EMILY POV
I couldn't leave Sarah alone like this. I knew in my mind that I needed to help her, but I needed to know who did this to her.
"Who did this to you and why?" I asked, my heart beating fast as I watched Sarah's facial expression change from fear to confusion.
She moved closer to me, her voice barely above a whisper, filled with fear and concern. "Princess, you can't understand now, but you need to run away as fast as you can from this place. When it's time, you will understand everything."
When I heard her urgent tone, I felt a heavy weight on my body. My heart was racing fast, making my hands trembling; I could feel the lump on my throat. I didn't know whether to run away like she said or try to talk to Eron.
I couldn't believe that Eron would do this to her, but I have known Sarah since I was a kid, and I needed to believe her and help her.
Even if I wanted to escape, we needed to escape together.
I saw all the panic in Sarah's eyes, which made my own pulse quicken. I moved a little closer to her, trying to avoid the horrible smell, searching for answers in my friend's eyes.
"We will leave here together, Sarah. I won't leave you," I said, trying to summon some courage and encourage her.
But as I was looking for something in the dimly lit room to break the cage, I found some iron beside her bed. Her room was well arranged, although I couldn't see very clearly due to the low illumination.
I could feel it, and the room smelled of fresh honey and hibiscus flowers.
I was happy to find the iron, but I hoped it would be enough to break the cage. I wanted to go out and call for help, but I couldn't trust anyone here, not after what I had witnessed just now.
"I found some iron; I hope this will break the cage," I said, encouraging her not to give up.
"Ma, just use this time to run away. This will not do anything, ma; please save yourself," she said. In her voice, I could see that she had lost some energy.
I felt a shiver run down my spine, and I was also feeling weak due to the strong energy from this place.
I couldn't understand it; this was more than just an ordinary cage. The energy and aura coming from this place were different from the one in her room.
As I used the iron in my hand to hit the lock, I felt some energy create a barrier between me and the cage, and the energy sent me flying all the way back to Esther's room. I tried to stand up; I could hear a familiar cracking sound echo throughout the room.
"My princess, are you okay?" Sarah yelled.
I groaned in pain as I was about to stand up. I knew I had already broken some bones, but I needed to help Sarah, my only friend. I didn't know when a tear fell down from my eyes.
I leaped back towards her, and I could feel the barrier; something magical was happening here.
"That lady, she's a witch. You need to go back to Arendelle; run away from here," she said, looking petrified.
I couldn't withstand the pain. I couldn't go back to our kingdom; it wasn't allowed, but what could I do? I needed to escape from this place.
"I will be back for you, Sarah, I promise," I fluttered, trying hard to hold back my tears because I didn't want her to feel down.
"Don't worry about me, princess," she interrupted, her voice trembling. "You're the main victim here,"she replied. I could feel that her voice was trembling as tears gathered in her eyes.
She forced herself to a brave smile, but I could see and feel the fear in her eyes and body. " You made a promise to me, princess, that you will find a way out. And remember you have to be strong.
The candlelight was slowly going down, and I knew it was time for me to go, but where should I stay or run away?
I looked back, tears dropping from my eyes. I watched as I was about to leave my only friend, my only family, in pain and suffering.
But there was nothing I could do that a lonely, powerless princess like me could do.
I dropped the candle on the table beside the window.
I couldn't run or walk fast because of the pain, and I knew that I needed to find a healer fast, but what could I do?
As I was trying to run, forcing myself to carry my body, I stumbled onto something and fell down.
I wished someone would come here and help me.
The only person that came to my mind was my brother; he was the only one who usually cared for me like this.
The pain was becoming more intense. The passage was dark, and no light was coming in from outside. I wondered how they built this castle; it was not like ours.
But I needed to run away. But would I leave Eron? I was just getting to know him, and he had been caring for me.
Suddenly, the atmosphere around me changed; the temperature became colder. I was freezing. 'What happened? What changed the atmosphere?' I thought to myself.
I felt like someone was watching me through the darkness, like someone was behind me and with me, but how could I know? Everywhere was dark; I couldn't see very well, and I knew I was losing too much blood.
I could feel my body soaked in my own blood. Something must have happened when the energy made me fly.
"Eron, Eron, please save me. Are you there?" I whispered, my voice barely above a whisper.
I knew he couldn't be here; he might still be at the meeting, but I couldn't run away from here, not like this. My eyes were not turning; I couldn't keep them open very well.
Through the darkness, I saw a vivid image coming towards me. The only way I could see him was by the pure white gown that shone in the darkness, moving closer to me.
"Eron, are you the one?" My voice grew dimmer every second.
My heart was beating slowly; I knew I could faint at any moment, but I wanted to see the person coming to me, but I couldn't.
"I am not Eron, but I am more than Eron. You will be safe in my care if you accept to follow me now," a cold voice said. His cold voice sent a shiver down my spine, as if he was controlling the air around him.
