Chapter 93 - Chapter 93: Experience

Inside the Furnace, in Rosalind's room.

Lynn recounted his previous experience of being forced into the Emerald Island Great Forest due to a mandatory task. However, he carefully filtered the content he shared.

He revealed everything up until he discovered "Little Green" but deliberately concealed any details regarding it.

Rosalind sat gracefully on the sofa, her long, slender legs elegantly crossed. Her posture was poised, and her every movement exuded the refined elegance of nobility.

The reason she had specifically summoned Lynn was that she was planning to follow the Master of the Furnace into the Emerald Island Great Forest in seven days.

However, what surprised Rosalind was that Lynn personally informed her he had successfully nullified his master-servant contract with the Furnace.

This meant that he was no longer obligated to accept mandatory tasks and, naturally, had no need to enter the perilous Emerald Island Great Forest.

"Teacher, I think it's best if you don't go to that place either. That space is far too strange…"

Lynn hesitated for a moment before cautiously advising her.

He was well aware that powerful figures such as the Black Dragon Aestry, the Lord of the Nightshadow Fortress, and the leader of the Bitter Heart Sect were all trapped within the forest.

For someone like Rosalind, who had not even reached the rank of a Third-Level Grand Wizard, entering that place would be no different from walking into a death trap.

Rosalind listened to Lynn's warning, her gaze slightly sharpening, yet she showed no sign of wavering.

She could understand and even appreciate Lynn's cautious nature. After all, despite his young age, he had already reached the level of a Third-Level Apprentice.

Moreover, nullifying his contract with the Furnace first was undoubtedly a wise move it gave him ample time to focus on his growth and cultivation.

From her perspective, given Lynn's talent and temperament, steadily advancing to a formal Wizard over the course of the next twenty years was the most sensible and safest approach.

Perhaps in twenty years, she would have a disciple who had become a full-fledged Wizard.

But Rosalind was not Lynn she had her reasons.

Faced with her student's concern, she let out a soft sigh, her red lips parting as she spoke in a gentle yet somewhat helpless tone:

"I have my reasons for going…"

Hearing this, Lynn immediately understood that he wouldn't be able to dissuade his teacher.

Yet, he dared not say too much either, for fear that revealing too much might expose the fact that he was now wanted by the Master of the Furnace.

Thus, he swallowed the words he wanted to say and remained silent.

"By the way, Teacher, I wanted to ask what are the key points or important considerations for a Third-Level Apprentice attempting to break through to a formal Wizard?"

Lynn thought about Sonya's situation and decided to ask tentatively.

However, his question made Rosalind raise an eyebrow slightly. Her red lips pressed together, and her expression carried a hint of displeasure. Her tone was tinged with playful mockery:

"Lynn, is that place so terrifying to you? You just advanced to a Third-Level Apprentice, and you're already eager to ask about the path to becoming a formal Wizard. Could it be that you think your teacher won't return after entering that space?"

Lynn immediately broke out in a cold sweat and quickly waved his hands in denial:

"It's not like that, Teacher! It's not for me I'm asking on behalf of someone else. She has accumulated enough battle merits and is preparing to break through to a formal Wizard. And you know her it's Sonya."

Hearing this, Rosalind's expression softened, and she sighed lightly.

"So that's how it is. I thought you were cursing me…"

When Sonya was mentioned, her tone carried a trace of emotion:

"That girl has had a rough journey. She once took the initiative to enter the Emerald Island Forest, risking her life to earn battle merits, but ended up suffering severe injuries. Even though she managed to survive, her body was modified to the point of being unrecognizable. Her teacher, who has always been extremely particular about appearances, was so dissatisfied that he simply expelled her from his tutelage."

"But now, she's finally earned enough battle merits to attempt her breakthrough. I truly hope she succeeds. She has sacrificed so much she deserves to be rewarded."

After hearing this, Lynn finally understood why Sonya was so desperate, repeatedly returning to the Emerald Island Great Forest despite nearly dying each time.

Her teacher had abandoned her simply because her modified body no longer met his aesthetic standards.

No wonder Sonya had never once mentioned her teacher in their conversations clearly, they had long since severed all ties.

At that moment, Rosalind smiled slightly and looked at Lynn.

"Although our method of breaking through to a formal Wizard may differ from others since you asked, I'll share some general knowledge with you. Consider it a free lesson for both you and Sonya."

With that, she gathered her thoughts and began to explain the key points and important considerations for advancing from a Third-Level Apprentice to a formal Wizard.

Lynn held his breath and listened intently, afraid of missing a single detail.

At this moment, he wasn't just asking for Sonya he was also preparing for his future.

"I won't repeat the basics of being a Third-Level Apprentice you already know those. Breaking through human limits, adapting to wizardry templates, and preparing magic potions are all external conditions. However, the true key lies within your own heart never lose your soul."

Rosalind paused before continuing in an even more serious tone:

"When transitioning from a Third-Level Apprentice to a formal Wizard, you must establish a foundation something that you will never forget, deep in your soul. Whether it is hatred, love, longing, or even guilt, it must be like a lighthouse in the vast ocean, a guiding beacon that will lead your ship home."

Her voice was gentle yet firm, imparting many insights and details.

Lynn listened intently, deep in thought.

However, since he had not yet personally experienced the breakthrough, his understanding was only surface-level. The true realization would only come when he faced the challenge himself.

After finishing her explanation, Rosalind seemed to recall Lynn's earlier apprehension about the eerie space. Before leaving, she left him with one last cryptic message:

"Remember Azure Sky still exists."

Lynn was baffled by this statement and wanted to ask more, but Rosalind had already waved him out, closing the door behind him.

After leaving Rosalind's room, Lynn did not immediately head to Sonya's quarters.

Instead, he first took a brief tour of the Furnace's stronghold before finally making his way to see Sonya.

As soon as he pushed open the door, he was met with an atmosphere completely different from what he had expected.

Unlike the typical room of a young woman, Sonya's space lacked any floral decorations or soft pink hues. Instead, it exuded an eerie and cold aura.

Severed limbs were displayed around the room, anatomical diagrams hung on the walls, and beneath her bed was a hidden crystal coffin.

Inside the coffin, a translucent blue liquid swirled, submerging a vague, embryo-like existence.

Lynn's gaze lingered on the crystal coffin, surprise flashing across his eyes.

Noticing his reaction, Sonya remained unperturbed. She calmly explained:

"As you can see, I originally planned to use this life embryo to repair my body during my breakthrough to a formal Wizard. But now, with the Furnace issuing another mandatory task, there's no time for it to fully develop."

Her tone darkened slightly as she continued:

"I fought tooth and nail to accumulate the battle merits needed to break through. Now that I finally have enough, I refuse to let this mandatory task drag me into the forest again. If I die inside, wouldn't all my efforts be nothing more than a joke?"
