"She's too cute." A guy clenched his chest watching flowers and bubbles pop around the cute blonde who was in full bliss with an expression of a chipmunk munching on her favorite strawberry cookies.
"Might as well put something strawberry on the menu." – the president chuckles.
"I heard from sensei that whoever has the most customers would get a grand prize, but didn't know what."
"Oh, then that's all the better to work even harder!" – Yuusuke shouted grinning excitedly.
"Yeah!" – they roared in return causing Lucy and Ryosuke to wince a little.
"Probably I can get this special spray that can change a person's hair color and probably buy a lot of red-eye contacts and I shouldn't forget the fake fangs either." – she muttered to herself.
"Wouldn't it get stuck in your hair since you have blonde?" – Ryosuke raised a brow 'It'll be weird to see people that look almost like me.
"Well, it's washable and my father is the chaos dragon, since people always ask why I don't look like him, I merely took his genes of the dark side." – She looked up at him, diverting her attention from the cheering, determined group of people.
"You will find out on the day the festival starts."
"All I know is that the little ones would be more than happy to find you in a vampire costume." – he sighs making Lucy giggle.
"Hey, why not we put a special event?" – a random student suggested out loud.
"Like what?" – Ryosuke tilted his head.d
"We can't do anything over the extreme." – Yuusuke sighs, running a hand through his red hair.
"Then since Ryo-Kun and I are apparently who everyone looks up to, we can decide something ourselves if we want to attract more customers. (They all looked at the blonde who was merely smiling.) There will be a medium-size bell, once you ring it something will happen, but each time it's different, depending on how many times a person rings it."
"Are you sure, Lu-chan?" – Ema scrunched her eyebrows worriedly along with the others.
"It's fine, I want to try and win the grand prize anyways." – Ryosuke waved it off, letting them sparkle in the excitement in return. 'I hope whatever she is doing won't be the death of me', he thought, worrying about his well-being for agreeing to her proposal.
After the school day, they went home, and Lucy prepared a bento box for Masaomi like she promised to do every day when he has a late-night shift at the hospital. Happy wanted to come along with her, however, Lucy doesn't think they would allow any animals or pets in the hospital. So, he ended up staying at home playing with Julie, at first Happy was sulking with teary eyes staring at Lucy's doe-like eyes. She almost couldn't resist, but she must as Happy is seen and will be treated as a pet in this world, not as an exceed. When she entered the hospital, she happily greeted the old woman at the receptionist desk, then walked into the office where Akito was sitting on one of the chairs.
"Oh, so Aki-chan already came before me." – Lucy handed the bento box to the man who thanked her happily before sitting down between Masaomi and Akito.
"Aki-chan?" – He questioned slightly blushing
"Yep" – Lucy chuckles.
"So, how was planning for your school's festival?" – Masaomi asked eating the delicious food, moaning in its juiciness.
"Well, it was interesting, everyone was going back and forth on themes of what to do for our café until I came up with an opinion. We ended up choosing my idea, and I will prepare the outfits since the people back at home can help me." – Lucy leans on one of her arms.
"There is a grand prize for the class who gets the most customers, so we are trying our best right now."
"When is the festival?" – Akito asks finishing up his sandwich.
"It's in two days." – Lucy tilted my head, handed them a flyer they were given during class
"I may be a little different that day to help out, so don't be surprised...(they look at her confused) ...it's a secret~"
"It's nice to see you are having fun in school now?" – Masaomi smiled causing me to giggle and nod my head in agreement.
Now that I think of it, I am being pretty accepted into this world by other people without me knowing it. People who met Happy were weirded out, but getting to know him said otherwise without the talking. I have Subaru's basketball game this Friday, concert this weekend, then I head back to Fiore' Lucy sighed just thinking about her busy schedule, looking at the ground ignoring the worried looks.
'Should I visit the Fairy Tail to confirm Happy's theory about them while I'm there, or should I just ask Loke to check on their conditions?'.
"Lucy?" – a voice said snapping her out of her thoughts.
"Hn? (I looked up to see their expression) I'm fine, no need to worry, I was thinking about my plans for this month and it'll be busy."
"Oh yeah, I almost forgot we are going on that trip with the family. The family this weekend. My mom and dad can't be there due to business overseas, but they wish for me to record the performance and send it to them." – Masaomi chuckles as Lucy sent a beaming smile before grabbing her belongings and getting up.
"That's fine, well I need to do some stuff so, I will see you later at home, bye bye~"
Waving to the two doctors, she walks out of the hospital, getting into her car, driving away, Loke, who popped in to update Lucy on how everyone was doing. The games are coming up in a couple of months, and Sting wants to ask Lucy something, and she may have a theory on what it is that Sting will be asking for. Maybe she would accept or maybe not, who knows, only she knows, she just needs to see where she'll be during the school of these times. If she's not wrong, probably on school vacation, she parked her car at the university equipped in a khaki hoodie and shorts with her hair in a high ponytail.
"It's been a while since I have seen you." – Lucy squeaked in surprise after locking her car.
"You know it's not good to sneak up on people like that, Toshiro." – she pouted, turning around to find a smirking tall hunk of a man.
"I thought it'd be fun to learn some basketball and give you a flyer for my school's festival." – Lucy answered.
"Oh yeah, Subaru said you were going to the same school as his little brother and sister. When is your school festival, little one?" – he tilted his head down once Lucy handed him a flyer.
"It's in two days, so you should show up, we are trying to get as many customers as we can to get a prize from the school. My class is doing a vampire café and all of us would be in character so don't be shocked." – Lucy chuckled in amusement watching as his features grew confused.
'It's nice to talk to everyone like this, but what if the people who grow close to me don't accept me anymore when they found out the truth behind my past, my magic, or my reality. I should probably talk with mom soon once I get the communication lacrima...'
"I see, well I will try and go, I am not going to practice, plus I need to beat the other team to win that date with you." – he grins just as they stop before the doors of the basketball court.
"How could I forget?" – Lucy smacks a palm on her forehead
"I'll be there with Subaru's little sister, so I guess we will cheer on you."
"Lucy? What are you doing here? Do you need me for something?" – Subaru approaches catching their attention.
"Basketball?" – Lucy tilted her head innocently, catching the other team members' attention, he sighed before smiling helplessly, pulling her onto the court. Apparently, they were finishing up with their practice and had free time, so everyone started to crowd around Lucy and gave her multiple compliments and shoved Toshiro away for teasing her most of the time on her shortness.
Lucy bounces the ball a few times before throwing it into the air in the direction of the hoop, her eyes sparkled with jewels when she sees the ball went into the basket.
"I did it!"
"You were finally able to do it, that's great for you." – Subaru chuckles petting her head like how he does to his adorable little sister, Ema.
"It didn't take you that long to learn the basics either, color me impressed, Sunshine." – Toshiro grinned before shooting his ball into the hoop, out of nowhere, Lucy felt water splash on her hoodie and she stumbled a bit before Subaru caught her before Lucy fell on the floor.
"I'm so sorry!" – a short guy with glasses bowed frantically.
"I should've watched where I was going." – Lucy moved the hoodie away from her body, so it wouldn't get sticky, waving off the guy.
"No, it's fine, I should've been more aware of my surroundings to prevent it. (she said out loud subconsciously) I've grown quite defenseless lately, letting my guard down like that is not me." – when she noticed that she said it out loud instead of mentally scolding herself about it.
"What do you mean by that, Sunshine?" – Toshiro inquired cautiously, as the other people inside of the gym heard it, they stopped and listened.
"Hehe...umm...um...well...well where my hometown is quite dangerous that it will be easy to get seriously injured." – she said passively trying to finish this topic, Subaru, who noticed the tense in the atmosphere tried to change the subject.
"But your hoodie." – Subaru sighed
"What have I done?!" – the boy gasped remembering his mistake earlier.
'Is this something to be worried about, humans are indeed interesting'. Lucy thought.
"It's fine I got something she can wear in my locker so, no need to worry little man." – Toshiro stated as he drags her away from the group, he is still suspicious and concern lurking in his heart but Toshiro trusted Lucy to wait for her to tell him her secrets that she's trying hard to hide.
They enter the boy's locker room and Lucy stands there as he hands her a small towel and an oversized hoodie.
