Chapter 162 - Chapter 162: The Fire Within

The Black Lotus Club was no longer just a meeting ground—it was a battlefield waiting to erupt. Ochieng could feel the weight of every eye in the room, watching, waiting for the moment he would either fold or declare war.

Brian leaned back, amusement flickering in his eyes. "You have no idea what you're up against, Ochieng."

Ochieng smirked. "No, Brian. You have no idea what I'm capable of."

The tension snapped like a live wire. Rolex shifted slightly behind Ochieng, his hand hovering over the concealed weapon at his waist. Linet's sharp gaze scanned the room, calculating every possible outcome. Gideon, ever the strategist, had already noted the weaknesses in the Council's formation.

Brian took a sip of his whiskey, unaffected. "The Council has already made their decision. If you refuse to cooperate, they'll come for you. And when they do, you won't be able to stop them."

Ochieng chuckled, a low and dangerous sound. "Let them come."

Without another word, he stood, turning his back on Brian and the Council's enforcers. It was a bold move—one that few men would dare attempt in enemy territory. Rolex, Linet, and Gideon followed him out, leaving behind an air of uncertainty.

Outside, the city pulsed with life, but for Ochieng, the war had already begun.

Rolex exhaled sharply. "They won't let this go."

Linet's voice was cold. "We should strike first."

Gideon nodded in agreement. "They underestimate you, Ochieng. That's their mistake."

Ochieng's mind raced. He had built his empire from the ground up, surviving betrayals, heartbreak, and bloodshed. Now, they thought they could break him?

Not a chance.

As they walked towards their waiting cars, Ochieng's phone buzzed. A single message flashed across the screen.

"You're not alone in this. Midnight. Warehouse 17."

No sender. No explanation.

But Ochieng knew—this was only the beginning.
