Apex predators born out of mana came in various forms and shapes, Zutures, Mana Beasts and Night Crawlers, named by their difference and strength, Zurtures being the weakest amongst the named predators.
They're still ten times stronger than the average human
But the strongest amongst the apex predators are the nightmares, entities created from the deepest hatred of the world, born to be the destruction of world itself.
Giant monsters who brought about the end of everything, if they existed in the human world, humanity would be on the verge of extinction!
While there are stages to the existence of nightmares, this ones are at their first stage of evolution!

Bang!
Slammed into the ground, waves of shock erupted, he could feel his bones screaming out, groaning intensely, he crawled out of the area he crashed into.
Evading the pincers of the nightmare!
Its screeches echoed, covering the atmosphere as it redrew back it's pincers, turning it's gaze against Riley!
Riley spat out bloods from his mouth, he was sent slamming into the ground with just a single attack, staring down at his arms...he noticed his arms shaking with intensity, he firmly gripped his arms.
" Tch, fighting one is nearly impossible and there's ten of them here "
" How can I possibly do it? " He asked himself!
His eyes squinted, the third attack of the nightmare came through, a giant scorpion like monster with fourteen legs, and four pincers, Riley supersped!
Its back were armored like, nearly impregnable!
Evading the pincers attacking him from every direction, a stinger was shot at him, he swiftly bent aside, escaping the pressure of the stinger.
He released his man, enhancing his speed with his mana when he supersped, covering distance between himself and the nightmare!
Throwing a fist against the nightmare but he was slammed into the ground again, unable to evade like before, the nightmare's stinger pierced through his chest, causing him to scream out in pains!
His teeths grittted intensely!
Struggling to pull out the stinger of the nightmare before it released every venom it had into his body!
But he was swung into the air, floating across space itself!
The scorpion fired it's stinger once again, expanding it's length when it pierced through his torso, slamming Riley into the ground once again, this time he could hear the sounds of his bones breaking!
A loud sigh escaped his lips!
Unable to move an inch from the ground, he laid back.....his eyes watched as the nightmare approached him, it's loud screeches drew closer, the effects of the venom began to take effects!
Riley's skin darkened, he could feel his blood boiling, his limbs were immobilized, suffering from the fall damage, all his bones were fractured....
The shadows of the nightmare drew closer, enveloping him in its shadow, the nightmare stretched forth it's pincer, grabbing Riley as it lefted him into the air!
Staring directly into the eyes of Riley!
It tightened it's grib, causing Riley to scream out in pains as he felt his body being torn apart by the pincer, he fueled his fists with his mana, he struggled....
Using his arms to pull away the grib of the pincer from tearing him completely in half, despite his bones being fractured, he struggled.....not wanting to die in an unknown land!
A land groan erupted!
He spat out bloods from his mouth, his skin became pale as a result of the nightmare's venoms deep rooted into his flesh, his eyes and nose bled!
But the more he pulled the grip of the pincers away from his waist, the more it added power to its grip!
Breaking the bones of Riley, it slammed Riley into the ground!
Riley coughed out bloods from his mouth, he turned his back....his legs were immobilized, with his bones fractured by the fall damage, he could barely even move an inch!
Struggling to move away, he crawled!
Coughed out bloods from his mouth, he couldn't get far away from the nightmare when it directed it's stingers against Riley, piercing his spines with the stingers once again!
Riley gnashed his teeths, he screamed out.....his spines ruptured, drowned in his own pool of bloods, his eyes blurred.... watching his life being drained out of him!
His face fell on his own bloods!
" Tch, why am I always dying at the hands of monsters? can't I die a normal death? a human death? " He asked himself, he could not move an inch, he had not a single power over his body again!
With every inch of his body damaged by the extreme attacks of the nightmare.

His summon Alpha remained standing on a mountain top, watching everything from above with her arms folded, her eyes squinted as she gazed at her summoner in such a dire situation.
If her summoner dies then she returns back, dead just like always.
She felt tensed, her body tried forcing her to move, to destroy the nightmare and protect her summoner but she couldn't, she needed him to get stronger.
The shadows of a nightmare covered her from behind, it's growl erupted, tilting her gaze, she stared directly against one eyed giant, grey skinned and four armed.
Slowly approaching the direction of Alpha, a sigh escaped her lips.
" I'm not in a good mood right now so buzz off, I only give warning once, if you don't then...." She was interuppted by the charging giant, it threw it's punches against her, hitting her with intense pressure.
Waves of shock was unleashed.
Alpha remained standing, unshakened by the attack, her body glowed, directing a back handed punch, the nightmare was shattered into pieces, it's flesh ripped apart by the punch of the battle queen!
" I warned you " She uttered, returning her gaze back to her summoner.
" Please don't die! " She muttered!
[Meanwhile]
The scorpion shaped nightmare lifted the body of Riley into the air with its stingers, staring directly at the blood dripping body, Riley couldn't even move his fingers and he was slammed once again!
The impact sent him crashing directly into the ground.
He coughed out bloods from his mouth!
This was the final attack, the entirety of his body was destroyed, pummeled by the nightmare, he blacked out, drowned in the endless darkness once again, all he gazed at was the endless darkness!
[Hmph, dead again? how are you going to fulfill your death when all you do is die, little one ]
His eyes widened in shock, recognizing this voice.....a force pulled him into the depths of a black sea, drowned into the endless water, he turned his gaze to see thousands of sharks scattered around him!
" Whe....where am I? " He asked himself!

Riley turned his gaze, he was met with the gaze of the sharks floating around, struggling to breath in this vast sea, he noticed a charging force, the sharks created a path for it and it came charging.
A black shark with a red cross marked on its forehead!
It opened it's jaws, devouring Riley whole.
Returning back to the real world, a groan escaped his lips, gently opening his half lidded eyes, he could feel his bones restructuring themselves back, he wounds healed and he could move his limbs!
A voice rang out within him, the voice deep rooted in his soul.
A voice only accessible to all who awakened their mana and Talents, the soul voice!

The nightmare witnessing this growled out loud, it swunged it's pincers against Riley, aiming to rip him apart within seconds, a force stopped the attacks!
Riley's eyes widened in shock!
His gaze were fixed on a beautiful damsel seen standing before him, two black horns were spotted on her, with her green dragon eyes glowing brightly, a smirk escaped her lips!
She twisted the pincers, tossing the nightmare into the sky!
" Dragon Magic: Critical Purge! "
The nightmare exploded, completely obliterated by the dragon magic, she turned her gaze, staring directly at Riley, a smile appeared on her lips when she fell on her knees with her head bowed before him!
