeked at the screen and sighed. "Great. Just what I needed."
"You say that, but deep down, you love it," she teased.
He grabbed her wrist and pulled her back against him. "The only thing I love right now is you shutting up and staying in bed with me."
Nevaeh smirked, pressing a kiss to his lips. "You're stuck with me now, superstar."
Mordred chuckled, wrapping his arms around her. "Yeah... and I don't mind one bit."
