"Damn it! I didn't steal your wife, so why do you hate me so much?!" Goku grumbled while flying at full speed, dodging Broly's relentless attacks. He truly couldn't comprehend why Broly harbored such an intense hatred for him, treating him as a mortal enemy.
Unfazed by Goku's frustration, Broly continued his relentless pursuit, bombarding the surrounding asteroids with energy blasts. Every shot reduced them to cosmic debris. He truly lived up to his reputation as the ultimate destroyer.
As Broly closed the gap, Goku smirked and suddenly vanished using Instant Transmission, creating distance between them once more. This only infuriated Broly further, his roars echoing through space. However, within his rage, his power level surged even higher.
Goku quickly noticed the change—Saiyans draw strength from their anger, and Broly, as the Legendary Super Saiyan, exemplified this trait to the extreme.
"This is bad... If this keeps up, he'll just get stronger! I can't afford to keep provoking him!"
Realizing the danger, Goku once again used Instant Transmission to gain distance and then abruptly stopped, waiting for Broly to catch up.
"Hmph! Giving up on running, Kakarot?" Broly's eyes burned with fury and murderous intent. It was as if he instinctively knew that Goku was his destined rival—the one obstacle he had to eliminate to prove he was the strongest Saiyan.
"As expected of a Legendary Super Saiyan… You can survive in the vacuum of space. I assume it's your energy protecting you?" Goku observed coolly, ignoring Broly's threats.
"Enough talk! Die, Kakarot!" Broly bellowed and charged at him again.
"Why do you always have to shout 'Kakarot' before attacking? My name is Goku, not Kakarot!" Goku retorted, exasperated. Unleashing the full power of his Super Saiyan 1 form, he engaged Broly head-on.
The battle was a clash of speed and power, each exchange sending shockwaves rippling through the cosmos. Asteroids shattered, turning into cosmic dust within moments. Soon, nothing remained around them but the streaks of their combat.
Despite his best efforts, Goku soon realized that staying in his Super Saiyan 1 form wasn't enough. Broly's strength was simply overwhelming. Before long, Broly landed a devastating punch to Goku's gut, making him grunt in pain as his movements momentarily stalled.
Seizing the opportunity, Broly unleashed a barrage of heavy punches, each strike hammering Goku mercilessly. Finally, with a massive energy blast, he sent Goku tumbling into the endless void of space.
"Dammit… The Legendary Super Saiyan really is a monster! I can't keep holding back!" Goku steadied himself, breathing heavily. However, his injuries rapidly healed, his body regenerating before Broly's eyes. His breathing soon returned to normal—his immortality was taking full effect.
"I guess it's time to get serious!"
Goku's eyes shifted, activating the Rinnegan.
"Amaterasu!"
In an instant, black flames engulfed Broly. But instead of writhing in agony, Broly merely blinked in confusion. What was Kakarot even trying to do?
Goku's heart sank. The intense flames were completely repelled by Broly's golden aura, unable to touch his body. Though slightly irritated by the heat, Broly easily dispersed the flames with a single burst of energy.
"You've got to be kidding me!" Goku was utterly frustrated. In past trials, Amaterasu had proven to be a deadly technique. But against Broly? It was completely useless!
Unwilling to give up, he attempted Tsukuyomi, but Broly only flinched momentarily before shaking it off. At Broly's level, his sheer willpower and mental resilience made him nearly immune to illusions. Unless Goku's spiritual strength far surpassed his opponent's, mind tricks were ineffective.

"Shit… He's getting even stronger!" Goku's face turned serious.
Broly was supposed to be limited to his Legendary Super Saiyan form, unable to achieve higher Super Saiyan transformations. But what if that limitation didn't exist? What if he could stack Legendary Super Saiyan Mode on top of Super Saiyan 2 or 3?
That would be catastrophic.
"I can't let this drag on!" Goku resolved to end the battle immediately.
Unleashing the full power of his Super Saiyan 2, he charged forward. The two combatants clashed again—this time, their fight was a pure contest of strength and skill.
"Die!!"
Broly roared and aimed a devastating punch at Goku's chest.
Instead of dodging, Goku grinned and took the hit head-on. Blood spurted from his mouth, but his smile remained. In that split second, he used his own skull as a weapon, headbutting Broly with all his might!
The sheer force of the impact left Broly dazed, his massive body staggering.
Seizing the opportunity, Goku grinned mischievously.

Wrapping his arms around Broly's head, Goku repeatedly slammed his forehead against Broly's, adopting a street brawler fighting style. The repeated headbutts left Broly dizzy and disoriented.

Goku kept up the assault, while Broly, for the first time in his life, was completely overwhelmed.
As Broly struggled to regain his composure, Goku made his move.
Summoning two Shadow Clones, he had them fuse together, then reverted to his base form before fusing with the clone again.

At that moment, Broly shook off his dizziness and recovered. His eyes locked onto Goku, blazing with sheer fury. "Kakarot! I'll kill you!"
What he had just experienced was the greatest humiliation of his life, and his rage had now reached its peak. His energy surged once more, and within his golden aura, streaks of electricity began to flicker.
Goku's eyes widened in shock. No way—did I just piss him off so much that he's about to ascend to Super Saiyan 2? If Broly really did manage to reach SSJ2 and then activated his Legendary mode on top of it… Damn, that would be a total disaster!
At this point, I should clarify my take on the Legendary Super Saiyan form. Unlike regular Saiyans, Legendary Super Saiyans can't normally transform into Super Saiyan 2 or 3. However, I've set it up so that the Legendary Super Saiyan state functions like an additional mode—meaning that even in Super Saiyan 2 or 3, a Saiyan can still activate the Legendary transformation, significantly amplifying their power.
"I can't risk this dragging on—time to end it!"
Without hesitation, Goku transformed straight into Super Saiyan 2. A single fusion alone had already enhanced his power tremendously, and now, in Super Saiyan 2, his strength was beyond anything a non-fused SSJ2 could match.
