Chapter 157 - Chapter 157: Shadows That Whisper

The weight of fifteen trillion wasn't in the case—it was in the air. A presence that wrapped itself around Ochieng like a silent noose, waiting to tighten.

As the Maybach glided into a hidden underground garage, Linet was already working. "Encrypted networks just exploded with chatter. Everyone's asking one question—who the hell owns the case?"

Ochieng loosened his tie, exhaling. "Let them keep asking."

Rolex smirked, but Victoria leaned forward, voice razor-sharp. "That attack wasn't just about the money. Someone wants to see how far you'll go before you break."

Ochieng's eyes darkened. "Then let them watch."

The door opened before he touched it. Bruno, standing tall, flanked by two armed men, motioned them inside. The private suite reeked of power—gold-trimmed glass tables, city lights reflecting off sleek black marble, and a single portrait of a woman none of them recognized.

Seated at the far end, sipping from a golden cup, was Walter. "Ochieng. You've made the world kneel, but have you figured out who's still standing?"

Ochieng sat across from him, placing the case on the table. "I don't need to. They'll come to me."

Walter chuckled, nodding toward a side door. It opened, revealing a woman draped in silk—a face Ochieng hadn't seen in years.

Seline.

The ex who had once shattered him. The same woman now staring at him with unreadable eyes.

"I came to warn you," she whispered. "There's something bigger than you, bigger than this money. You don't understand what you've walked into."

Ochieng didn't blink. "Then explain."

She hesitated. "Not here. Not now. But soon."

The room was silent except for the slow ticking of a hidden clock. Walter poured himself another drink. "Interesting night, isn't it?"

Ochieng stood, gripping the case. His voice was calm, but his heart was a storm. "Let them come. Let them all come."

He turned toward the door, stepping into a world that was about to burn.
