[Lunch Time]
Katsuki Bakugou always preferred to be by himself more than the average individual; it wasn't like he didn't want friends or the sort, it's just that all his friends from all the way from grade school to high always just raved on about his quirk and what a great hero he would be.
They are more like henchmen or groupies because he never really considered them to be his friends, just annoying pests that buzzed around him purely for the sake of meaningless social status at school.
Well, they weren't all pests; there was one person he thought of as his friend, even though, at the time, he never realized it.
The young man retrieved his lunch and went to sit in the far corner of the cafeteria, ensuring that he would get his alone time.
After taking his seat and placing his plate on the desk, he began eating silently, keeping a neutral expression on his face.
After a couple of spoonfuls of the food, he quickly took out a wi-fi router and his phone, turned the router on, and connected to the wi-fi. UA University does offer free wifi-fi to its students; however, Bakugou didn't want the school somehow accessing his search history, plus the free wi-fi came with restrictions.
"self-righteous piece of shit"
He whispered to himself as he began to search for the name "Izuku Midoriya." He did not even have to fully type in the name as it was the first thing that appeared in his search bar history.
After clicking on it, the search revealed a few articles detailing the disappearances. However, Bakugou had already read those, and what he was looking for were police reports or any type of sightings.
Izuku was childhood friends with Bakugou, and the two boys always seemed to be together all the way from elementary to the first year of high school.
Unfortunately, Katsuki never seemed to treat the boy with any form of respect or friendship; after all, Izuku was quirkless, but for some reason, Katsuki and Izuku had so much in common.
Both love All Might, both played the same all-might-based games, had the same All Might poster, and had the same All Might trading cards. In fact, they both had the same All Might pajamas. Under the right circumstances, the two boys would have been best friends.
However, despite their similarities, they still had differences; Bakugou was far more popular and constantly received praise for his quirk, always being told he was destined to be a hero.
Izuku was the opposite; he had no quirk and was never popular, and people constantly told him he would never be a hero. Izuku, however, would continue to want to be a hero regardless, and because of that desire, the young man had Something Katsuki never had.
Kindness and humility.
Izuku Midoriya was the type to help despite not having the power to do so, always extending his hand whenever, and it didn't matter if you needed it or not.
This was one of the driving forces behind why Katsuki hated him so much back then.
"Why don't you go swine dive off the roof, Deku!!"
Those words flashed on his mind, and he curled his toes and groaned. He felt the intense repercussions of those words.
"You fucking piece of Shit!"
He whispered to himself again as he tightened his fist intense anger and disgust.
"Woah! Bakugou you're here already? And almost done too, that's fast"
Kirishima expressed and placed his tray of food on the table.
"No way he showered properly if he's here this early, I bet he didn't wash his ass properly"
"That's gross, Taro. Don't mention ass while we're about to eat."
Denki chastised Taro, he felt his appetite for the food go down.
"What? It's true, no way he washed every bit and still got here fast enough to be halfway through his food"
Taro reasoned as he chuckled lightheartedly.
"What do you guys want?!"
Bakugou questioned, his voice conveying his displeasure at their arrival.
"Wow you didn't call us losers or bastards, even you have manners"
Taro commented sarcastically, choosing to ignore the typical attitude he'd come to expect from the blonde teen, although he couldn't really say he hated the guy, he was interesting.
"We came here to eat with you, dude."
"Plus, all the other desks are full, and your angry face scared off anyone who wanted to approach."
Taro added to Kirishima's answer to the blonde's question, and his comment only served to make Katsuki growl in anger.
"Whatever, do what you want"
Katsuki relented; he wasn't in the mood to tell people to fuck off, not to mention they likely won't leave regardless of what he said. Although, if he was honest, they were better than those yes-men he had back in High school.
"Anyway, the UA campus is huge"
Denki remarked as he thought back to when he had entered the school earlier; UA certainly did not lack any tall buildings.
"I know right, there are a ton of buildings and areas, as you'd expect from the number 1 hero school"
Kirishima concurred. The excitement in his voice was always clear. It was obvious to everyone that the young man was happy to be here.
"I always thought it was huge, but this blew away my expectations, I wonder if they got an arcade or something"
Denki remarked with some amazement and curiosity in his eyes. He couldn't help but feel excited about his days at UA.
"Eh! it's alright, just because something is big doesn't mean is great"
Taro expressed, not feeling that impressed by UA. This wasn't the first time he's been to a hero University. Thanks to being rich, he has had plenty of opportunities to see every university that he could.
"Don't pretend like you've seen better, you jackass"
Bakugou quickly said, not liking the snobbish attitude that Taro gave off.
"I mean, I have"
Taro responded with a shrug, not really caring about whether Bakugou believed him or not.
"No, you haven't, UA is the best Hero University in Japan. Obviously, it's going to be better than every other hero school out there"
Bakugou spoke. He definitely disagreed with such a sentiment, and he could see that the other two shared his sentiment as well
"I mean, if you're poor and can't travel to see other schools, then just say that"
Taro mocked with a grin on his face before shrugging his shoulders again he ate his lunch, knowing full well that his attitude was going to piss off the guy with anger issues.
"You think you're better than us because you're rich?!"
"Nah Kirishima and Denki are cool, I'm just better than you"
Taro expressed such a statement with a confident smirk, and Kirishima could not help but heave a sigh, feeling that between these two, arguments were going to be a common thing, and Denki felt the same.
...
A/N: so I was thinking of an avatar fanfic, where a bunch of friends get born in the avatar universe during the event of legends of Korra, each of them are born different nations and have a devil fruit abilities.
like the guy born in the fire nation has the flare flare fruit, the guy born in the earth kingdom, has the quake quake or the magma fruit and the guy born in the water tribes has the ice fruit.
I think it would be interesting, like we have one of them be a huge korra hater and another a Korra defender and the othet guy would be most neutral and always sick of their bs.
