Chapter 165 Let Me Show You the Ability of My Beloved Disciple

Jiang Tian was curious, while Zhou Shang was extremely nervous, watching his wife closely.

Mulan didn't speak at first. She simply sat on the bed, lost in thought.

After a while, she finally broke the silence. "This room is too cold. It's not a place for conversation," she said.

"Let's go outside and talk somewhere warmer."

With that, Mulan got out of bed, slipped on her rarely used slippers, and walked out of the room on her own.

Jiang Tian followed her without hesitation, heading toward the outer room.

But he also noticed Zhou Shang's expression—his teacher was visibly emotional.

Clearly, the simple act of Mulan walking out of the cold room carried significant meaning.

After leaving the freezing chamber and closing the door, Zhou Shang saw his wife standing by the window, gazing outside.

The evening sunlight illuminated Mulan's smiling face as she looked into the distance, lost in thought.

Zhou Shang's cautious expression remained. Slowly, he asked, "Lan'er, how do you feel? Are you… are you okay?"

"Of course not," Mulan replied, shaking her head. "The fire poison is still there, and it's even a little stronger than before."

She left the window and sat down on the living room sofa.

Jiang Tian and Zhou Shang followed, sitting across from her, waiting for her explanation.

Mulan continued, "The fire poison has indeed intensified, but at the same time, I feel like I can finally breathe."

"At least for this month, as long as I don't engage in battle, I can live like a normal person. I won't need to sleep so much anymore."

Zhou Shang's face lit up. "Really?"

Mulan nodded. "Of course. You think I'd joke about this?" She patted his hand reassuringly.

Then she turned to Jiang Tian, her expression serious. "Thank you, child. You've given me hope again."

Jiang Tian saw the renewed vitality in Mulan's eyes and felt genuinely happy for her. "I'm glad I could help, Master's Wife."

"But what exactly happened?" Zhou Shang asked, still not fully understanding.

Mulan explained, "You know my situation. I can't cultivate. My body can only instinctively burn fire poison with its own blood energy."

"Over time, the fire poison has grown stronger. With no external help, I was just waiting to be consumed completely."

"I tried miracle elixirs before, but they only made things worse. They nourished the fire poison instead of helping me. I had given up hope."

"But Xiao Jiang's food was different. After eating it, I could feel the warmth spreading through my blood. It was unlike anything I've experienced before."

"The fire poison absorbed that energy, refining itself further. But the blood energy from the food didn't get consumed—it stayed with me, nourishing my body instead."

"Somehow, in the eyes of the fire poison, Jiang Tian's blood energy seemed like its own kind. It didn't devour it. Instead, it allowed me to finally exert control over it."

"With the help of this external energy, I was able to force my body to circulate my cultivation technique again. I finally broke free from the state where the fire poison completely shackled me."

"Now, as long as I continue eating this kind of food, I should be able to sustain myself for at least a month before my condition worsens again."

Zhou Shang listened carefully and finally understood.

His wife had been at a dead end, unable to fight back against the fire poison.

But Jiang Tian's cooking had introduced an external force—a new variable.

This had disrupted the fire poison's absolute control over her body and given her a chance to fight back.

Even if the fire poison wasn't gone yet, this was a new path, a breakthrough.

Jiang Tian nodded, smiling. "If that's the case, then the solution is simple."

"Teacher, can you find some aliens with cold or water attributes? If we cook them properly, maybe they can completely counteract Master's Wife's fire poison."

"The best way is through food therapy—strengthen her body, help her slowly recover, and then let her use her own strength to grind away the poison over time."

Zhou Shang's eyes lit up. He slapped his thigh and exclaimed, "That's a brilliant idea! Maybe the fire poison is confused because of the properties of your food."

"If we use cold or water-attributed alien ingredients, we might be able to neutralize the fire poison!"

After seeing his wife's condition improve and hearing Jiang Tian's idea, Zhou Shang was filled with excitement.

Mulan, on the other hand, looked astonished. "Wait… Are you saying the ingredients in the food I just ate… were from an alien race?"

She narrowed her eyes in realization. "The braised pig's trotters I ate… were they made from the Red Pig Tribe of the Red Realm?"

Her tone had shifted completely.

Now that her condition had improved, her energy had returned, and she was much more animated.

Jiang Tian nodded. "Master's Wife is sharp. The dish was indeed made from the Red Pig Tribe."

Mulan was shocked. "You're telling me you cooked an alien?"

She had spent years fighting against the Red Realm's alien races.

The fire poison in her body had come from the Red Realm King.

And now, the thing that had given her a chance to recover… also came from the Red Realm?

The irony was almost poetic.

When Mulan looked at Jiang Tian again, her gaze had changed.

Before, she saw him as nothing more than her husband's beloved disciple—a junior, a child.

But now, she saw something else.

Someone who could cook alien flesh without poison.

Someone who could create food that had miraculous effects.

A talent unlike any the human race had ever seen.

"Incredible," Mulan murmured.

She now understood why Zhou Shang valued this disciple so much.

"In fact, this child is more than just that…" Zhou Shang said, sighing deeply.

He turned to Jiang Tian and smirked.

"Disciple, how about showing your Master's Wife just how talented you really are?"

"Don't worry. Even if she recovers fully in the future, she'll risk her life to protect you."

Jiang Tian chuckled.

During this short time together, he had already felt Mulan's warmth.

Though she had been calm and accepting of death before, she now had a reason to live.

"I don't mind," Jiang Tian said. "There's nothing to hide from Master's Wife."

Hearing that, Zhou Shang turned to his wife, grinning mischievously.

"Lan'er, let me show you what kind of monster my beloved disciple is."

Mulan raised an eyebrow, intrigued.

She had no idea what was coming next.
