With the man gone, Neo had time to plan his next move.
It helped that he was the only person in the building.
There was nothing important here aside from disposing of corpses, which explained the lack of security.
"So much blood," he muttered, touching his chin. "If they find a body here tomorrow, it'll cause a commotion."
The last thing he needed was for the people running this place to launch an investigation.
He exhaled. "I should hide all traces. Make them think they just disappeared."
Leaving a mess behind would only bring trouble. He needed to clean up—at least enough to delay suspicion.
Stepping into the hallway, he scanned his surroundings.
Near the stairwell, a janitor's closet caught his eye. He pulled the door open.
Shelves lined the walls, stocked with cleaning supplies—bleach, rags, a mop resting against the corner.
As he reached for it, something caught his eye. A folded black bag sat on the bottom shelf, half-hidden behind old towels.
'A body bag.'
