Chapter 1 - Across the ocean of love

Ethan lived in London, where the rain tapped against his window like a quiet melody. He was a dreamer, a writer who found beauty in the smallest things—like the way autumn leaves swirled in the wind or how the Thames shimmered under the city lights. But despite the charm of his world, something was missing.

On the other side of the world, in Tokyo, Hana lived among cherry blossoms and neon lights. She was an artist who painted emotions she couldn't always put into words. She loved colors, sunsets, and the soft hum of the city at night. But she, too, felt an emptiness she couldn't explain.

Their worlds collided on an online forum about literature. It started with a comment—Hana praised one of Ethan's poems, and he replied with gratitude. One message led to another, and soon, they were exchanging emails, then voice messages, then late-night video calls.

Ethan learned that Hana laughed with her whole heart and loved stargazing even though she lived in a city where the stars were barely visible. Hana discovered that Ethan drank too much coffee and had a habit of doodling in the margins of his notebooks.

Despite the miles between them, they fell in love.

But love was complicated.

"I wish I could be there," Ethan confessed one night. His voice was soft, almost broken.

"I do too," Hana whispered. "But we're an ocean apart."

Yet love has a way of defying distance.

One day, Ethan surprised Hana with a letter in the mail—a real one, written on paper. Inside was a plane ticket to London.

Her heart pounded as she read his words. Come if you can. I'll be waiting.

Tears blurred her vision. It wasn't an easy decision. But love had already chosen for her.

When Hana stepped out of Heathrow Airport, she felt the cold London air wrap around her. And then, there he was—Ethan, standing with a bouquet of wildflowers, his eyes shining with a warmth that melted all the distance that had ever been between them.

They stood there for a moment, staring, memorizing every detail, before he finally whispered, "You're real."

Hana laughed, touching his face as if to make sure he was real too.

And in that moment, across all the oceans and time zones, they knew—love had brought them home.
