Chapter 33 - CHAPTER 33

Nosepass, let's go first! Use Thunder Wave!"

Roxanne was the first to issue an order.

Nosepass raised its hand, and a golden Thunder Wave spread out in an arc. Because of its wide range, Treecko was quickly caught within it.

"Treecko, don't worry about it! Use Bullet Seed!"

Aoki knew it was too late to dodge and immediately gave a counter-command. If evasion was impossible, then they would fight head-on.

Treecko braced itself, ignoring the numbing sensation in its body, and spat out a barrage of glowing green seeds.

Boom!

The Bullet Seed struck Nosepass directly, forcing it back a step as it let out a pained growl.

"Nosepass, endure it! I believe in you—you can take this attack!"

Roxanne's voice rang with encouragement.

Nosepass clenched its rocky body, bracing itself against the onslaught. It was a Superior-level Pokémon, standing a tier above Treecko in terms of strength, making it much harder to defeat.

Meanwhile, Treecko's body stiffened as the Thunder Wave took effect. Paralysis restricted its movements, making it difficult to react.

"Great! Treecko is paralyzed! Now, use Power Gem!"

Nosepass' hands glowed as it summoned a radiant, rock-like gem and launched it at Treecko.

"Treecko, dodge!"

But the paralysis had already taken hold. Treecko's muscles refused to respond.

Bang!

The Power Gem struck Treecko head-on, sending it tumbling across the battlefield.

"Treecko, are you alright?"

Treecko gritted its teeth and struggled to stand, trembling from the impact.

"Don't force yourself. If you need to stop, it's okay."

Aoki's voice was calm, but his concern was real.

Treecko looked up at Aoki with determined eyes.

It refused to give up.

As the youngest member of Aoki's team, Treecko had always admired Boss Lairon's strength and Combusken's resilience. It wanted to stand alongside them, not be left behind.

Aoki could feel Treecko's resolve. It wasn't just fighting for him—it was fighting for itself.

Seeing this, Roxanne nodded in admiration. She respected trainers who understood their Pokémon's emotions.

"This is what it means to be a real Pokémon Trainer," she murmured.

"Alright, Treecko! Use Energy Ball!"

Treecko pushed through the paralysis and formed a glowing green orb between its hands before launching it at Nosepass.

"Nosepass, counter it with Thunderbolt!"

Electricity crackled as Nosepass fired a powerful Thunderbolt at the incoming Energy Ball.

Boom!

The two attacks collided midair, sending shockwaves across the field.

"Treecko, use Giga Drain!"

"Nosepass, use Rock Blast!"

Treecko's body glowed green, while Nosepass' hands radiated a dull gray light.

A giant rock formed in Nosepass' grasp, hurtling toward Treecko with immense force.

But before the attack landed, Treecko leaped into the air, enveloped in green energy. The Giga Drain connected, rapidly sapping Nosepass' stamina.

Nosepass let out a deep groan, visibly weakened.

"This won't work. We need to end it fast! Nosepass, use Discharge!"

Roxanne knew that letting Giga Drain continue would mean a slow defeat.

Nosepass roared, releasing a massive burst of golden lightning that spread across the battlefield.

Treecko flinched as the electricity surged through its body.

Its grass-type nature gave it some resistance to electric attacks, but the sheer intensity of the Discharge was overwhelming.

When the attack finally subsided, Treecko knelt on one knee, panting heavily.

But its eyes remained sharp. It still wanted to fight.

Aoki clenched his fist. He could tell Treecko was at its limit.

"Treecko, use Double Team and then Giga Drain again!"

Treecko's body flickered as multiple illusory copies appeared around the battlefield.

Then, its body erupted in an even brighter green light.

Aoki's eyes widened.

"That's… Treecko's Overgrow ability?"

Roxanne gasped.

Treecko's Overgrow had activated, drastically boosting its grass-type moves.

"Nosepass, use Discharge again!"

This time, Nosepass concentrated all its remaining energy into one final Discharge, aiming directly at Treecko.

Electricity surged through the air.

Treecko responded with Giga Drain, striking Nosepass head-on.

The two Pokémon clashed in a fierce standoff—golden lightning against vibrant green energy.

Seconds passed.

And then—

Thud.

The Discharge faded.

Treecko collapsed.

It had reached its limit.

But Nosepass, though still standing, was breathing heavily.

It was exhausted.

Aoki walked forward and gently returned Treecko to its Luxury Ball.

"You did well, Treecko. Rest now."

Roxanne smiled.

"Your Treecko is incredible. Even though it hasn't evolved yet, it defeated my Geodude and pushed Nosepass to its limit."

Aoki nodded, reflecting on their journey.

His Pokémon—Treecko, Combusken, and Frogadier—all trained hard, constantly striving to become stronger.

He looked up, determination in his eyes.

"Alright… Next up, it's your turn."

Aoki grabbed another Luxury Ball and threw it.

"Let's go, Combusken!"

A flash of light revealed Combusken, standing confidently at the center of the battlefield.

Its sharp eyes locked onto Nosepass.

It was ready to fight.

"Nosepass, use Discharge again!"

Golden electricity crackled as Nosepass released another wave of energy.

Aoki smirked.

"Combusken, dodge it! Then use Sky Uppercut!"

Combusken's powerful legs propelled it forward at an incredible speed.

Its movements left afterimages in its wake.

Before Nosepass could react, Combusken was already at its side.

"No! Nosepass, dodge!"

But it was too late.

Combusken's fist, cloaked in fighting-type energy, struck Nosepass squarely under the jaw.

The impact launched Nosepass into the air before it crashed back down with a heavy thud.

Silence.

The dust settled.

Nosepass lay still.

"Incapacitated."

Roxanne sighed before smiling.

"Victory goes to Aoki."

Combusken clenched its fists, standing tall.

It had won the battle for Aoki and Treecko.
