Chapter 7 - Raw

"Big talk!"

"You really need to be put in place!"

Grey had succeeded in taunting the three lords who held their public image above all else. There was only one way to wipe off this loss—beat the hell out of them.

The one at the centre who had thrown the pervious strike raised his sword and rushed out to Grey, the others following suit.

CLANG!

Sparks flew as their weapons came in contact with each other. Grey's eyes flashed to the side taking note of the other two who had reached his side.

"..."

He pushed off the sword of the first lord, causing him to stumble a few steps back, while he went low, using his spear to send a wide sweep at their feet.

The two lords weren't amateurs when it came to fights either, having prepared their whole lives for this moment, there was no way they were losing to a slack like Grey who spent most of his time drinking and fooling around with women.

They both jumped, avoiding the sweep and Grey brought his spear to his back, blocking the attack of the first lord who had returned to join the fray.

The other two saw this as an opportunity to attack him while his front was wide open.

Grey's cold eyes flashed and he jumped off the ground, flipping over the first lord, putting him at forefront of the incoming attacks.

"What are you doing?"

The first lord screamed at the other two in alarm. He was about to be pierced by their weapons.

Grey didn't give them time to get in touch though as he pushed the first lord forward, catching them off guard.

The other two were forced to veer to the side in a desperate attempt not to kill their partner.

The second lord spun around to see a beautiful green rod with enchanting inscriptions and carvings on it. That was all his brain got to process though as the the butt of Grey's spear slammed into his face, knocking him out of the fight.

The other lord only had time to bring up his sword in time to parry against the slashing motion of Grey's spear.

"Ugh!"

He struggled as Grey applied more more force until the he had lowered the weapon to shoulder level.

In one swift step, he moved forward and pierced through his opponent's combat suit, digging itself into his shoulder.

"Arghh!"

The young lord suppressed his scream as he realized his mistake which had cost him dearly.

'Missed.'

Luckily the first lord who had been pushed away returned to the fight saving him from the pain that would have befallen him as Grey sought to push the spear in deeper.

The blade of the spear tore away from the third lord's shoulder making him wince in pain, but that was nobody's concern as Grey focused on how he could take the first lord out of the fight.

They were forbidden from killing each other in the fight, but each of them moved at him with that very intention!

CLANG!

"Ughh!"

Grey grunted as he struggled to fight against the pressure the first lord put in his strike.

BANG!

A solid kick to the gut knocked out the air in his lungs and he fell to a knee, struggling not to get sliced by the sword of the first lord.

Looking to the side, the source of the attack, he saw the second lord who had tasted the butt of his spear.

He was back in the fight.

BANG! BANG!! CLANG! CLANG!!

Grey's head shot to the side, deep blue blood flowing out his nose as he had just taken two hits from the pommel of the second lord's sword.

The first lord had given up on pushing down and was now smashing a series of heavy strikes on the body of his spear.

From the side of his eyes, he could spot the thrid lord approaching too.

From an outsiders angle, he was in a tough situation, one that was hard to get out of.

But Grey didn't panic. He knew exactly what they were trying to do by taking like that.

The first lord was viciously pounding away at his weapon aiming to break it. They had all heard back at the ancestral pool about the weapon being that of his father.

What greater way to break a warrior than to break his beliefs and point of support?

Unfortunately for him, he was still light blue when it came to the world of flight their seniors lived in.

The spear in Grey's hand wouldn't have been worthy of a high warrior if it spilt beneath the attacks of a couple of chicks.

Seeing as the third lord had finally arrived with his sword held high, ready to out Grey out of his misery.

Watching all this from the side, Nolan smiled.

'Always a show off as always!'

Grey narrowed his eyes as their actions slowed down before his eyes. He could feel as his sweat trailed down from his head past his eyes, down his neck.

Taking this moment of clarity, Grey moved!

He ignored the attack of the first and third lords coming from above and beside him, dropping completely to the floor with his hands as support as he swept wide with his legs, toppling both lords and Grey used them as support, pushing himself off the side of the first lord to jump into the air.

During his flip which the second lord hadn't anticipated, he struck, hitting the shoulder of the second lord causing his sword to fall off the injured arm.

SLICE!

"Arghhh!"

The blade of Grey's spear flashed the moment his landed as his weapon sliced across the heels of the second lord, rendering him immobile.

He was completely done with the fight now that he couldn't even stand up or raise a sword.

"Ughh!"

The third lord let out another pained grunt as Grey spun around and threw the weapon at him like javelin.

He didn't even have the time to dodge the spear coming at high speeds before his right shoulder had been pierced through, pinning him to the wall of the stage a few meters back.

He was also out of commission for the rest of the night.

Grey took his narrowed eyes and locked onto the figure of the first lord who now had an expression of fear surfacing on his face.

Grey smiled smugly seeing this as he wiped the dark blue blood off his nose before running out to meet the first lord.

SWOOSH!!

Grey dodged the blade which came dangerously close to his face, feeling the cold air caress his pale skin as his cheek split to reveal a small cut and a few stands of his gray hair fell off.

Grey grabbed the first lord's forearm preventing him from making any moves with his weapon.

Looking him dead in his eyes, Grey unleashed the clenched fist at his side, embedding it deeply in the gut of his opponent.

"Ughh!"

The first lord groaned in pain, spittle coming out of his mouth, but he was far from redemption as Grey grabbed his right arm with his send arm and brought it down forcefully.

CRACK!

The sound was crisp and clear as he smashed the first lord's arm in his raised knees, breaking the arm while ignoring the spasm of pain that went through the lord's body as he shook in pain.

Grey grabbed his head with his two hands and sent in a devastating headbutt, the dull sound of their skulls smashing against each other traveling through the arena.

Next, he used his fist, sending a series of puches to the gut of the first lord while holding him up with his hair.

THUD!

The sound came as the body of the first lord slid to the ground, but Grey hadn't had enough yet. He knew well enough what kind of race they, Theo, were. It was best to see this to the end and make sure things had been done right before shifting his attention.

Grey got down to his knees, straddling the first lord as he began to send punch after punch straight at the face of the first lord who was too stunned to fight back.

BANG! BANG!! BANG!!

There were several fight going on in the arena, but a vast majority of the audience present and those watching from their convenient spots were focused on Grey.

Some of the other battles in the arena had paused as they turned to watch with suprise on their faces as the young lords were being decimated by Grey

'Tch! Failures!'

Alex clicked his tongue in distaste seeing what Grey had made of those three he had sent earlier.

As the crowd watched on as Grey took his time with the first lord, making sure he was no longer capable of being a threat, they viewed him not with favorable eyes.

Instead the looked distastefully at the other three that had been schooled by Grey.

How had they lost to someone like Grey who was known for how much he slacked off?

Grey ignored those stares on his back as he stood up and approached the body of the third lord he had pinned to the wall with his spear.

He extended his hand, coated with dark blue blood which wasn't his, and grabbed the weapon, pulling it out of the third lord's shoulder causing him to slide to the ground.

Turning around, Grey coukd feel the fatigue cry through his bones. He was completely exhausted. Unlike those three, he had no runes, no ancestral blessing. He was just an ordinary Theo, but that didn't mean much to him as he turned around slowly.

A cold light flashed through his gray eyes as he raised his spear up and pointed the tip straight at Alex.

"How amusing!"

The King smiled seeing the interesting turn of events.
