Chapter 6: Dance with the Ravager
Leon barely had time to react before the Dreadclaw Ravager charged.
The ground trembled under its weight. Its dark scales reflected the faint glow of the cavern, making it
seem like a living shadow.
**BOOM!**
Its massive claws struck the stone where Leon had been standing seconds ago, leaving deep
cracks.
Leon exhaled, tightening his grip on his rusted sword.

Testing the Beast
The Ravager swiped at him, a blur of motion despite its size.
Leon dropped low, rolling under the attack, and swung his blade at its exposed leg.
**CLANG!**
The sword barely scratched it.
Leon's eyes narrowed.

The beast counterattacked instantly, whipping its tail around.
Leon barely raised his arms in time before the impact sent him flying. He slammed into a stone
pillar, pain shooting through his ribs.
He forced himself up, wiping blood from the corner of his mouth.
"Alright," he muttered. "Time to change tactics."
Finding the Weak Spot
Leon couldn't rely on brute force. He needed speed and precision.
The Ravager lunged again.
Instead of dodging normally, Leon moved toward the attack.
At the last second, he twisted, using the beast's momentum to slide under its arm. His sword
flashed- striking beneath its arm where the scales were thinner.
**SLASH!**
Dark blood sprayed from the wound.
The Ravager howled in fury, staggering back.
Leon smirked. "So you do have weaknesses".
The fight turned into a deadly dance.
The Ravager's claws tore through the air-Leon weaved between them.
It stomped down-he leaped onto its arm, slashing at its joints. Each wound weakened it.
Finishing Move
The moment the Ravager staggered, Leon pressed his palm against its open wound.
"Energy Drain!"
Dark tendrils lashed out, sinking into the beast's flesh. The Ravager convulsed, its strength flowing into Leon.

Leon felt his wounds close slightly. His muscles grew denser.
The Ravager, now weakened, swayed on its feet. Leon dashed forward. With a final leap, he drove his sword into its skull. The beast twitched-then collapsed.
Victory and Growth
Leon stood over the fallen monster, breathing heavily.
He had won.
A notification flashed.
