BOOM!...
The atmosphere of the room took an intense turn, the normal looking High Priestess had changed into something fierce, the pressure emitting from her was overwhelming, putting those in the room into an almost panic state. Except for the baby in the craddle who was looking excited, either that or her natural looking face was really...interesting.
Immediately everyone in the room bowed their heads, or it would be better to say their heads took a deep bow on its own as though it was the most natural thing to do.
This was the cost of using her ability 'Hear and Show', or rather, the effect.
After she 'hears' she can also 'show ' what she's heard, and that came with what it came with.
Having access to the Unreached Realms was no joke, and whoever was at the other side always made sure that message was well passed.
"WHEN MIGHT LEAVES STRENGTH AND THE GLOW BRINGS CRIMSON ONCE AGAIN, WOULD BLOOD FLOW FROM THE BORNS OF NATURE"
As though cold air blew through the Aclove, the intense pressure came to a halt along with the end of her words.
Intuitively everyone in the room turned their worried gazes to the child in the craddle. As their worried gazes fell on her, it immediately turned into shock. Especially Rebi, whose eyes were almost bulging.
One had to understand that, despite being fellow awakeners, the ability of the High Priestess was levels above theirs, and to top it all, her Lines came with divine presence, that even they would shudder at it, especially being in such close proximity.
To be having such carefree expression, even looking excited, or was it how her face normally was? To be so unaffected, are you sure she wasn't a Higher Doyen and they, squirming disciples that were still wet behind ears?
Noticing their awful expressions, "She's unaffected by my Lines..." she chuckled "...she even finds them exciting"
Their faces contorted. Exciting, exciting, did she say exciting? What sort of monster did they have in their midst, it was also wise to note that she was barely 3 moons old, and that was a quarter year. What in the moons, was she excited about? Did she even know the word?
"Ahem" Morriba cleared her throat to get everyone's attention back to topic.
Her child was a topic for another day, she was even more shocked when she found out that her child reacted this way to her Lines, and it was best to not ask what she was doing when she found this out.
"Ahem..." They all joined suit, as they recollected to their previous grand demeanor befitting their status.
Morriba focused her gaze on Nicoah. It was time for her to do her thing.
Nicoah took deep breaths, her eyes closed. And Boom, her eyes opened, her milky white iris, turned blue as her Lines tried to pry into this truth.
Before long, she began to break down in cold sweat and the look of struggle ached on her normally composed face.
And with it came drops of blood, like tears coming out her eyes. Seeing the streams of blood leave Nicoah's eyes, Pemah tried using her healing Lines on her. But it caused an unforeseen reaction, blowing her away, causing her to crash into the smooth walls.
"Pff..." the sound of blood leaving her mouth could be heard.
"Ahh..." The sound of pain escaped Nicoah's lips, before she could even properly react to her situation. She could barely make sense of it. Her insight had never put her in this sort of situation before, causing this sort of pain, as if her eyes were being pierced by hot needles, and her head as if being sat on by some bull.
The more she tried to pry, the more it felt like some force were hindering her, causing her pain instead.
Making heads of the situation, Morriba moved in to grab hold of Nicoah, whilst Hana and Rebi moved to the rescue of Pemah, who was still spewing blood.
"STOP!"
As if pulled out of moddy waters, the voice of Morriba, brought Nicoah back to earth.
Her eyes went back to their opaque state, leaving blood to flow down her cheeks.
The face of Morriba seemed to have lost whatever color it had.
She had thought with everyone around, the result would be different.
Well it seemed she now understood what "DO NOT PRY" meant. She had thought with Nicoah's Insight, things might have been easier. Plus they were at the Aclove.
She scoffed" Guess somethings remain mysteries"
"Not...entirely" Nicoah spoke in-between gaps, as she tried catching her breath.
"The royal blood"
Everyone's brows furrowed in contemplation.
"What about it?" Morriba asked.
Nicoah took deep breaths. "I do not know. But whatever is coming" she looked into the eyes of Morriba "comes after the take of royal blood"
Helping Pemah up, they came closer.
Hana: "Seems we need to see the King"
Morriba nodded. They all knew the meaning of the last part of her Hear. Everyone also knew the only borns of nature were the Mystic beings.
What was left, was what was left.
Turning her eyes again to the craddle, Rebi felt she was now seeing things. This little one was all smiley, or was she?
