Aurora nodded vigorously, turning back toward the stage.
She didn't see the way he was still looking at her.
Didn't see how his world had just shifted. She didn't see how he swallowed a breath of relief, as if he had been waiting the whole night to hear her say that.
And he knew, without a doubt—this wasn't just a concert. Aurora finally calmed down when Gorgeous performance finished. Two girls smiled at her, and gave her their bracelet.
"Why are they sharing bracelets?" Tim asked, completely clueless.
"It's a friendship bracelet." Aurora replied with a smile, and she gave the girls one of hers each.
A second later, the opening chords of Long Live rang through the stadium, and Aurora froze.
For a split second, she just stood there, her chest rising and falling rapidly, her eyes blown wide as if the world had just shifted beneath her feet.
