[Achievements: 1]
[Achievements Section Description]
[Achievements are hidden, optional challenges tied to a user's personal growth. Completing them grants a random item, its quality and uniqueness determined by luck—or perhaps the whims of fate itself.]
[You have officially become a Genin, a full-fledged shinobi of Konoha, capable of taking on missions to earn rewards, gain invaluable experience, and, with a bit of luck, step beyond the comfort of your home! The system congratulates you, user: Rock Lee!]
[Reward: The Kunai That Pierces Time and Space]
[New Reward Description]
[The Kunai That Pierces Time and Space—essentially just a regular knife in the hands of a ninja. A bit sharper, a bit tougher than an ordinary kunai crafted by the Leaf's blacksmiths. While using it, the chances of an enemy Chunin accidentally impaling themselves on the blade and dying mysteriously increase ever so slightly.]
"Hmmm... Such an unnecessary amount of flair," Lee muttered under his breath, squinting at the long and slightly overwhelming cascade of system messages. He climbed the stairs to the rooftop alongside Tenten and Neji Hyuga, heading to meet their squad leader—Jonin Might Guy, who had instructed them to gather there.
"Um, Lee." Tenten's brown eyes sparkled with curiosity and youthful enthusiasm as she turned to him. "I heard you know our future sensei personally. He even attended your Genin exam alongside the Hokage. So... what's he like?"
Unlike Tenten, who was all positivity and excitement, Neji Hyuga radiated an entirely different aura—one of cold detachment, like a human embodiment of ice. If Tenten was the team's optimism, Neji was its unshakable cynicism, forming a stark contrast to his two teammates.
The Hyuga prodigy, displeased by the mere fact of being placed in a team with an annoyingly energetic, thick-browed fool and a girl who, in his eyes, had demonstrated nothing beyond an ability to throw kunai and shuriken, saw no reason to even entertain the thought of getting used to them. To make matters worse, their Jonin instructor was one of the most eccentric individuals in all of Konoha—known not for his great deeds, but for his...
...unrelenting Youthful Spirit.
"Our sensei's name is Might Guy," Lee declared with reverence. "In my humble opinion, he is the strongest Jonin in all of Konoha. The only one who could possibly challenge him is the genius Kakashi Hatake with his Sharingan—and even then, that's not a certainty! Our sensei has a secret weapon up his sleeve, a trump card like no other. I assure you, Tenten, when it comes to Taijutsu, there's no one better. But when it comes to everything else... well, heh-heh-heh..."
Lee's impassioned speech gradually gave way to a visible unease. He scratched his cheek and let out an awkward chuckle, slowly realizing just how difficult it would be for the perfectly rational Tenten to adjust to a mentor who had absolutely no concept of restraint—or embarrassment.
"Basically, Might Guy is weird. Very weird. But I think you'll get used to him. Probably. Someday. I hope," Lee concluded, before abruptly falling silent.
Tenten, who considered herself quite brave, suddenly felt a growing sense of unease.
And with good reason.
"HEY!"
Just as Team 3 stepped onto the rooftop, bathed in the golden morning sunlight and scattered with green fallen leaves, a booming, triumphant voice cut through the air like a battle cry.
Raising their eyes, Lee, Tenten, and Neji took in the bizarre sight before them—a man in a green jumpsuit, sporting a bowl-cut and eyebrows even thicker than Lee's, performing push-ups on his fingertips. Not just that—he was balancing perfectly, while a grinning clone sat atop his feet. And on that clone's shoulders? Yet another identical copy.
To top it all off, Lee immediately recognized the legendary training weights still strapped to Guy's legs. The very same ones from the anime. The ones that, if dropped, wouldn't just crack the earth but could very well create a crater.
"I AM Might Guy, THE GLORIOUS GREEN BEAST OF KONOHA!" the Jonin declared in unison with his clones, his voice carrying through the air like an echo of sheer, boundless energy, reaching not only the heart of an already awe-struck Lee, but even Tenten and Neji.
"Amazing, Guy-sensei!" Lee cheered, bursting into applause before taking a deep breath and flipping onto his hands to start push-ups of his own. In a fiery, determined voice, he proclaimed:
"I've been waiting for this moment for so long! Finally! It's time! The time to train in the ways of Youthful Power has come! Guy-sensei, I'm ready!"
In that instant, Rock Lee ceased to be his usual composed self. To Tenten and Neji, it felt like the overly enthusiastic, energetic version of him from last month—before his spar with Kiba Inuzuka—had returned. The one who seemed to run on batteries instead of food.
"Youthful Power, huh? You are an enlightened one, my boy, but—!"
In the blink of an eye, as if he were an illusion himself, Guy appeared beside Lee, effortlessly grabbing him by the waist and flipping him upright onto his feet with dizzying speed.
It happened so fast that neither Neji nor Tenten had time to process it. Lee, on the other hand, nearly lost his breakfast from the sudden inversion.
"No training until we properly introduce ourselves!" Guy declared with a dazzling grin, clapping Lee on the shoulder with a camaraderie so sincere it could almost be felt physically. He wasn't even remotely surprised by Lee's enthusiasm—if anything, the man himself was just as overjoyed, perhaps more than he had ever been before.
And so, the three twelve-year-olds sat down in the wooden gazebo on the rooftop, finding comfortable positions as they exhaled, while Guy stood before them with arms crossed, his expression equal parts serious and comically intense. After a moment, he cleared his throat and broke the oddly charged silence:
"Alright! It's never a bad idea to introduce oneself twice, so listen up! I am Might Guy, official Jonin of the Hidden Leaf Village! I love training, fighting, and protecting those dear to me with the full force of my Youthful Spirit! That's me, kids. Now it's your turn! Don't be shy. Tell me about yourselves, your goals, your dreams!"
The lone girl of Team 3 took the lead, proving her courage against the silence of her two male teammates. The corners of her lips curved up slightly—self-assured, confident. And then, with a proud tone, she declared:
"My name is Tenten! My family runs a local blacksmith shop. I want to become a legendary kunoichi, as great—if not greater—than Tsunade Senju of the Three Sannin! That is both my goal and my dream, so don't you dare laugh at it!"
Guy and Lee nodded approvingly.
"Neji. From the Hyuga clan. That's all."
Neji's indifferent response, spoken with closed eyes, made Lee involuntarily snort in amusement. The irony of Neji acting so childishly aloof while he himself had just been bouncing around like an overenthusiastic karate fanatic was not lost on him.
But when it was finally Lee's turn, he spoke with a seriousness uncharacteristic for a twelve-year-old. His black eyes darkened with intensity, his voice lowering as he uttered words that carried an eerie weight:
"My name is Rock Lee. I will stand alongside the Kage—no, I will aim higher. If not today, then tomorrow. Or the day after. Through my Taijutsu, I will ensure that no war ever again threatens our fertile lands of the Fire Country, a land falsely respected yet hungrily eyed by all neighboring states. I will become the force that holds back every short-sighted fool in this world of shinobi. I will become a god—or the one who slays them. And most importantly—"
"I was just kidding! Why's everyone so quiet?" he abruptly broke off, grinning as he relaxed his stance, shattering the tension in an instant.
