Ruby halted in her tracks and looked at Ella from above her shoulder wordlessly.
Ella's eyes teared up, her fingers trembled a little.
Seeing that she did not say anything, the woman turned to leave.
''Wait… Congrats on your engagement!" To stop her from leaving, Ella blurted the first thing that came to her mind.
Ruby's face turned icier at her words. Without sparing a word at Ella, she turned around and left.
Looking at her retreating back, a hint of sadness flickered in her eyes.
