Eron's POV
I didn't know how long I held Emily in my arms but I remained that way throughout the entire explosion, feeling the flames of fire dancing on my skin. I gnashed my teeth and endured the pain as I grabbed Emily and carried her, moving away from there.
Due to the explosion our path had been blocked so there was no way to proceed forward again. But then there were many paths within the tunnel so I wasn't disheartened. I decided to take one of those paths and escape from here before the situation became worse than this.
As I took Emily and ran away the tunnel continued to rumble from the aftershocks of the explosion from earlier, the puffs of dust dispelling gradually. This showed that whatever had caused the explosion was really very powerful.
