Chapter 158 I'm Just Showing Off, So What?

Zhang Mou's eyes were full of anticipation. He looked at his phone and waited quietly.

Yesterday's nutritious meal tasted incredible, and its effects were astonishing.

This time, the message clearly stated that it was a perfect dish cooked by Jiang Tian.

What would it taste like? What kind of effects would it have?

Would it be like ascending to heaven?

He didn't have to wait long before he received an entry request on his mobile phone.

Zhang Mou was surprised when he clicked on the application and saw the applicant's information.

The person requesting entry to his dormitory was actually Jiang Tian himself.

Zhang Mou quickly approved the application and looked toward the door.

At the same time, Jiang Tian, who had just received permission to enter, walked toward Dormitory No. 3.

Dormitory No. 3 was a certain distance from Dormitory No. 1, where Jiang Tian stayed, and from Xue Ruyan's Dormitory No. 2. They couldn't see each other.

The layout also had its own characteristics. Upon entering the yard and looking at the Dao Pattern Spirit Tree, it was clear that it was slightly inferior.

Not long after, Jiang Tian stepped into the room and entered the master bedroom where Zhang Mou was lying.

Upon entering, Jiang Tian saw Zhang Mou lying in bed, his leg still in a cast.

The plastered leg was secured in a cylindrical medical device flashing green light.

It appeared to be a machine used to stimulate bone healing.

"Boss Jiang, why did you come here in person?" Zhang Mou said quickly. "You broke my leg yourself, so I can't exactly get up and greet you."

Zhang Mou's tone wasn't resentful; it was more like a joke between friends.

Jiang Tian smiled, set the table beside Zhang Mou, and took out a dish from his space ring. "The staff on campus don't have space rings, so they wouldn't be able to ensure the best condition of the dish."

Then, Jiang Tian placed a massive bowl on the table and lifted the lid.

Swish!

In an instant, a dazzling light burst out, nearly blinding Zhang Mou, who was close by.

Zhang Mou squinted, blinking rapidly. After a moment, his vision cleared, and he focused on the large bowl in front of him—so large it was practically a basin.

Inside was a pig's trotter with flame-like color patterns. Its red skin and white meat looked almost translucent.

The rich, dark broth coating it was thick, and the aroma wafting from it made his salivary glands go into overdrive.

"Is this... the perfect dish?" Zhang Mou couldn't help but exclaim as he rubbed his eyes.

Was it a hallucination?

Some kind of illusion created by a formation?

No, based on what he had observed about Jiang Tian, he wasn't the type to pull tricks like that.

Even though Zhang Mou's understanding of Jiang Tian was still shallow, he was certain the other party wasn't someone who would exaggerate.

Jiang Tian took cooking very seriously. That much was evident from the fact that he personally delivered the dish to ensure it was in the best possible condition.

Jiang Tian was a very sincere person.

Even if that sincerity had come in the form of a broken leg, Zhang Mou still trusted him.

"A perfect dish that glows..." Zhang Mou muttered before taking a deep breath, steeling himself for what was surely a life-changing meal.

The moment the first bite entered his mouth, Zhang Mou was completely overwhelmed.

Almost instantly, he felt as if he had been transported into a blazing inferno.

In his mind, countless red pig people were dancing around him. It was a bizarre, almost surreal scene.

Yet, instead of feeling alarmed, Zhang Mou only felt his emotions surge with excitement.

Instinctively, he used his blood energy to form blood balls, bombarding the red pig people and blowing them to pieces.

At the exact moment this fantasy scene unfolded, Zhang Mou swallowed the chewed pig's trotter meat.

And then he was lost in the meal.

At that point, he wasn't thinking about anything else—only eating.

His speed picked up as he devoured the dish in front of him, finishing the entire pot of flame crystal pig's trotters along with the rice.

Although he didn't have Jiang Tian's monstrous digestion ability, his cultivation had significantly improved, giving him a much larger appetite than before.

Boom!

Suddenly, Zhang Mou felt a surge of heat rush through his body as a powerful wave of blood energy burst forth.

Itchiness!

His entire body felt unbearably itchy, especially in his legs, as if something was growing at an accelerated rate.

Buzz, buzz, buzz!

At that moment, the medical device securing his leg activated at full power. Zhang Mou looked down and saw the machine's indicator flashing rapidly.

Medical devices were just an aid—if the body lacked sufficient nutrients, the machine's frequency would remain fixed.

But now, Zhang Mou's body was in a state of overnutrition.

Jiang Tian stood up and said, "Practice your introductory method. I'll leave the bowl here. Just remember to return it to the special cafeteria later."

With that, Jiang Tian turned to leave, but then paused. He glanced back at Zhang Mou. "How do you feel after eating?"

At that moment, Zhang Mou's face was flushed red, and sweat beaded on his forehead.

His legs had transitioned from an itchy sensation to outright pain as they rapidly healed.

But when Jiang Tian asked, Zhang Mou gritted his teeth through the discomfort and forced a smile. He gave a thumbs-up. "Boss Jiang, I'm lucky to have the chance to eat your cooking. It's amazing."

Seeing Zhang Mou's sincere admiration, Jiang Tian's expression brightened, and he left the dormitory.

After Jiang Tian left, Zhang Mou continued to endure the strange combination of pain and itchiness as his legs healed.

But...

He forced himself to endure it and began practicing his cultivation method.

He believed that once he overcame this, the benefits would be enormous.

Once immersed in practice, time passed quickly.

Before he knew it, from 6:36 in the morning when he finished his meal, it was already 4:21 in the afternoon when Zhang Mou finally finished his cultivation and checked the time.

"So much time has passed!" Zhang Mou was shocked. He looked down at his legs and hesitantly moved them.

They were fine?

Zhang Mou's eyes widened in disbelief. He carefully got out of bed, took a few steps, and confirmed that there was no pain.

He circulated his blood energy, tested some movements, and realized that even light sparring wouldn't be a problem.

By tomorrow, he would be fully recovered.

Zhang Mou then checked himself carefully, and his eyes filled with excitement.

"My strength has improved significantly! Just my meridian tempering alone has increased by about three percent!"

Zhang Mou was so thrilled that he threw a few wild punches in the air.

Three percent might not seem like much, but it was actually an enormous gain.

If he had relied solely on normal cultivation, it would have taken him at least ten days to achieve this—at best, seven days with high-efficiency training.

But now, all it took was a single meal.

And there were no side effects!

Realizing this, Zhang Mou could no longer hold back his excitement. He rushed to the cloakroom, took a selfie in front of the full-length mirror, and sent it to the freshman group chat.

Zhang Mou: [The sun is shining brightly now. Classmates, is there anything I can improve about my outfit?]
